If you mingle within CN community you would know she is dubbed as allegedly Vigil's rival for the title of worst 6*. From what I've seen that's sorta not true at all? Like, say, I could imagine more people finding use in her (since her kit is versatile and relatively simple) than Fartooth for example. Chose to make comparison with Fartooth since I simp for her, well versed in her meta value and usability
I think people just don't like using Merchants. The DP drain mechanic probably turns them off because, unless their kit is as broken as Surtr, many players just wouldn't use them over easier options. It's kind of a double-edged sword. You either make them broken to justify their DP drain to appeal to more players, or you keep them balanced, so only those that really want to use them will be able to. I love using Lee, so personally, I'll look forward to Swire alter.
CN is full of a bunch of annoying bastards that bitch anytime a new operator comes out that isn't the next Mylnar. I'd take their initial thoughts on new characters with a grain of salt until you can see enough evidence to show how good or bad an OP is.
