I think Lectric have messed something up with their amperage calculation. My number 14 reads 18 amps, but it claims to be pulling 20 with the throttle, as you say. I live on top of a mountain and I've burned out 2 controllers already by using the throttle too much... at least, I think that's why they are burning out. I don't know why it isn't obeying the set limit...
p18 is calibration of the speed to actual speed reading. you would have to measure against say moving car and compare what is on your display then do a ratio calculation and find out accurate % for your ebike speed reading.
What PAS would you set to achieve maximum range? My goal is to go at least 40 miles on a single charge (beyond PAS level 1). What do you suggest? Thanks for your help😊. I have the Lectric XP 3.0 Long range.
@@kjts33 I use pas 1 but no matter how I try I can’t get over 35 miles. Normally I get 30 miles. Pas 1 limit current to 2amps so in theory it only consumes 100w. With battery size of 700wh, it theoretically could last 7 hours. Even with 85% efficiency it will last you hours. In reality it can’t last more than 4 hours
I believe P18 can be used to correct for any speedometer inaccuracies. So you probably could leave the tire size correctly at 20" and make any speedometer corrections using P18. I wouldn't think this needs adjustment but someone reported they did, assuming all other settings are correct for this Lectric XP model, then this could be adjusted downward from there. So 95 would then indicate a speed 95% previously shown on display. Probably best to adjust for an accurate readout at a midpoint, commonly used speed, say 10 to 15 MPH.
i would like to know if there is a setting for how the power is brought on. my bike jerks on the power too fast. i believe this is hard on the gears inside the hub because of the sudden torque
Please check P 05 the correct factory default setting is #1 & P 06 should be 22" (tire height) not wheel diameter. This according to Lectric, overall very informational
Jim Prashker they must have changed this. The doc I got from lectric last year was 20 for P06 not 22. I will pin your comment to the top so people can see this. Thanks
@@xiangdongluo9361 The setting for speed is P8 , but setting this to 25 does not limit the pedal assist to 25kmh. My bike has a 1000w motor and I guess that setting P8 to 25 will set the maximum wattage to 250w (25% of 1000w) but I would like to set it in a way that PAS1 DOES NOT assist to 15kmh bit rather 5 or 7kmh and PAS2 would go to 10 and so on . @@dennis9038 I have never tried your 1000w motor so I can only make an educated guess. P14 set current limit. If you lower your current limit then effectively you downgrade your motor to a lower power. This way you can lower your PAS1 speed. I don’t know if this works. Thanks

May I ask a question? My ebike has the same settings screen. The manual I have doesn't address the question I have. In the box to the right of the PAS box, mine says MANUAL. I notice your box in empty. Do you know what this means? Thank you.
You should change the tire size in settings to accommodate the accuracy of your speedometer. Out of the box it's set for the speedometer to read like you're going faster than you really are. You download a GPS speedometer from the app store or the Play store. You watch it while you drive versus your miles per hour on your display. If the speedometer shows too fast versus the GPS you have to make the tire size bigger... Play with it until you get it accurate IT'S ALWAYS INACCURATE UNLESS YOU DO THIS. This is why a lot of people keep saying it goes 28 mph when it really doesn't. It may show 28 but you're really not going 28. Throttle only the bike only goes 24.5 if you unlock to the highest speed. That's all you're going to get out of a 500 watt motor. The only thing I wish it had and it looks like it doesn't. You cannot change the PAS levels for each 0 through 5. In other words if you're getting ghosting when you pedal you should be able to change the power for each of the PAS levels. I could do that on my GeForce bike I cannot do it on this one.
Just received my XP, July 2020 shipment. Wanted to change P05 from 1 to 2. Setting P05 is visible and the 001 flashes but can't change. P05 is not shown in the manual, P05 thru P07 are missing. However I was able to change P11 and P12 to new values. Has Lectric locked P05?
Roger Edrinn that is possible. Lectric keeps charging settings. They locked most P values after I bought my bike last year, Then I heard they unlocked some again
Information that I found, which differs from above but may help you and may be in your case, directly from the Display Manf. info states P05 can only be "0" or "1". This is for the PAS Levels of your bike (& not bicycle gear levels). For the Lectric XP it should be set to 1. So for P05 meanings: 0 = 3 PAS levels model, yields: PAS Level 1: 2V, PAS Level 2: 3V, PAS Level 3: 4V; or 1 = 5 PAS levels model, yields: PAS Level 1:2V(12MPH), PAS Level 2: 2.5V(13.1MPH), PAS Level 3: 3V15.7(MPH), PAS Level 4: 3.5V(16.3MPH), PAS Level 5:4V(19MPH); Hope this helps for your particular display, which apparently is different from Xiangdong Luo's display.
@@xiangdongluo9361 there is some calculation for this if you know the number of magnets in your motor. There is also a way to figure it out. v D 15 is minimum battery voltage. Mine can be changed and is defaulted to 41.5v. If new one is at 40 it means it will extend range. I never reached that low when riding my bike
mario123jon1 probably. If you want longer range a better option is to upgrade amp hour from 10.4A to 14A. 60V will give you a higher power that could fry motor
Can someone explain what I am doing wrong. My XP cruises on throttle at about 21-23 MPH. However, on PAS 3-5 it tops out at about 21 MPH no matter how much effort I give. I have done the unlocking in P08 to 45 but nothing, still stays as if its in class 2. I can't figure it out.
Hi can i know how to over 30 plus km per hour with this bike? I only can go 15 plus km with full strength pedaling which is very slow.. do you happen to know where’s the controller for this model s6000 thank you
Terencetoh Jian hui unfortunately I am not an electrician and don’t know where the controller is. I can only adjust settings to make it more accurate and make sure it can send max power to the motor. If you follow my settings and still can’t get to 30km then something is wrong with your bike and you may need to contact manufacturer for faulty parts
Check the motor quick plug; try to jiggle together tightly. Or perhaps it got moisture into that plug connection. Try to disconnect and let dry out for an hour or so and then reconnect carefully, but firmly. Also be sure you have a good charge on the battery. If not that; it could be a problem with the motor. If so, I advise to contact dealer.

