Freddie wrote this song for Mary, his long-time girlfriend and confidante. Freddie was devoted to he emotionally, after his passing she is the keeper of his estate.
@@Lisa-qm8qd Do you have a source for this? I can't find any interview in which Freddie says such a thing. The closest I can get is a couple of articles that mention that their former manager John Reid suspected it was written for David Minns, the man Freddie had started seeing behind Mary's back at the time he wrote this in 1975. If Freddie had said this himself, surely this would supercede this second-hand suspicion? Even the official website states it was dedicated to Mary. I really don't think anything otherwise is known for sure.
@Ozzpot if youtube would let me share an image I would. It was interview he did years ago for a paper or magazine. I understand people push this narrative about Mary, I don't understand why unless it's just to take away from the fact he was gay. The movie made it worst.
@Ozzpot I tried to share the link but it keeps disappearing... I can post the quote though.... "I suppose I do write a lot of sad songs, but that doesn't mean I feel that way myself. I really enjoy writing those songs but, again, there isn't necessarily any connexion between the music and my life. Love of My Life, for instance, I simply made up. There's nothing personal about it. Am I making sense? What I mean is, writing those sad songs makes me happy. To me, they're fun, so it all fits in. I just happen to like that kind of music."
"It's like he's a conductor." Reminds me of one of Freddie's famous quotes. He was once asked if he played an instrument. Freddie answered, "The audience, darling."
Yes Stacey , being one of those people there that night , Freddie had everyone at his control . The song was written for the one lady that had his heart Mary Austin ❤
Growing up i had quite often listened to the "King Biscuit Flower Hour" , "The Midnight Special" with Wolfman Jack and yes of course The American Bandstand. Some of the music that i listened to was described to me by friends as somewhat "Eclectic" even back then. "Muddy Waters" , "The Greatful Dead" , "Electric Light Orchestra" "Pink Floyd" , "Yes" , "Emerson Lake and Palmer" , "Queen" to name a few were among my record collection
i agree with this, im 24 and compared to most of the songs from 80s to now. 50s, 60s and 70s songwriting was something else. sure 80s-20s has some amazing songs but thats very rare to have these days
One of the most beautiful and incredibly sad songs ever written. Makes me sob like a baby. He deeply loved Mary but she couldn't give him all he needed. RIP Freddie, you're greatly missed
and Brian still does it - - now he is alone singing it on stage -- but after his solo Freddie appeared as a hologram - and sing the rest of the song - exactly this performance - - and the crowd still joins in. 🥰
The Live in Rio version of this song from 1985 is epic as you have over 250,000 Portuguese speaking Brazilians singing to Freddie in perfect English. Nobody could interact with a crowd better than Freddie, simply the GOAT
This song was written by Freddie for the love of his life, Mary Austin who he stayed close with after they broke up. He considered her his common law wife and left her most of his fortune.
"These are the Days of our Lives" Official video is a must. It has every Queen fan crying as it was the last time he appeared on camera. I first saw it the day after he died. Still brings a tear to my eye even now after 33 years 😢 😪
I will always remember the day he died. I was a teenager going to art class of all things when a classmate told me. Came home and turned on MTV and they ran Queen videos back to back for hours, that was how i spent that day in deep sadness. Today i am still sad but also happy that he and Queen left us so much that we can listen to the end of our days and i will.
That song still hits me. He was determined to get that one done. Stacey - I 2nd the vote for these are the days of our lives. Be observant until the very end of the video. Loved your reaction.
The control Freddie Mercury had over his voice is matched only by Brian May's control of the strings. Both masters. Also, the guitarist Brian May does one hell of a job when he sang this for Freddie's mom in the audience. His voice is great.
This song always brings a tear to my eye. I saw Queen twice in 1984; once at Wembley and once in Bophuthatswana. In Sun City, I felt it was just me and Freddie singing. Perhaps it was?
Saw them a year or so after this at Wembley, as an Aussie kid in London playing cricket for 6 months. He is the greatest frontman ever and that voice is just incredible. There are no computers there and no effects or autotune on that voice. 90% of the singers today can't say that...
i am happy that Every new generation gets to discover and fall in love with queen and freddy all over again and are amazed about just how good they were.
