- Hi everyone, I'm so so excited about this, I know a lot of you have been waiting for this little series so here is the first part. a basic overview of my new sewing shed / studio! I cannot wait until it's done, what do you think?

Hi Ryan, No not all your followers are from the USA I am from Australia and we call that space a studio as well .. my suggestion would be place your cutting table so you can get around both sides as well I think you will perhaps need some racks to store some fabric.. you are such a lovely young man 🤩

Looks good, you don't have to justify who paid for it.
I have a little sewing 'shack' on a much smaller scale than yours but have managed to get loads in there with clever storage.
Don't forget somewhere for fabric.

The sewing studio is going to be wonderful. It will be such a creative hive for you, also a relief from trying to be creative in a cramped space. Plus it will give you back your bedroom. Re furniture placement, I think once you are in the space you'll figure out the flow of the room and what works best. So try not to get too bogged down with furniture placement from the get-go cos it will change and I'm sure you'll be rearranging it over time. It's going to be such a happy place to be a designer & creator.

The design studio is going to be so inspirational for your creativity...you didn’t mention the lighting in your new sewing space...skylights/rooflights or recessed ?
