Oh WOW! I was just mentioning you in my post regarding reversing T2D....because YOU were the person who started me on that path. Today my latest HbA1c was 5.7 so well on the way to where I'm headed....and thanks to YOU! I started.❤❤❤
Good to see you again. Missed you. Lost my Mum in March. Hang in there Christina. So sorry you went through such a tough time. Back pain is the worst...never felt pain like a sciatica bout. You literally cannot do anything...even go to the bathroom without help. And here you are again....you came back to us....you keep swinging and trying to teach us and give us new information. Thank you.
Hi Christina. I found your channel today. This is my third video I’ve watched of yours. Listening whilst I practice piano 😁. I also have hashimotos and slipped the lower disc in my back twice in the same year in 2017. The most excruciating pain I have ever experienced so I feel for you. Suggestion: have you ever learnt about electromagnetic waves interfering with thyroid function? There is a book called Invisible Rainbow which is an excellent read I recommend. I suggest getting an EMF reader and checking out your exposure levels in your home as high EMF exposure has been proven to mess with thyroid function. We have Ethernet cables where we sit now and no WiFi. In the evening I keep my phone in an emf pouch. Food for thought. If you are interested in exploring this further; I personally own the Trifield meter which measures electric, magnetic and radio frequencies 👍
Omg! I have missed you!!! 🤸🤸♀️🤸🤸Yaaay! I understand the need for a break completely. (I'm in the U.S. and need a break from... well, you can guess who 🤪) I have needed your calming voice so I am grateful 🙏 🙏🙏 that you are back. Hey! Come on and talk about anything you want! Seriously. I always loved your vaca vids. Tell us funny stories about anything- anything. Do vids with your hubby cooking again. Bring your sister on sometimes too!! Btw, so much of your info has stuck with and helped me. So much. Thank you ❤ (Reading thru comments I see you have lost your mom. I'm sorry, so sorry for your loss. I didn't mean to be insensitive, I got so excited seeing that you're back, I posted before watching your video.)
Glad to see you back! Oh my goodness, you've been through so much😪 Sympathies for the loss of your Mother.❤ I wish you and your family the best as you continue in the recovery of your health.❤
So glad you are feeling better & continuing to heal 💝 Your recent medical journey has so many parallels to what I'm going through since my hip/low back pain started in Dec 2019. My Hashimotos has only complicated my on-going struggle following my first spine surgery & despite the multiple lumbar nerveroot ablations, I've not had success fully resolving the pain (DDD & SI dysfunction diag). I have another hip stabilizing surgery coming - I keep pushing it off due to how difficult the recovery is, esp since I have not regained independence for walking, bathing, etc - & I know dropping more of this 'found' weight since my 9 months on prednisone (two years ago) would make a HUGE difference in my recovery! I have stayed off of FB for mental health reasons the last couple of years but have always returned for your sessions 💝 I am eager to learn more about your Hashimoto's healing journey. Huge hugs & best wishes on a full return to your best health 🥰
I am so blessed I heard this. My shoulder just had a shot in it last night, and my sciatica is bugging me. I have Hashimotos as well and cannot lose weight. I do have a plate in my neck and 6 screws. I wish I could take time off like you. Your story was meant for me to hear. Thank you. I eat carnivore right now to see what happens. I believe I needed to hear this today. I am following. I wish you well. I can’t wait to hear more. You are a blessing. Big hugs! ❤
I'm so sorry for your mom's death and for the difficult year you've had. It's lovely to see your beautiful self on my screen again, and I hope you will take your time and do what is right for you. Thanks for the update. Hugs from New Mexico.
Christina, first of all you look fantastic and you haven't aged! I am just so happy you had something that could be fixed because when I saw on our FB group that you were MIA my mind went to a dark place, so welcome back and thank you for sharing your story. I am definitely interested in any thing you have to say and share!
My husband has the same disc problems. It breaks my heart for you and him. He is 79 so he is afraid of surgery. Best love on your continued health journey.