Freddie, Brian, Roger, John. What's not to love about what these four lads gave us? Believe me when I say you're not the only one shedding tears. Beautiful heartfelt reaction as always.
I have been very fortunate to see Queen many times, especially during the mid-1970s. Besides the great show from Freddy, Brian May is an unsung hero of the band. He does not get that much in publicity but definitely recognizable in his contributions as well as John Deacon. Brian May, when he did a guitar solo in concert is so gracious to the audience in which he always thanks the audience while he's doing his solo. Many times, while he's playing and everyone's going crazy, he just bows his head and says thank you so much. As a physicist such as Brian, his contributions are far beyond music. There was an article or story that I heard. I believe where his mentor for astronomy lost the home he was living in and Brian May purchased the home as I understand and the astronomer lived there till his final days. I recommend that you seek music from Brian May in which she does sing. He has one of the best voices in the industry as well.
Beautiful Stacey with another great review. I mean this in the nicest possible way, but I love seeing Stacey getting emotional over Freddie’s performances. It shows what a legend he was and how he could move people. A conductor yes, but he was also “A Musical Prostitute my dear” by his own admission. R.I.P. Freddie. The legend will always live on ❤
This is the best performance ever. I’m 72 and I love him and the band. The fact that this had to be right with his voice and performance. No one but his close friends know he is dying of aids at this point. I’m emotional as usual watching this. I’ve seen this maybe 50 times and when you’re watching it I’m crying watching you. 😭😭Thank you for loving this. Have you seen the movie”Bohemian Rhapsody “. If you haven’t, please watch it and then watch this again. I love your reactions ❤❤
Stacey Brian May is now Dr. Brian May, Ph.D. in Astrophysics. All original members of Queen were students at certain colleges in the UK. They put their studies on hold when Queen became well-known. During a break from touring, Brian went back to school to finish his studies. In order of getting his doctorate, Brian completed his thesis. Freddie was in graphic design, I think. Roger Taylor studied Dentistry. Retired Bassist, John "Deacy" Deacon studied Electronics Engineering. John actually built an amp for Brian May. It is called Deacy Amp. There was a company manufactured versions of Deacy Amps. Freddie, still this day is missed by everyone!
Brian May worked with NASA on the New Horizons spacecraft sent to Pluto. I'm a science teacher and I play music videos before class for my students and tell them about Brian May. Inspiring them that they can be a scientist and a rock star.
I met Brian in passing here in Rochester, NY, many years ago. He flew here to buy a special guitar a local store had. He was standing alone, there. I asked him what he was up to, Brian chuckled and told me he was finishing his doctorate in astrophysics. Just a very nice and smart man. He went up on stage with the guitar, plugged it into an amp, and just ripped up there. Filling the place with incredible guitar playing.
The thing that Freddie Murcery, Meatloaf and Elvis Presley always did, they put in RAW EMOTIONS in any song, that is why they where MASTERS, I bet they are singing together in heaven now !!! It is always a plessure to listen to a beutiful and smart girl/women and you seem to have fun, that makes the videos better
This will ALWAYS be my very favourite concert of all time, I first watched it as a kid when my dad bought me the VHS for my birthday when it first came out, and I played it TO DEATH. I bought it again on DVD when they released it for the anniversary and it was an amazing feeling to get to experience it again after so many years. The highlight for me has to be their performance of Radio Gaga ... watching the crowd clapping along to the chorus will ALWAYS give me goosebumps.
This song is incredibly different from the studio version. Brian adapted it for the live shows. It really came into it's own when Queen toured South America in the early 80's, in the days before playing stadiums was a thing.. The band were worried about the language barrier and filling a stadium. Imagine their surprise when they sold out every stadium and the people knew all the words to every song. They had also taken Love of my life to their hearts. There is footage online from 1981 or 82, in Sao Paulo I believe, of Love of my life, Freddie barely sings a word as the crowd sing it loudly and full of passion. Freddie is clearly moved and surprised. A beautiful song dedicated to Mary Austin. These days Brian sings this and our dear Freddie joins him virtually on the big screen, also worth watching
Interesting what you said about missing Freddie (and Brian). I was 19 when he died and had been a Queen fan for a long time; not fanatical at all, but definitely a fan of their music. However, I remember exactly where I was when my brother told me (showed me the front of a newspaper actually) that he'd died and in the years since I do genuinely feel that I 'miss' him, even though I can't really quantify what I mean by that. Obviously artists die all the time but this unusual, shy, flamboyant, funny yet serious powerhouse of talent somehow left a small hole in a part of my life. It's a curious thing. Now, all these years later, it's magical to see him perform again and new fans emerge.
