You are the Lectric XP man! I just got mine yesterday, took it out today here in Michigan in 40 degree weather, put 2 miles on it, and I agree, this bike is a lot of fun! It will be even more fun when summer is here! Keep the great videos coming! Thanks again
If you were holding the throttle while pedaling past 20MPH, then the motor wasn't giving you its all. With PAS set to 5 you should, theoretically, be able to just put enough force into the pedals to keep them moving past the sensor and the motor will keep pushing to 28MPH.
Looking forward to your rear sprocket change video. I want to do the same to mine. You start to run out of pedal at about 24 or 25 MPH. Keep the great videos coming!!!
I added another battery with front wheelhub and can go 0-40 in a few seconds, it starts shaking a lot so I'm working on the suspension and hydrolic brakes
out of all the bikes I've reviewed on TH-cam this one is the best bang for the buck by far. There are several bikes that are better and faster than this bike however, they cost 2-5 times more than this bike.

I have had my Lectric up to 35mph on level ground and up to 44mph on a downhill. So, how bout that? This came about by fiddling with the parameters. I'm not sure what change opened up this secret high speed capability but, its fun. I can keep up with traffic when on the 45mph road near my home, when its busy, because I can pass everybody at the lights ;-) The battery life at this speed is, well, not too great, maybe 8-10 miles. I have to pedal to keep the motor going, but I'm just spinning the pedals slowly, not pushing anything. It feels silly but it keeps the bike going ridiculously fast.

Quick question, my husband and I are ready to purchase 2 ebikes and for the price we're seriously considering the lectric ebikes! Would you still recommend this bike for the money? We RV full time and want them for tooling around the RV parks and into town etc.??
Quick response...lol. Absolutely yes I would. For the money you will not find a bike with a 500w motor, Lg battery, rack, fenders and fat tires for less than around 1,200-1,500 in my opinion because I looked! I love my bike and I’m always looking for opportunities to ride it and I can’t wait for the weather to get nicer. I showed a friend of mine the bike over the weekend and he bought one 20 min later lol. You will love them! Replacement batteries are well priced too compared to some other bikes like juiced bikes. Feel free to ask any other questions!
May someone tell me the names of the folding ebikes that has 26" wheels that way I can put it on the metro bus and that I can easily get 2 or 3 batteries and a extra charger and can reach 28mph with a speedometer ?
When I bought mine it was way back when they were preorder and it took about 2 months. It’s probably different now but just contact the guys at Lectric I’m sure they can give you a good estimate.
Just did mine and kinda aweed a lil skeptical cuz i havent went blpassed a speedometer ill be doin that tonight it says its goin 33 so im excited and it was stuck at 20 mph until i watched another video that explained e ery single P0 setting
This is strange. I just bought an XP 1.0 today. I weigh a bit over 300lbs and with factory settings I get a bit over 20mph just throttle. With the class 3 setting I can get almost 24mph with just the throttle. Mine came with a slight upgrade with the water proof screen and the 2.0 controls. I'm wondering if mine also has a bit stronger motor?
@@JeremiahMcintosh I test rode a 1.0 and a 2.0 and the one I bought which is a 1.0 seems more like a 2.0 but it doesn’t have the front shock. It does have everything else the 2.0 comes with tho. @@clarksville73 just fine. I’ve made a few upgrades tho. Nothing big. I did put on an 11-28 freewheel so no more fantom pedaling. I’m on the Lectric FB group and there are people who have 2-3 thousand miles on their so far with zero issues.
I just bought goggles cause my eyes would tear like crazy with the cold winds. Everyone in traffic and when I get to work probably wondering why in the earth this guy is riding this cool bicycle and crying.

well, the speed did not really changed other then you pedal more :) .. making those changes does not effect on speed. I tested my self other bike and all I saw just number on display but GPS speedometer still show the same speed
If you use throttle it maxes you out at 20mph. Just pedaling no throttle you can go faster than 20mph. You don’t have to pedal hard as long as the pedals are turning.
