Scotland is beautiful at the best of times but when the Weather is as nice as that, Wow! Thanks for taking us on the castle tour it looks stunning. They certainly loved an ornate ceiling.

Wasn't it that Robert the Bruce gifted the land, not the castle itself? I've read stories of the Burnet(t)s building the castle. ( I am a Burnett myself, so very interested!) p.s. The video is very well done. Thank you so much! I've always wanted to go to Scotland to see all.the.things, and sit where my ancestors sat, etc., but probably won't be able to, so it is so nice to see it directly through a visitor's eyes.
You are correct, sorry if I said the wrong thing in the video. The castle is later than Robert the Bruce and the website says "The Burnett family, who lived in the castle for over 350 years, had roots in the area dating back to 1323 when Robert the Bruce granted them nearby land. Alexander Burnett built the castle in the 16th century, an intricate maze of turrets, towers, oak panels and painted ceilings, many of which survive beautifully to this day." It is a beautiful castle on some gorgeous land, so your ancestors had great taste! I hope you can get to Scotland one day but if there is any other places or places you'd like to see, let us know! I know so very little about plants but they look a bit like bluebells or harebells....maybe something called a bugle? Honestly, I'm not sure. That's a shame that there was a bad fire. Wouldn't it be cool to be able to donate this land and still get to live on it. Just beautiful