I got diagnosed with Hashimoto’s in May 2023. Pain all over my body. The back pain you talked about where you couldn’t walk I experienced as well. I did carnivore and worked with integrative doctor. Pain went away within a month. However I got a nodule in my thyroid and when tested it came back 50/50 cancer. So in January I removed 1/2 thyroid and nodule and thankfully it was not cancer. Since April I started eating everything again without pain…sugar etc. Today I decided to go back to therapeutic carnivore. I am going to go through this journey with you. Pain is starting to creep up. You have to have a why! My why is I don’t want to feel that pain. Would love to know what you are doing …sorry for you going through all that but I am so glad you are back.
So good to see you back. I was thinking about you a couple days ago and then I saw this video come up last night. You have been through so much in the last year! I have had surgery on my back (L4/5, L3/4) and I know what the process and recovery is like. I’m wishing you health and all the good things that you’re working so hard for. So nice to see you back here. God bless you and continued success to you!❤
I’m so relieved to see you. You were missed! I’m so sorry for the loss of your mother. What a heck of a year. Here’s to good times ahead. The same thing happened to me in 1987. Almost a year of various things from drs, PT, etc. Who knew a blown disc could cause so much pain from the sciatic nerve. Ugh. I ended up having surgery in 1988.
I have missed you. I am thinking maybe I have a problem with my thyroid. I have talked to my primary care doctor and she has done a blood workup. we will see what she comes up with. Glad you are healing. I will keep following with you.
I hope your MD is helpful, but if needed, don’t be afraid to see a naturopath b/c they often have a deeper understanding of the thyroid, and our hormones.
Yaaaay, so happy you're back, we missed you! ❤️ since you have come back I hope a few other favorites keto and carnivore TH-camrs return soon also 😁 Carnivorous Me and Alvina Rayne, then I'll be @ 100% level happy 😁 hate it when my favourite TH-camrs drop off the face of the Earth 😢😢😂❤
I’m so happy to see you again friend. I’ve been watching you since the beginning and you’ve played such a role in my journey. Keto/ carnivore no sugar, no grains has been my savior. I also have hypothyroidism. Wishing you all the best on your healing journey and hope to see you more.
God I soo understand….. I had radical L5/S1 Spinal Fusion at 26 yrs old……..5 yrs later had Catastrophic Metalware failure (heads all sheered off the screws/collapsed bone grafts) …. Had a crazy Anterior/Posterior revision. Now I’m 61 yrs old and have never been pain free and on Heavy medications for Al ost my whole adult life…….Failed Thyroid, Early Menopause, OA, RA, CKD & NAFLD. Been on Carnivore Diet for almost a yr now….CKD Resolved, Working on Liver Function at the moment…..RA is way better👍. I don’t expect my nerve damage & Bone Graft Harvest Site damage, etc to miraculous resolve, but I’m doing what I can……all the best for your positive outcome…..❤️❤️👍🇦🇺
Good for you! You saw the problem, and took the steps to make a change. I feel for you . I've had the same with sudden sciatica onset and whenever I have lower back pain, especially in a particular spot, I am terrified of it happening again.. One of my sister's has issues with it , and my husband too. My poor husband has had 6 or 7 back surgeries at this point. Thank God the last one did the trick, and still gets episodes of pain. The worst is when the pain radiates down the butt cheek, all the way to the heel. Ugh. It sucks to be in pain all the time. So sorry to hear about the loss of your mom. That is so hard. I still miss both my parents, and they have been gone for a very long time.
I have hypothyroidism. I couldn’t shift wait and I was still had symptoms after thyroid medication. I finally asked for a reverse T3 test and found my body wasn’t converting my normal thyroid medication into T3 . I am now on T3 medication Tertroxin. Have lost weight and feeling much better. I also find carnivore the best diet for me. You have had a hell of a year. Be gentle with yourself.❤
T3 is what shifted my weight too. Many people do better with T3 added - not just in terms of weight loss but for resolving many hypothyroid issues that don’t resolve on T4 alone.
