    A good idea would have been to take the photos with both the 2nd and 1st generation and compare them directly. However, thanks for the video.

      Yeah Polaroid was very quiet about this release and I don’t understand why. This should be the most important camera for them, the low camera price point and low film price point.

    Just randomly found your video in my recommended and thought hey, why not watch it (coming from someone who has an instax fujifilm in his household) out of curiosity. And I'm surprised by this vid, as in, it being one shot (...I think?) and how it just showed a TON of pictures of the product in action and your opinion of it. Thanks a lot for this video!

      You’re welcome
      Yeah, I’ve always hated editing so I do all mine in one shot.
      For me, the most important part of this new version was the improvement of the quality of the images. They went from being literally unusable temperamental trash to more standard vintagy Polaroid looking

    It would be extremely popular if it would print photos taken from mobile phones so, in this case, a miniature pocketable mobile printer is all that's required.

      @@michaelbell75 Your comment is based on the assumption that _all_ people who buy Polaroid cameras are anti-digital photography when in reality it's either _some_ or _most_ . Some people who buy Polaroid cameras probably still take photos with their phone and only use the Polaroid for rare or special occasions. Polaroid themselves also made a digital photo printer for smartphones which tells me that they don't consider themselves above making products for digital photographers. Based on this I would say they should consider making a camera similar to Fuji's Instax Mini Evo that can print from bluetooth but can also do direct prints. I'm not saying they should abandon the full film cameras, just that they should consider making Instant Digital Cameras with bluetooth printing support as well.

    I have found that the Gen 2 overexposes in some situations when it’s a sunny day outside. In darker situations it Cleary produces a better photo, but in more outside scenarios the Gen 1 gives more detail and doesn’t blow things out

    • @CREATIVEreviews
      @CREATIVEreviews  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah gen 2’s definitely over exposing. I like that lighter vibe more than the gen 1
      I can always expect my gen 1 to be way to dark. Maybe it has more contrast but I wouldn’t say it has more details

      INSTAX photos are clear and crisp with good contrast. Polaroid photos are more vintage looking and can vary greatly from photo to photo.
      INSTAX is consistent. Polaroid is experimental

    I own the gen 1 go and it's a joke. Like you said the image quality is awful, and the quality of the film itself is hit or miss.
    My gen 1 also started malfunctioning 7 months after owning it where film got stuck in the camera or the rollers ruining the film and becoming even more waste of money

    • @CREATIVEreviews
      @CREATIVEreviews  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I would try cleaning the rollers regularly. That would at least fix that issue
      But in my opinion, sell your old version for whatever you can get and then buy the gen 2
      The models I have of this new version are finally usable with that Polaroid vintage look

    I have a gen 1 go and it's hit and miss. I'm not convinced to buy the gen 2 as changing the use port is a piecemeal change. Polaroid needs to improve the lens, the flash, and introduce something similar to that a Fuji Instax Evo camera can do. Polaroid, you CAN do better this.

    Great review, thank you. I've just bought my Go 2 Gen, and overall is an awesome little piece. The problem I've noticed is a recurrent white pin mark on the top left corner, exactly as the one on the very first photo you show. Is that a problem of the film or the camera? In my case around 70% have it, and I've taken 35 photos. My camera is right out of the box, so I don't think it is related to dirt in the rollers. Hope you can clarify that question. Thanks again

    • @CREATIVEreviews
      @CREATIVEreviews  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      It’s the camera. It seems to press on that portion of the film on most cameras. Polaroid knows and they always say it’s the film 🤷‍♂️
      Although it may be good to clean the rollers even if the camera is brand new

      @@CREATIVEreviewsoh I see, those are quite bad news, because it means that issue won't go away. Apart from that, Is there any reason why one photo can show that dot and the very next be without it? I've been thinking about the possibility of the light shield rolling back and damaging the film...I don't know man, but it's a bit anoying, specially when the dots appear in great shots. Thanks

    • @CREATIVEreviews

      They’ll say it’s just the vintage aesthetic of the camera and look but it’s just because it’s a inexpensive body and camera that isn’t made the same every time
