Are PO8 and P13 used for spped control? I am looking at buying a bike with this display. If PO8 is used for setting the power to the motorI am not sure how you set it to the nominal or peakpower of the motor. I would simply set it to the expected km the motor shoul push?
Update Ron" i found that the Battery has movement [lateral ] this has caused the terminals to burn, [this explains the E06 /08 fault] i have clamped it tight, its solved the problem, but need new teminals, them silly 2 pin hole type are burnt,
Aye ron" my display M5 needs repaced, the switch on the bars broke, tried Shengmillo theres had a short cable with round plug, mine is long full lenth square 5 wire, explained this ,but no joy,. so bought a aftermarket from chine ,see how it goes wen arrives,
@@RonWalkerCairngormGuides Bikes been good, 480miles, apart from error 8./6. sometimes, this is connections just need split and cleaned, ,dry days are here ,so need the switch gear, etc,,[ i can link out the broken switch, to get it running,] ,but its not ideal,

Last week I received my MX02s very happy with it. But after going through the settings and changing the PAS mode to 9 and back to 5 I cant reach PAS = 0. Now it by default start with PAS 1 and if I go down it stays on 1. So basically I only have PAS 1,2,3,4,5 or 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9

Set P08 to 25, the speed limit is in kilometres. You can set the speed limits anywhere from 1-100. 100= no speed limit for off-road only and 25 kilometres is the EU and UK legal speed limit which is equivalent to the UK's 15.5 mph.
@@RonWalkerCairngormGuides Thank you very much. I've just done that, but for some reason, 25 = 12mph (throttle - testing indoors). I set it to 32, and it's now about 15mph. PAS 2 - 5, throttle hits 24mph.
@@emadmoussa2576 have you tried P18 the speed offset, the throttle settings are different from pedal assist, you can turn off the throttle to stay legal in the UK?
@@emadmoussa2576 If you set P10 to one you can turn off the throttle and just have pedal assist. I now have my bike set to just 3 PAS rather than 5 and use just 1 or 2 most of the time. The higher settings and speeds just gobble up the battery!

Hi. I just bought the MX03. Is it possible to set the throttle to full power in any assist level? I just want to use the throttle to get me up to speed when accelerationg from zero without having to change to higher assist levels and then down again every time. Thank you.
The different assist levels cut out above a certain speed depending on which level you are in but should all offer some throttle assistance when starting. I generally keep mine in PAS2 or 3 to conserve the battery.
Do you know if it's possible to adjust this max speed for each individual PAS level? For me by default, PAS 1 is around 35km/h, which is way too fast. I'd like to set it up like PAS1= 15kmh PAS2= 20kmh PAS3= 25kmh And so on. Is this even possible or do I have to stick with these pre defined PAS max speeds?@@RonWalkerCairngormGuides
@@Zorandel1 On the old MX02 and 03, PAS 1 shouldn’t be as high 35 kmh the maximum on my bikes in PAS 1 is 13 kmh so something strange there! A list of the standard settings are in the video description but unfortunately you don’t have much control of the maximum speed which is set for each PAS setting.

For me the P08 default that my bike came with was 55. If I set it to e.g. 19, then my bike goes up to around 22kmh. But then it goes like that on all PAS settings. There's no difference between PAS 1 through 5. Only when I change it back to P08=55, does it begin to behave differently on each PAS level. Very weird...

AFAIA the speed and max current settings are fixed within the contoller hardware and you can only make a few minor adjustments to the PAS through the M5 controller. Happy to be proved wrong though!
I talked with the manufacturer a little while ago, the speed is usually locked to 24 kmh, however if you power up the controller by pressing the menu button while holding the brake, you get an E 02 message when you start it up, keep holding the brake and change the p08 setting to 100, and your speed will be completely unlocked.
SHENGMILO and HEZZO are from the same manufacturer in China, I have faced a lot of problems with their products since April 2021. 9 out of 10 items come with either an intrinsic issue or with a developing issue. Please for your own good avoid these two brands once and for all.
Hi Guys, Please help, I've the mx02 about a year n a half now, with about 4500 km on the clock, it's well maintained and looked after, 2 weeks ago I lost power while on a cycle, the display gave me error code 010 flashing, after a bit of research I figured the controller might have given up, I ordered one n it arrived this morning, I replaced it carefully making sure all connections were solid, I switched her on & I'm still displaying "E 010" 🙈, I cleaned all the battery contacts and double checked all connections including the power lead down near the motor, still no dice, anybody have experience or experienced this issue before? And if so how would I go about resolving it? It's my daily transport n I'm kinda goosed without it, any help or information would be greatly appreciated 🙏🙏
Disconnect the headlight and headlight switch then disconnect the battery and reinstall it and see if code dissapears I had the same issue and it was the headlight/swith causing the fault when I disconnected them it went away after resetting the battery

There’s no software reset you have to manually enter the settings as each bike is different!

The light switch is on the handlebar next to the horn switch on the RHS!
A few of these settings are different to my m5, and mine only goes up to 17, not 20