Hi, Christina. I’m so happy to see you back and I’m so sorry to hear what you’ve been going through. I can totally relate. I herniated my L4-L5 back in 1990 and went through the pain you described for over a year and a half before I had my spinal surgery. I was one of the lucky ones who had an almost miraculous recovery from the surgery. Unfortunately as the years have gone by I have had some problems on and off but never as bad as the pre-surgery years. I had several injections in my spine in 2009 and they were magic. Unfortunately my doctor also put me on Cymbalta which is another kind of hell which I finally was able to wean myself off of. Don’t ever take it! In the years since I’ve been good most of the time but have to be careful about what activities I engage in. I didn’t have a disc replacement, which I don’t think was being done back in the days of my surgery, but I’m wishing you the best possible outcome and a return to your normal life and activities.
Welcome back, condolence on the loss of your mam, and wow for the back journey, and yes, will continue to follow you. I started carnivore at easter, also for health, autoimmune issues and weight, after doing keto loosely for the last 3 years or so. finding it is amazing and feeling so much better, dont miss those foods at all, life is simpler - cooking and shopping, lol.
Hi Christina. I'm sorry to hear you've had such a tough year, especially the passing of your mother - Ar dheis de go raibh a hanam. Nothing prepares you for the loss of a parent. I'm glad your body is feeling a bit better and that your thyroid symptoms are improving. I can't begin to imagine the physical pain you've been in. You mentioned that weight had begun to creep up you on despite not changing your food. I wondered if you'd considered perimenopause as a factor? It can cause unexplained weight gain, it can affect your thyroid levels, and it can contribute to issues with bone density and body aches, amongst many other things. The joys of being a woman.
Welcome back Christina!🎉 I’ve missed you like everyone else here; just remembering your videos back when you spoke to us with a picture window background of dairy cows. I pray for every help and blessings to come your way for a pain free and healthy life. Thanks so very for this update as we all look forward to your physical recovery and a peace of mind that everything is going to work out. God is good!🌹💕🌹
Wow! What a journey! I've missed you and am sending you so much love and healing energy. Glad to hear you're on the upswing, and I'm looking forward to following along as you get back to full health! 💞
I am so sorry, Christina!! That is an awful lot for a person to go through in such a short time. It is good to see you again though 🤗 Although I am no longer Keto but am always supportive in others doing whatever they feel best for their health! It's so good to see you!
Great to see you back and so sorry to hear about your back. I feel your pain, I had microdiscectomy in 2016. I've never heard of full disc replacement surgery. Keeping everything crossed you're on the road to recovery now xx
Wow Christina….so sorry that you had to go through that. Very happy that you’ve switched to desiccated thyroid meds, so much better that synthetic. One step at a time…you’ll get there! 👏👏👏👏
Oh Christina! Bless you. You really have been through the mill. What a tough time you’ve had. I am so pleased you are on the mend now. It is so lovely to see you back on here. 🥰
Christina, I’m so glad you’re back. I’m so sorry you had such a horrible year! I would love to join you on your journey, as I’m in the same Hashimoto boat as you, and we have very similar thyroid symptoms. Losing weight is incredibly hard for me, even with strict keto. Looking forward to more videos, and you’re looking great by the way.
Welcome back Christina…chronic pain is invisible and most people don’t understand what you go through. It changes your whole life and you are made to adjust to it. It’s not easy mentally or physically. I’m sorry this happened to great lady like yourself. I’m glad you are strong and even though some days are going to be difficult, know you are loved by many❤ you are a fearless leader! Don’t ever forget that.