Newer versions of the Lectric, especially v2.0 will lock you out on some of these settings. You can see it but cannot change it. They probably don't want people to mess things up and sending them emails all the time. There is probably a way to override the lock but I have a Lectric 2.0 and I cannot change quite a few of these settings

Good video. How fast does your bike go in PAS 1? Both of my bikes go 12 - 14 mph in PAS 1 which is too fast for my wife. I have heard from other owners that their bike will go about 8 to 9 mph in PAS 1 which would be good.
Brian Walter speed also depends on your gear setting. I use gear speed level 3 and get about 11-12 miles. If you choose a higher gear level then speed would be faster but also requires more paddling

So 95 would then indicate a speed 95% previously shown on display. Probably best to adjust for an accurate readout at a midpoint, commonly used speed, say 10 to 15 MPH.
Excellent explanatory video.
great information. thanks. Although I don't have the same bike I have the same controller and display screen
i would like to know if there is a setting for how the power is brought on. my bike jerks on the power too fast. i believe this is hard on the gears inside the hub because of the sudden torque

Now my pedal assist 2 makes the bike go up to 20+kmh . Thats a problem but would be nice to ride it legally. Can you explain how i controll the pedal assist limit to 25 kmh?
@@dennis9038 I have never tried your 1000w motor so I can only make an educated guess. P14 set current limit. If you lower your current limit then effectively you downgrade your motor to a lower power. This way you can lower your PAS1 speed. I don’t know if this works. Thanks
Figured out what p19 does now. If 0 then pas can go down to 0. If 1 then pas can only go down to 1 and won’t go to zero when pressing down button

You have the XP 2.0 or original? I have the 2.0 and when I sent to unlock it I was told to go to P8 and turn it up to 45. Mine does not have this an option, I can only go to 100. I assumed this was an adjustment they made but I am not getting to 28mph unless I'm going downhill and peddling hard. Bike is new, trying on a full battery. Anyone else have this issue?

If you hold + and - buttons the same time , lcd panel will start flashing. You can press mode button to go to different settings. Use +/- to change value and hold both buttons again to complete.
I watched your other video and found the answer! Thanks for making the videos. They really helped me!
How do you turn on the headlight with this display
Hold + button for a few seconds
Are these settings for the 2.0, or 1.0 bike?
It is for 1.0 but also works for 2.0

Hi, I ask you for advice, I changed the parameters from the display, let it automatically return to the HOME screen, then I turned off the display and removed the key from the battery. If I turn it back on after a few minutes it keeps the saved parameters for me, on the other hand, if I let more time pass, the default parameters return to me. Am I wrong something? Do you think the display or the control unit is faulty? The km / mile, on the other hand, always keeps me saved. Thanks

May I ask a question? My ebike has the same settings screen. The manual I have doesn't address the question I have. In the box to the right of the PAS box, mine says MANUAL. I notice your box in empty. Do you know what this means? Thank you.
I am not sure. It is possible your bike has an upgraded version.
Come impostare limit corrente sul display m8?
Do you know who manufactures the computer this bike uses?
Allen Huffman it doesn’t say but I am sure they are from China
You should change the tire size in settings to accommodate the accuracy of your speedometer.
Out of the box it's set for the speedometer to read like you're going faster than you really are.
You download a GPS speedometer from the app store or the Play store. You watch it while you drive versus your miles per hour on your display.
If the speedometer shows too fast versus the GPS you have to make the tire size bigger... Play with it until you get it accurate
IT'S ALWAYS INACCURATE UNLESS YOU DO THIS.
So for P05 meanings:
0 = 3 PAS levels model, yields:
PAS Level 1: 2V,
PAS Level 2: 3V,
PAS Level 3: 4V;
or
1 = 5 PAS levels model, yields:
PAS Level 1:2V(12MPH),
PAS Level 2: 2.5V(13.1MPH),
PAS Level 3: 3V15.7(MPH),
PAS Level 4: 3.5V(16.3MPH),
PAS Level 5:4V(19MPH);
Hope this helps for your particular display, which apparently is different from Xiangdong Luo's display.
I have a bk29 hitway ebike how you get your pas to 7 an sow on I can only go up to 3 pas?

Hey dear; please how to restart it, this is my only means of transportation right now

I wish I could add a like per page of explanation.

I have this same problem with my NEW Xp LITE , i attempt to change the speed setting to 45 but it simply blinks and doesn’t move. While all others that I’ve seen have been able to change it
Just got my XP and many of those program edits are factory locked. For example mine is locked at 22 for rims also 0-2 gears and I can't change them to correct them.
Have you figured this out? I have the same issue with PAS1 being too fast.
