- In this video we're listening to more from Queen. It's December, and winter is upon us, so we're curious about what Freddie and the boys feel about the season. We do remember hearing that Freddie loved the Christmas season, so we're sure this will be so nice. And it's from Queen's 1995 album, being the last project that they did with Freddie. This will hold great memories, for sure. Enjoy!

This is so beautiful, written by Freddie about his view from The Duck House which was a little place he rented that was right on Lake Geneva in Montreaux, Switzerland. Freddie knew the end was near when he wrote this but instead of feeling sad about things he marveled at the beauty that surrounded him and all the blessings that he had been granted in his life. Whenever I hear this song, it makes me think about how much we each have to be grateful for and makes me reflect on the beauty that surrounds us if we just take time to look past all the spin and noise. Brian's guitar work on this song was added after Freddie had passed and you can hear his heart crying yet also his awe of how Freddie handled his last months of life. I would hope that I would be so brave and not waste what time I had left feeling sad about the change that was coming. After Freddie passed Brian would not let anyone else touch what Freddie had left behind on this song and Mother Love because he said that he knew exactly what Freddie wanted for them both and he was going to make that happen. This album came out after Freddie had already passed, hence the title Made In Heaven. These were all things he sang but there was no time to add the other instruments. Freddie begged for things to sing, saying he wanted to sing until he no longer could. He said he would sing them and they could do what they wanted with them later. Thank you for your reactions.
Thank you, Sherrie.
Magnificent song written by Freddie💛 In my top 5 Queen songs and every Queenie knows how difficult it is to have 5 top songs.
This song went out 4 years after freddie's passing, in the final 1995 studio album, 15th in number, made in heaven. after finishing Innuendo album, freddie asked for the lads to give him as much music as they could. he knew he would record for them and they would have to work on it after he was already dead and gone. fred did 3 recordings and that's that. what what roger brian and john had to work with.
Freddie wrote this song in his cabbin at montreux, I hope I am spelling it write, and this was recorded maybe 7 months before his death. he was very very ill by this point. barely leaving his home. this is the final peace written by freddie and I think also his last backing vocals.
Freddie what a star and what a showman passed away to soon
Greetings from France. 🇨🇵
The writings of the lyrics in the video are Freddie’s.
I think Heaven for Everyone might have been the first single released from this album….. Made in Heaven.
Beautiful
I wouild like to hear next A Kind Of Magic
We know that one quite well.
Last song Freddie Mercury wrote
MMM ! Think Ill remain Stoom on this one !!
You really listened and informed and this is a fun commentary vid. you should improve the camera recording you guys. nothing too hard to do.
This is off the album, 'Made in Heaven". David Essex did a song with the same title which was quite good.
As i am a nice person, i'll give u this poem.. just for u: "Dark night in december, reminds me of november, but snow falls on the hills, on the street and watermills. And time pass by, and a children cry; u'll find out, what it is about: Christmas is a gift, short before the year will shift. So open ur heart and give it away, cause u'll get it back, so it will still stay. Enjoy the time, and hear the rhyme, and maby the new year will ask: Will i ever last? No u won't, but as new beginnig... i mght be u who is winning."
David Essex also had a song called Winters tale.
Yes he did , and its loads better than this effort ! David Essex at his best in the the epic "War of the Worlds "
album !!! Yayy ! It is blowing like rather a lot here atm ! Cacking our pants to be honest !
How are things at yours ??
@ghichens3418 when I was young, I'd have had him in my bed any time. Wow he was so hot. How about David Essex with, Rock on?
I'd love to include the War of the world songs but I think that the whole album would have to be featured for the context.
@@ghichens3418 Last night, the storm ripped the roof of one of our outbuildings. Let's see if the insurance company tries to back out of paying.
hi guys great reaction to a good song check out "thank God its Christmas" .
This was the last song Freddie ever wrote months before he died..
For a Queen song, I'd suggest, Headlong.
Freddie wrote this when he was in the hospital at one point. Looking out the window…I think they were in Montreal at the time, recording there. These songs came out after his death. They have a Christmas song too, THANK GOD ITS CHRISTMAS. I love their later songs many don’t seem to know much if here in the U.S. Queen stopped touring hereafter the MTV banson two of their videos. They lost a lot of following from here then. But everywhere else, they were massive. I think this song and the Christmas song were released as singles and it on albums then.
Last year we checked out 'Thank God It's Christmas'. We love Queen. Why would anyone give up on this band?
Not a bad song from Queen.
One of my favorite fun songs from Queen is Bicycle Race. If you wanted to react to that one.
We love that song! And the video is quite cheeky too. 😀😀
La ultima canciòn escrita por Freddie.
Oh I am sorry the focus problem was mine. I see better now. lol. sorry for that. here is another comment free by me ))
Freddie can't help but sound good. But for the song, hmmm. Its not bad, and very positive, but it lack the excitement of early Queen.
Never heard this before, nice song. Freddie had an amazing voice, I reckon their only song I didn't like was Radio Ga Ga which was garbage and went number one everywhere. The brainwashed minions bought it in droves.
Not the best Freddie song.
Have you guys seen, "We will rock you, " at the theatre?
We have not. In fact, we just looked it up.
@hanierfamily It's absolutely amazing, and if you ever get a chance to go and see it, you should go.
Queen doesn’t get played often and to waste an opportunity like this with this cack when they had literally dozens of high grade hits and hidden album gems is a crime imho .. you can literally see in your minds eye all the lit lighters gently swaying in the audience .. oof , it’s phookin biblically terrible .. I’m talking the destruction of Sodom and Gomorah biblically AWFUL !! 🤯
👍🏴
Well put sir Jay ! and proper true !!
@ proper music fan you are Sir G 👌
👍🏴
@@jaymacgee_A_Bawbag_Blethering Ha ! Thanks sir Jay !! I am in agreement on playing of Queen ! mainly from 1974 to about 1980 ! Twas a bit pants after that ! Sodom and Gomorah ! yes nearly as bad !! cheers pard !
@ yup Graham , seven seas of rye to another one bites the dust for me .. 👀
👍🏴
@@jaymacgee_A_Bawbag_Blethering Yes to right ! with both tracks " In the Lap of the Gods "
"Son and Daughter " "Lilly of the Valley " to mention a few !!
Can't fault Freddie's voice but I stopped listening to Queen around aboot Hot Space.
Hot space was shockingly awful. That album nearly wrecked their career and it's never mentioned by anyone nowadays
@@Starburst_Candy Thankfully.
@@Starburst_Candy Musical tastes vary. When a band experiments, it’s hard on the fans. Hot Space has some popular songs. Cool Cat for example 106 million streams on Spotify. Even Body Language gets 12.3 million!🥺
Finally we agree on something!
It's not a great song, and I don't much care for these kinds of posthumous revisits to an artist's leftover material, but there is something very affecting about Freddie's vocals at this late stage in his life,