I know Sciatic Pain. I never knew pain like that existed! And it sounds like yours was even worse that mine! I had never had a problem with it, before. They were trying to increase and add to my BP meds, and they had doubled my Nifedipine. It got worse and worse and worse over weeks, to the point where I just couldn't sit and drive. I would have to stay home from work and I had one position I could law in with my leg over the side of the bed, the didn't hurt as bad. I didn't know it was the medication causing it, till one day I forgot to take my pills in the morning, and I started feeling better. I took them with lunch and an hour later it was full on pain. I had to skip taking one medication (I am on 7, then I was on 9, for Resistent Hypertension, I have had 5-6 strokes). I found I was the Nifedipine. It was tearing up the muscles in my but cheek and causig them to squeeze the sciatic nerve. I switched to amlodipiene and all is well again. Thank GOD! I have had the morphine one, I started making me panic and not be able to breath Dilaudid and Demerol work much better for me.
I was thrilled when I saw you back this morning! I was hoping since I've been seeing you on Instagram that you would come back. I have missed you terribly but am so sorry for the awful year you've had and for the loss of your mom. You don't look like you've aged to me and Im so happy you are feeling like things are getting better. Hugs and smiles from Florida!
I was very happy to see you! So sorry about the journey you have been on, but I’ll be happy to join you on your new roads of the future. I was worried about you.Lord bless you and help you❤
So sorry to hear re your mum, deepest sympathy. Chronic pain is so difficult to deal with and I’m happy to hear your surgery worked. I had a knee replacement in February and healing is slow. Take it slow. Happy to say my weight is going well following high protein, low(ish) carb with plenty of veg which is what I feel best on. My rheumatologist advised that continuous keto wasn’t working for me so I’ve found the sweet spot thankfully. Keep recovering well. ❤
G’day Christina So happy to see you’re doing videos again. I’d just found you, binge watched some of your videos, then you fell off the radar 😢 Anyway, I’m looking forward to travelling this road (to recovery) with you. Angie from Down Under ❤
I appreciate you making this video. The reality of gaining weight and sharing the journey is so inspiring! It's a struggle! I love that there are others in this struggle and we can be their for each other.
It's so good to see your pretty face again and I'm very sorry about your mom and the very difficult year you've had. I'm still here with you, bailing water so the boat don't sink. We haven't sunk yet, let's keep bailing. 🌹
I’ve missed you! ❤❤ I’m so sorry to hear this about you. I hope you get it straightened out. I, too, have a herniated disc between my L4 and L5. It has come to surgery and I hope it never does. I’ve felt some of your pain. My worst pain is trying to stand up after a long car ride. And I can only sleep on my left side after that ride. Much love and prayers for you. Please keep sharing with us.
Hi Christina, So happy to see you! I’ve been following your channel I think from the beginning and thought of you often. I am sorry to hear that you lost your Mom. I pray that you will continue to feel better. I learned so much from you when I started Keto and went along on your journey. Peggy🩷
So happy to see you again. I can relate since I had to quit work last July when I from being active to barely able to move, with knee bone on bone pain....but I feel so sad you hurt so much, and being so tired you can't move. Just keep loving your self and listen to your experts. I wish you only the best of everything. xoxo
So good to see you!! Take your own time and care. Life has a way of putting the brakes on our plans. I’m a long time follower, since tea with Christina and floor chats in Ireland. Thank you! I too recently lost my Mom
Christina it’s so great to see you again! I’m so sorry to hear about your health & the loss of your mother. Knowing your body so well seems to be an advantage as well as a curse. You are 1 of 3 successful Keto/carnivore UTubers that have left (Amanda & Tammy) that we worry about so thank you for the update.
Oh Christina, so so sorry to hear about your terrible injury & long recovery. I have missed your videos. I am so glad to see you are back & you are on the road to recovery & healing. Sending you love ❤️from down under Australia 🇦🇺
What a painful year it has been for you ! Glad to see you again in a much better health ! I thought low cortisol is better for body and high cortisol is bad, but you said it is the other way round. I am confused. Hopefully you do not have any problems with *bone density* which is a common problem for women around 45 and above... Let us know about your treatment, physiotherapy and supplements if you take any...
