    Thanks for sharing Paula! You know I've heard other carnivores say a carnivore video popped up on their TH-cam feed when they weren't even interested in that sort of thing ,and they watched the video, started carnivore, and healed their body. It's amazing what God will use to reach us!

    You have been such a blessing to me, especially in this Ketoish journey. You are an inspiration and an example. The Lord is using you in a big way in this area of encouraging people to make changes in their lives to improve health and vitality. Thank you.
    P. S. We just spent a week in the thumb of Michigan and LOVED it. The weather was perfect and we had so much fun! I thought of you a lot, knowing not only that you live up there (north of the thumb), but also because you were on your road trip with your mom for your precious’s aunt’s funeral. What a wonderful reunion you will have one day.

    Thank you so much for telling me that I need to give my body a chance to heal before I will see weight loss. You’re the first one that has said that, and the scale not moving has been a real demotivator for me, but my waistband is getting looser, and I need to focus on the non-scale victories right now.

      Yes and as you eat higher protein, you hold onto muscle. Go by body measurements and the way your clothes are fitting

    I enjoy all you videos but it was really timely to see this one. I didn't remember how you started. This really reminds me that cheat days are costly. You guys make a difference! Thank you for what you do.

      I had a cheat day recently (that turned into 3!) after just getting back into this way of eating. I paid dearly. I even had a histamine type response, and the pain/stiffness in my lower joints made me question if it's ever worth it to do it again.

    Hello Paula and you for sharing your journey..for me, it also happened like that...6 years ago (on the 30 of May), i was just watching something on TH-cam and One of the videos of Dr. Berg popped on, and it was the video where he said that you need to get healthy first to you lose the weight, not lose weight to get healthy ...a light bulb turned on in my brain and I started watching all of his videos ....and from then on nobody can convince me otherwise...I've been Keto ever since...yes it has been the best thing for health reasons and more❤❤❤❤ God bless you ❤️ 🙏🏻

    You are definitely an inspiration Paula. I’ve been low carb for over two years and it’s helped in so many ways. Like you I eat lots of meat. Our butcher is delighted! This is a lifestyle not a fad or something you try and can’t wait to get off like previous things I’ve tried, slimming clubs mainly! Like you it was all about trying to improve my health, the weight loss was needed and welcome though. I would encourage people to try it, what have you got to lose?

    this was great to here. I just started back on ketovore (sometimes carnivore days too) to help me shed excess weight, and to help with my Lymes and PCOS symptoms, but also to help with anxiety and symptoms of early-onset perimenopause (I'm only 44 yet here we are lol). And it's frustrating since the scale is hardly budging, even with days of OMAD or straight up fasting for a day or two at a time. I did see a small change in inches, and I'm taking pictures and measurements. But not seeing any real weight come off is frustrating since I know there is so much of it to lose (I need to lose possibly up to around 75lbs).
    I know I am horribly insulin resistant to top everything off, so I guess maybe I'm like you in that I have to let my body do some repair work before the weight really starts to move. I'm going to stick it out, I've only been back at it around 40 days and did lose a few initial water wt pounds.
    Thank you for sharing all that you do, and giving us your first-hand insights, recipes, etc. It helps out so much and you are appreciated~

    I was wanting to get the Equip protein powder. I noticed that the carb count isn't on the peanut butter flavor. I have emailed them with no response. What is your opinion on the carb count for this flavor? Do you think it is less or more than the other flavors?

    • @lowcarbrevelation

      I asked my rep and this is the answer I got for you “There is actually less than 1g of carbs per serving in the PB Prime, so that's why it's not listed. :)
      (The total net carbs is .66g per scoop.)”

    Thanks Paula. I asked my doctor what my ideal weight should be. She said she’s more concerned about the overall picture of improved health that I have achieved more so than a number on the scale. Just curious how much weight you have lost.

  • @marlenejohnston4854

    I want to eat meat based but I just can't get past the "high cholesterol" scare. Also, I have had breast cancer and a meat based diet is frowned upon from what I have read. Heart related problems are often called the "silent killer" because you do not feel bad until it is too late. That also plays with my thinking...I don't know what to do. I too want to remove fat from my body. Thanks for the video.

    • @lowcarbrevelation
      @lowcarbrevelation  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I used to have fear of that but my quality of life now is so much better than it used to be. I’d rather feel this way and have high cholesterol than to feel like I used to feel. That life was miserable

    • @HecticMolments
      @HecticMolments 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      I know it's hard to get out of that mindset. But seriously, forget about the cholesterol. That fearmongering from it is about 50 years out of date. Even my doctor still preaches about it, and a low fat, high fiber diet. I just ignore her lol. The things you really want to pay more attention to, that are far more important than cholesterol are: your overall weight/body mass; resting heart rate and blood pressure, your blood sugar and A1c, fasting insulin (if you can get your dr to order it); your inflammation markers like CRP/CPep; liver enzymes, your triglycerides and trig-to-chol ratio, and the particle size/density of your cholesterol. And if you can get occasional CAC scans too.
      If it makes you feel any better, there was a 'study' (can't think of a better word for it) done a few years ago, that looked at the info on people who had had some kind of coronary event (be it a heart attack or stroke), and MOST of them (not a lot, MOST) who had the events had either 'normal' or 'low' levels of cholesterol. And dietary cholesterol actually has very little, if any, affect on your serum cholesterol levels.
      Also, meat doesn't cause cancer of any kind. That's fearmongering from pharma and grain-based corps and zealots. If you watch the movie The Magic Pill, there is a woman in it that cured her breast cancer with a ketogenic diet. Most cancers feed on sugar as one of their main fuel sources.

      @@marlenejohnston4854 Youre welcome! And you can look up some good info from ppl here on youtube as well, like Dr Berry, Anthony Chaffee for starters. It's taking mainstream medicine a long time to catch up with current research on diet and cholesterol (and well, they make more money on statins than any other med just about so theres that lol)