You have any ideas when you put on on page 8 and you press the button plus-or-minus mine from 32 it's just jump straight to 100 it doesn't even count it any ideas to give me
I have a lectric xp 2.0, and tried to unlock too speed, but the number just keeps going from 32 and jumps to 100 no in between numbers, any idea on how to get pass this or whats wrong?
Did you raise the saddle enough to have the proper knee extension on the down stroke? I did it with mine and it kind of makes it hard to get on and off the bike.
Yes I have my saddle up pretty high that I can barely touch the ground when sitting on the seat with my tippy toes. It does make it a little difficult when starting out but definitely makes it easier while paddling.
Yes it’s the same. Throttle is limited to 20mph (the legal limit) . You have to release throttle and pedal to get to 28 after changing the p08 settting.
In my opinion it’s not bad on hills but I always help pedal up them and I’ve been averaging around 18-20 miles per charge in a hilly area like this hill test video I made here. th-cam.com/video/7EmfhhDKEQg/w-d-xo.html Or check out my playlist on the bike here maybe it will help answer some of your questions. th-cam.com/play/PL_IKMv6nDehbb-eKdHAUeucu9gCJ8XsXq.html

I'm definitely changing the bars when mine comes - it looks ridiculous and unstable at high speed.
So I’ma get this but get some street tires and run a high psi
Won’t change the speed at all
@@OleSevers im looking for range not speed
Great video. 👍🏼
Thank you!
Hey Jeremiah what if you unplugged the white wire from the controller? Do you think it would let the bike go faster than 28 mph
I doubt it.
Hey Jeremiah, from order till you received it do
you remember hot long it took?
When I bought mine it was way back when they were preorder and it took about 2 months. It’s probably different now but just contact the guys at Lectric I’m sure they can give you a good estimate.
Great video, thank you
So you can ride this bike with no peddling at all if you want? Or do you have to peddle at all times to use the motor assist
Correct... you can go up to 20 mph with using just the throttle and you do not have to pedal.
Just did mine and kinda aweed a lil skeptical cuz i havent went blpassed a speedometer ill be doin that tonight it says its goin 33 so im excited and it was stuck at 20 mph until i watched another video that explained e ery single P0 setting
I got 500 by mistake it was supposed be 1000 can I take of does it all fit
This is strange. I just bought an XP 1.0 today. I weigh a bit over 300lbs and with factory settings I get a bit over 20mph just throttle. With the class 3 setting I can get almost 24mph with just the throttle. Mine came with a slight upgrade with the water proof screen and the 2.0 controls. I'm wondering if mine also has a bit stronger motor?
🤔 hmmm I doubt the motor is different but maybe it is programmed slightly different?
@@JeremiahMcintosh I test rode a 1.0 and a 2.0 and the one I bought which is a 1.0 seems more like a 2.0 but it doesn’t have the front shock. It does have everything else the 2.0 comes with tho. It very well could be software. I’m just very surprised with the speed. I’m loving it and can’t wait to put some miles on it and see how it goes.
Awesome! Happy riding!
@@becomeaudible1 How has the bike held up? I just received mine and am wondering how long its going last.
@@clarksville73 just fine. I’ve made a few upgrades tho. Nothing big. I did put on an 11-28 freewheel so no more fantom pedaling. I’m on the Lectric FB group and there are people who have 2-3 thousand miles on their so far with zero issues.
I’m not sure if you mentioned it on other vids, but I really would like to know your weight (lbs) to have a reference for speed/weight factor. Thanks.
165 lbs
@@JeremiahMcintosh Thanks! Thats super helpful.
Thank you so so much for your help!!🚲💪🎥☝️👏👌💫🌏😂
You’re welcome!
thanks for the video it helps a lot. I will test mine today the same way. will wait for ur next video with the changes.
I just bought goggles cause my eyes would tear like crazy with the cold winds. Everyone in traffic and when I get to work probably wondering why in the earth this guy is riding this cool bicycle and crying.
what bike do you like better the G force zm or the lectric XP e bike do to the amount of settings it has that are different from each other
And which bike has more settings on it through their LCDS
Very informative video
Thanks. Have you seen my playlist on the Lectric Xp I have a lot of videos that have a lot of good information! Here is a link to it if you would like to check it out. th-cam.com/play/PL_IKMv6nDehbb-eKdHAUeucu9gCJ8XsXq.html
Just got a 2.0. When I go to page 08 it shows 32, when I hit the up button it goes straight to 100. Doesn’t allow me to go up one number at a time!