I'm so glad you are back, so sorry you had to go through all of those issues. I have had a lot of emotional things happen (my mother and brother passed and my husband fighting cancer twice), I have gained about 30lbs back of the 150 I lost. I feel horrible and now trying to hop back on the keto/carnivore train.
I would love to know the symptoms of hypothyroidism/ hashimotos, which I have too. And what foods are best for this condition. I also have herniated discs, bulging discs , plus bone spurs that are close to the spinal cord. Injections of steroids and anaesthesia haven’t reduced the pain. Now I can’t have any more as I’ve made too much keloid scar tissue that it stops the needle from penetrating. I put up with the pain as I had liver and almost kidney failure due to the strong medications. Now I only take Panadol. My liver has returned to normal after 5 years of keto, kidney function is nearly normal as I’m over 70 now. I also suffer lymphoedema , which is the horribilist , painful thing without any cure! Stay safe, I’ve missed your encouraging posts, so sad about your dear mum. And look to the future as best as you can. ❤
SO Happy to see you again and so sorry that you have gone through all this!! I’ve been following you since 2019 and looked forward to all you have to say! I saw the few things you put up on Insta and thought “oh good” she’s well and back! I’m wishing for your continued health and healing ❤❤❤
Ready and waiting. So glad to see you back. You look good. It was only this week I checked on utube to see if you had surfaced again. You e made my day 🌈🌈🌈
I have spinal stenosis and 3 herniated discs so I know exactly where you’re coming from with the dreadful pain! I take tramadol and have a tens machine which all help. I’m having an operation on 1st July 🤞🏼
I'm sorry you've gone through all that, Christina, and my condolences for the loss of your mum. Keep up the good work, you're an inspiration to many of us! Glad you're back xo
Oh Christina! What a year, im so sorry. I know how you felt with the sciatic nerve. My t4 and t5 leaked. I had bad pain for a year then i did the shots about 6 of them and the pain went away. I am lucky ive been pain free for 3 years. But the other day i moved wrong and my sciatic nerve hurt again, but it went away. That pain is worse then child birth and i had 3 natural births. Glad to see you back talking keto, carnivore. Best way to eat.
I'm so happy you are back! I was literally looking at your channel over the weekend to make sure I hadn't missed anything. I was worrying about you. I'm so sorry you had such a bad year.
i was looking for you last week, hoping that i would find you on you tube or facebook. I was so sooo happy to see you this morning! Sorry to hear about all you have been thru this past year. I hope you have many bright and happy years to come.
Oh WOW! I was just mentioning you in my post regarding reversing T2D....because YOU were the person who started me on that path. Today my latest HbA1c was 5.7 so well on the way to where I'm headed....and thanks to YOU! I started.❤❤❤

So sorry for your health issues. That is where he had his problems. L4-L5. Very common area for problems. Glad your back❤

T3 is what shifted my weight too. Many people do better with T3 added - not just in terms of weight loss but for resolving many hypothyroid issues that don’t resolve on T4 alone.
How lovely that you're back !
Welcome back! Will follow your story again. ❤
You were the first person I followed on utube.
Great to see you back Christina! Condolences on the loss of your dear Mum. Sending you lots of healing vibes from a Dub in Australia 🤗 xx
Thank you!
Thank you! I don't plan to take any more medication if I can help it.
"Cymbalta hurts worse". Took me 2 years 4 months to slowly taper. I understand, Cymbalta is absolutely poison. So glad you are off!
Mis mejores deseos para usted Christina ....saludos desde Panamá
Welcome back, condolence on the loss of your mam, and wow for the back journey, and yes, will continue to follow you. I started carnivore at easter, also for health, autoimmune issues and weight, after doing keto loosely for the last 3 years or so. finding it is amazing and feeling so much better, dont miss those foods at all, life is simpler - cooking and shopping, lol.
Thank you for sharing Christina!! You were missed. Keep up the great work. Sending love from Cape Breton, NS. Hugs
Thank you!
Sending you a huge hug and many blessings!!!
