No grease needed on the brake pad pins? I did the brakes & rotors myself. My friend is a mechanic and told me I should add grease to the pins to avoid metal to metal contact on the brake pads. This video was so helpful!
Hey, I've got a 2012 FX50S and had a hard time finding a video that did more than just pads on these sport brakes. Your video is really well done, the perfect length and your text notes are super helpful. First time i've seen a caliper with "hard" lines like this, I was so confused. Thanks for taking the time and posting! What torque spec did you use on all those 12mm bolts/nut?
Thanks for this. Ready to do mine on my 2010 G37S (typical 66K mile first time for fronts - backs can usually last a bit longer) I also do a complete brake fluid flush, As for the Grease applications - as some have asked, a tiny bit is all you need with caution to not get it on the pads. There are many who say no need for it and as many that say apply it.
I put a lot of brake grease on the back of the brake pads when I rebuilt my calipers after getting mine. Haven't had any squeakiness at all until now when the pads need changed.

Hey random question but I switched my gauge cluster and all of a sudden my breaks are applying abs on their own only when I first start the car and take off and when I turn. the break light has been coming on more and more progressively long before the swap. i'm hoping it has nothing to do with the cluster or electronics and it's mechanical in the breaks. could it be they are fkd in some way?? side note I also lost my horn and button controls on my steering wheel. so rly messed me up doing that cluster swap. swapped back to original all same issues. anyone can help?? also note I do donuts in the car all the time and could of weirdly worn out the breaks. but then why the hell are they applying themselves on their own. gona open them up soon to look. hope I find something..
Best vid I’ve seen for Sport brakes. My bro and I are going to change my brakes on my Q50(Sport) for the first time.
Thank you! And good luck with you brakes!

Thank you for watching! You can apply some grease on brake pads holes not on the pins.
At the beginning the video the cross spring is different than how you installed it at the end, which is correct?
Wow! I didn't even notice that! Correct way is how I installed the cross spring at the end.
I’m thoroughly impressed!

What size rotors do you need for front and back with akebono brakes?
Front 355mm
Rear 350mm
I have a 2008 G37S what size rotors would fit ??
You need to measure you brake rotors or call and ask dealer for part number.
Hi what size are the rotors ? I'm curious as I need to buy rotors and not sure
Hi, you need to check the parts for your car year and model as parts can be different.
Whats the part number on the brake pads? Every time I go to an auto parts store and ask for brake pads they always give me something smaller...

Right? They always give me the wrong one
How about 2011 g37 coupe?
Very nice thanks
do i bleed the brakes before or after ?
You can bleed brakes after replacing pads and rotors, but this is not necessary if you don't have any problems with your brake system.
Does this video apply to IPL brake pads also?
Not really.
same process for the rear ?
If you have the same style brakes at the back, then yes.
Thank you 🙏🏽
Thank you for Watching!
Is it 98 ft torque for rear to??
It's should be less
17寸轮毂可以安装英菲尼迪的4活塞卡钳吗?
I don't think so

Bleeding brakes must be done if there was any leakage or replacement of any brake components, when the integrity of the brake system was compromised and fluid leaked out, while air entered the system.

You need to scan your car. Maybe you have broken wire somewhere. I don't think cluster is the issue.

Was your shifter shaking as a result of bad brake pads and rotors?
Steering wheel was shaking when I was braking but not a shifter. You may have transmission problem or worn out clutch if you have manual transmission.
You dont have to bleed the brakes ??
Not necessarily but you can if you want.
Lets say theyve never changed the rotors in a 10 yr old infiniti would you recommend bleeding them at that point ?