Correct that is the way the numerals are to unlock it to a class 3 just put it on 100. Just be aware that most areas are only legal up to class 2.
@@JeremiahMcintosh yes I live in NJ where just about everything is illegal and they’ll soon figure out how to tax the air I breath.
well, the speed did not really changed other then you pedal more :) .. making those changes does not effect on speed. I tested my self other bike and all I saw just number on display but GPS speedometer still show the same speed
My electric bike runs to 25 to 28 miles an hour on paddle, I don’t have throttle on my bike
Pedaling and using throttle at the same time doesn’t make a difference right ?
If you use throttle it maxes you out at 20mph. Just pedaling no throttle you can go faster than 20mph. You don’t have to pedal hard as long as the pedals are turning.
Did anybody tell you that is a 25 mph zone! You just got yourself a speeding ticket...
Luis Braz-Ruivo alright! Kudos to the “outlaw biker”! Lol
You can’t get a speeding ticket on a bike lol
How do u get the battery bar not to go down i use mine and the battery bar goes down
Turn the motor off and pedal. This should keep your battery bars up 😂
Will setting the bike to class 3 help me climb steeper hills?
I'm not concerned about speed.
No it would not. The bike is still limited to 20 amp draw.
@@JeremiahMcintosh Thank you. I enjoy your videos.
You have any ideas when you put on on page 8 and you press the button plus-or-minus mine from 32 it's just jump straight to 100 it doesn't even count it any ideas to give me
Yes they changed it on the newer models. Just set it to 100 to unlock it to a class 3 e-bike.
Thanks
I have a lectric xp 2.0, and tried to unlock too speed, but the number just keeps going from 32 and jumps to 100 no in between numbers, any idea on how to get pass this or whats wrong?
That’s the new way they do it now just put it on 100 and it will be unlocked to a class 3 bike.
Did you raise the saddle enough to have the proper knee extension on the down stroke? I did it with mine and it kind of makes it hard to get on and off the bike.
Yes I have my saddle up pretty high that I can barely touch the ground when sitting on the seat with my tippy toes.
It does make it a little difficult when starting out but definitely makes it easier while paddling.
pedro fernandez , try resting your foot on a curb and use the throttle when starting out.
Are the settings the same for the XP 3.0? Not finding much info on this. I can't get over 18/19 on throttle by changing the p8 setting.
Yes it’s the same. Throttle is limited to 20mph (the legal limit) . You have to release throttle and pedal to get to 28 after changing the p08 settting.
@@JeremiahMcintosh awwwww I didn't realize that you had to release throttle and peddle to get to 28. Thanks!
Is it possible to change the settings on a XP Lite? Thanks
Speed setting? No
Helpful info, thanks.
You are welcome!
I am pretty sure I am getting one when I get my Corona check. It sounds like you enjoy it?
I definitely am!
I need hill climbing power with decent battery coverage. How are these bikes for that ?
In my opinion it’s not bad on hills but I always help pedal up them and I’ve been averaging around 18-20 miles per charge in a hilly area like this hill test video I made here. th-cam.com/video/7EmfhhDKEQg/w-d-xo.html
Or check out my playlist on the bike here maybe it will help answer some of your questions. th-cam.com/play/PL_IKMv6nDehbb-eKdHAUeucu9gCJ8XsXq.html
Jeremiah Mcintosh Thank you I don’t need speed just want a normal bike peddling pace. But lots of very steep hills on the back woods roads. Your other video looked promising actually.
On very steep hills I would use pas1 and 1st gear.
Is there any setting to have the throttle power at max always, independent from the pas setting. That is the way it works on my ebike kit I fitted. Much better for taking off at traffic lights.
Yes you will have full throttle in PAS 1 through 5 just no throttle on PAS 0.
@@JeremiahMcintosh you can get top speed in pas 1 when you use the throttle? I.e. speeds of 25mph+
No throttle is limited to 20mph.
