Would this work well enough to be worth it on my mazda 3 2.0L? Since it has a high compression ratio, it can't handle much more than 5psi boost, so I want something small like this, but too small for a 2.0 maybe? I've never seen an AMR500 on an engine bigger than yours
High compression and boost don't mix change the compression ratio and you could boost the balls off it but not with high compression that's a great way to send Rodney to the moon
It would restrict airflow and result in power loss. For the skyactiv 2.0, a way better option would be to go with an exhaust, air filter and a chip tune. Chiptune alone should push both the 125hp and 145hp version to about 165 ish.

From my research, which is limited, these really only work on engines up to 2.0l. I saw some guys with 4 cylinder engines that it actually restricted air flow at full throttle and made the car slower.
@@justaguynamedmax8207 2 liter is a very generous claim from the manufacturer. I'd say with any engine over 1.0-1.2 I would look for something else. A more fitting car to install this would be a Maruti or a Vivio.

You are limited to the size of this super charger. It's only capable of pushing so much air before it restricts the air flow of the motor. 2.8l you would need a bigger capacity supercharge

There's no way to get around the fact that a bigger engine needs more air. More air means a bigger supercharger. I was pushing the limits of the 500cc super charger with this car..
All you had to do was start with a six cylinder BMW and it would be way faster then this POS. You’re starting with the worst slowest BMW they are the biggest dogs I’m sure it’s automatic to and then you put a bullshit super charger that probably took power away from the already 100 horsepower engine
lmfao. im well aware. the reason i did this project was i paid next to nothing for this heap of a bmw. it was clean low miles.. but 4 banger and slow as fck..it couldnt even spin its back tires.. my goal.. was to make the car able to do this. after the SC it could. goal achieved. it was without a doubt quicker. but by no means what would be considered a fast car. feel free to modify the cars you own any way you see fit bud. this was a backyard project that cost very little and was just for fun. but surely you know how to have fun right? :D

Heat is the issue with such a small blower. High comp means less tolerance also. Better off centrifugal

Yes I’ve seen it go up to 14.8 psi with a smaller pulley

Not a good idea. They dont make much power and consume a lot of your engine power ....especifically when your supercharger is small in size .