OMG! I went through the same issue while on a cruise. It was horrendous. Glad you're better. Welcome back.
Oh no! I hope you have recovered well xx
I did, but it took some time.
Welcome back Christina!🎉
I’ve missed you like everyone else here; just remembering your videos back when you spoke to us with a picture window background of dairy cows. I pray for every help and blessings to come your way for a pain free and healthy life. Thanks so very for this update as we all look forward to your physical recovery and a peace of mind that everything is going to work out. God is good!🌹💕🌹
Thank you!
I am so happy to see you and listening to you Christina.
I wish all well to you.
I was worried about you.Lord bless you and help you❤
Good to see you again
I've been wondering about you and here you are! What a journey! Sorry for the loss of your mother.
So sorry to hear your experiences with your health. Prayers for a total healing.
Nice to see you again.what a year you have had. Only way is up and into good things. Regards and best wishes from Canada.
💙💙💚💚💛💛💜💜💖💖. Much LOVE...! !
G’day Christina
So happy to see you’re doing videos again. I’d just found you, binge watched some of your videos, then you fell off the radar 😢
Anyway, I’m looking forward to travelling this road (to recovery) with you.
Angie from Down Under ❤
Missed you, so glad you're back but I'm very sorry to hear about the loss of your mom. Been ten years for me and I still feel the loss every day.
I appreciate you making this video. The reality of gaining weight and sharing the journey is so inspiring! It's a struggle! I love that there are others in this struggle and we can be their for each other.
So good to see you again, and thank you for your honesty. your amazing
It's so good to see your pretty face again and I'm very sorry about your mom and the very difficult year you've had. I'm still here with you, bailing water so the boat don't sink. We haven't sunk yet, let's keep bailing. 🌹
So happy to see you back!! I am glad to see you doing so much better! I often thought about you! Hugs Laura
So great to hear from you 🥰hope your recovery keeps going well, and you fell better with each day.
Good to see you. Deepest sympathy to you and your family on the loss of your beloved Mom. I am here for the journey. Hugs! 😊
I’ve missed you! ❤❤
I’m so sorry to hear this about you.
Thank you!
Sorry you aren't feeling good xx
Good to see you! I am sorry you are going through all of this. I wish you well. XX
so happy tp see you again!!!! my condolences about yr mom. of course i m in. cant wait dear!!!
Great to see you ! ❤
SO Happy to see you again and so sorry that you have gone through all this!! I’ve been following you since 2019 and looked forward to all you have to say! I saw the few things you put up on Insta and thought “oh good” she’s well and back! I’m wishing for your continued health and healing ❤❤❤
Thank you!
Ready and waiting. So glad to see you back. You look good. It was only this week I checked on utube to see if you had surfaced again. You e made my day 🌈🌈🌈
Oh thank you! I am back 😁
So so happy your back, trilled to see you, 👍🙏👌❤️
I have spinal stenosis and 3 herniated discs so I know exactly where you’re coming from with the dreadful pain! I take tramadol and have a tens machine which all help. I’m having an operation on 1st July 🤞🏼
Yes yes yes, so lovely to see you on here
Yay, thank you!
I'm sorry you've gone through all that, Christina, and my condolences for the loss of your mum. Keep up the good work, you're an inspiration to many of us! Glad you're back xo
Thank you!
We will hold you in prayer-- oh Christina-- hoping you do even better on the protocol you are doing
Thank you! I am glad you are pain free now, it's so debilitating.
I just wanted to say I am so sorry for the loss of your mom. My mother passed away in 2019. Unfortunately i know all too well how difficult it is.
Great to have you back. Sorry to hear about your mom. Sorry for all the health issues too.
I don’t think you are stubborn, I think you are determined ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I'm so happy you are back! I was literally looking at your channel over the weekend to make sure I hadn't missed anything. I was worrying about you. I'm so sorry you had such a bad year.
Aww thank you for still being here after so long! I am glad to be back.
Thank you for sharing, good to see you back. Do take care.
