Ascalon does more total damage if enemies aren't super bulky, but that damage is delayed so I don't think it matters much to even mention that. In modern content many enemies are getting more and more defence, so Mizuki will always have a big headstart. Let's look at actual numbers. Mizuki does a physical hit of roughly 3,3k and an arts hit to 2 enemies with low health roughly 2k big. So ~5,3k damage every 7 seconds. Ascalon does 2 hits of roughly 2k, immediately applying 2 stacks of talent 1 for a dot of ~220 arts per second. So 4k physical damage and after 7s you'll have 1540 arts damage as well for a total of roughly 5,5k. This is just skills, no basic attack to apply more stacks of talent 1. So just skills on paper they do similar damage, but Mizuki has a big advantage on higher defence enemies. Ascalon has a bigger advantage on larger waves of 3 or more enemies since her dot does not have an enemy limit. Additionally, Ascalon has better CC. Counterpoint: Mizuki's arts hit benefits more from spinach and spagghetti in IS than the dot of Ascalon. Winner? Both is good, just make sure that you know what you need in your current situation. Most people are not impressed with Mizuki's damage, so neither will Ascalon's damage impress either. Just pick your poison.
By this, I believe that Mizuki & Ascalon are generally the same operator especially if you're not going to use both of them anyway. But if you are like me who interested in Ambusher : Mizuki is better in terms of damage, it can reach up to 4000 damage per charge. But since his slow is worse he needs some help to stall the enemies While Ascalon may not have the biggest damage, but her slow & "poison" makes her better at solo-ing lanes. But if she face fixed movement enemies (like you see Patriot here) & of course higher DEF, it makes her harder to kill the enemy
@@kenshi3942Mizuki was also pretty relevant with IS#3, being one of the few consistent starters in SW15 and one of the few ground ops that wouldn't die to urchins (Ascalon would also be shafted by RES). He still works in 4... But at this point both of them have to compete with Ela, Taxes and Ya2... I'd imagine at base Ascalon might do more, but Mizuki can scale better (especially with ASPD, which is easiest for specialists to get, especially for IS#4).
Neat, gonna use this to prove whoever said Mizuki’s Skill 1 is overall better wrong. He’s still good against single (or double with that module) targets, but Ascalon seems better for more general uses.
Seeing the stages where Mizuki cleared faster and would've cleared if not for Ascalon DoT / lack of someone blocking for Mizuki in those instances, and having Mizuki build, glad she doesn't powercreep him, and he deals better with stat inflation. No big meta bait before Limited banner like Ines!
Honestly, love cc based ambusher. All this time i usually use s2 mizuki cuz that is the only skill with good enough crowd control. But i used ethan more oftem since she is way better at cc than mizuki. When ascalon arrive, time to bench mizuki forever.
Mizuki’s S1 is still better due to how it combos with his talent and module. Especially against a single target that the other ambushers are not able to handle.
Mizuki more in damage But ye, Ascalon fix it with big poison as well If you guys not sure who raise, you can see yourself *can raise just both for funny killing wall*
Just use one or the other if you dont have them both, and you'd be fine. A situation where you need one of them specifically i feel like would be very hard to come by and support units still exist.
would it look much different if we use x module for mizuki? that's what i generally use for s1/s2, y is more of an s3 module. thanks for the videos as always, i really like the videos showing off new units
The beginning is misleading by accident, believe. While the team screen shows modY, if you look at the deployment of Mizuki in each of the clips, the modX symbol flashes. So he is using the correct module. You can also tell because the slow effect is visually applied to enemies that enter his range (the black lines trailing behind them).
It would mean that Mizuki has a shorter interval between when the enemy is in range and when the damage occurs. (Although the overall motion time should be shorter for the Ascalon thanks to its qualities.)
@@Only_Ameen04 Ascalon also originally gained +8 ASPD. In addition, when damage occurs during the attack motion varies from character to character, and a faster attack speed does not necessarily mean faster damage generation. For example, some characters with the same 1-second motion will do damage in the first 0.3 seconds, while others will do damage in 0.7 seconds. If a character deals damage in 0.3 seconds, the motion after the damage is longer, and if a character deals damage in 0.7 seconds, the motion after the damage is shorter.
I have a suggestion for you since you can mod anything in your server on Ops about the worst Ops. Since the kit about the whole thing is Utility, I need you to test it and make a compare on the old with the mod on that ops for yourself. Talent and Skill mod is this (you know about the ops when you feel the skill is off). Talent : Expand Attack Range, Attacks inflict -15 Attack Speed to the enemy for 3 seconds. Skill 1 : The next attack deals 150% Physical damage, inflicts Freeze the target and -50% Movement speed afterwards within 4 seconds Skill 2 : Attack Speed +75. Attack inflict -50% Movement Speed and have 40% chance to inflict cold the target for 5 seconds. When I see you can mod Mudrock when you want to, I need you to test this for your own attention.

So unless you are using ambusher as a boss killer(lol) Ascalon is always better. And with her s2 and s3 being better she is just straight upgrade over jelly-boy.
They're more like a sidegrade to one another mostly, with Mizuki s1 and s2 having advantages and drawbacks compared to Ascalon, but her s3 is undeniably better yeah.
eh her s3 more like weird for me the attack buff are low and the main point of that skill are for her being dodge baiter which is unusual and rarely used
The slow is insane bro, ascalon is better since you need slow to hit enemy that's you can't block as ambusher, so slow is always better regardless of dmg( since their dmg is almost the same mizuki high burst and ascalon dot)
So... the TL;DR is.... Mizuki has higher dmg output. But since he doesn't have that much crowd control, he isn't able to properly hit moving enemies, while Ascalon pretty much has a mini Mostima S3 built into her passive Then, Mizuki outperforms Ascalon in stationary/slow moving enemies, since he has high attack, high multipliers 300% physical + 180% arts (only 2 enemies) Ascalon can hit enemies more times thanks to the slow, resulting in more bleeding dmg and possibly dealing with enemies on lower health even outside her range
If you are into Ambusher, rather than choosing, you should know that you could just bring both.