I didn’t know it at the time, but as things turned out, I was actually at the last live gig they ever did before Freddie passed away, it was at Knebworth in 1986
I feel blessed and honoured to have seen this man and this band live. I saw them at St. James Park in Newcastle in the 80s. However, much earlier, when I was just 15 or so, my family moved abroad and I earned money babysitting for the other English families also abroad in the same place - there were quite a few. One couple, for whom I did the most work, had every record made by queen up to that point (1982/1983) - Yes now you can calculate my age. This was long before the days of internet or mobile phones, no CDs or MP3s and a TV in a language I didn’t really speak. So I turned to their record collection and found Queen, starting with A Day at the Races, and as a hardened AC/DC fan, I fell in love. Freddy wrote the song with Brian together and it is for Mary Austin, or at least that is the common opinion, also stated by Brian May.
There is something magical when you have a master vocalist and a brilliant acoustic guitar sound! As always Freddie has the entire audience eating out the palm of his hand!
THIS ONE IS AT WEMBLEY THE NATIONAL FOOTBALL STADIUM ( THE OLD ONE). THE BEST VERSION FOR CROWD SINGING THIS SONG IS FROM RIO BRAZIL TOUR. AROUND 200,000 AT THAT ONE.
I love this song. The live version are phenomenal but the original studio version from the Night of the Opera album is stunning. I saw Queen live with Adam Lambert about 5 or 6 years ago. For this song, Brian came out onto the stage by himself and he played and sang the song by himself. At the end, Freddie was played on the big screen right next Brian and he smiled and nodded to his old friend. So sad but such a wonderful moment
This is Freddie’s song, all his song, and no one steals it. I live Brian too, but please…RIP Freddie. We all love and miss you and your incredible talent. --Youveh nit been exposed to enough of Queen and Freddie’s solos to know. They were the best four “ingredients” that ever came together, to create they most artistic and creative and breaking boundaries music.
You do need to do the studio version of this song. It may be one of the most beautiful songs ever. The harmonies are just amazing. Freddy made Brian learn to play the harp on this song as well. PBBBBBBBLEEEEEASSSS!!!!!
That ‘I still love you’ part would be the final goodbye in Freddie’s last video ever, for the song These Are The Days Of Our Lives. Beautifully song, and beautiful reaction! Cheers!
I attended many Queen live concerts in my time, they never disappoint, the whole band were amazing musicians and all the members of Queen have written hit songs,Queen have performed around 700 live concerts around the world, and were one of the first bands to conquer South America, there greatest hits album is still today the best selling album ever in their home country United Kingdom, The guitarist in this performance Brian May is playing a 12 string acoustic guitar, Great song great reaction thanks 🙏
Awww so glad you reacted to Love Of My Life, especially from The Live At Wembley 86' !! This song is so sad but sweet at the same time. If you didn't know Freddie wrote this song for his ex wife, Mary Austin and they were always together, having a beautiful friendship and helping each other every day. Oh god so many emotions, excited to see your next Queen reactions❤
When Freddie Mercury first met Mary Austin, he was 24 years old and she was 19. At the time neither could have imagined what the future would hold for them, both as a couple and singularly as friends with a deep love for each other. “All my lovers asked me why they couldn’t replace Mary, but it’s simply impossible,” Mercury once said of Austin. “The only friend I’ve got is Mary, and I don’t want anybody else. To me, she was my common-law wife. To me, it was a marriage.” When Mercury died in 1991 of AIDS-related bronchial pneumonia at age 45, Austin was by his side as she had been for much of his adult life. At one point in their relationship he had asked her to marry him, and when he died he left her half his reported $75 million estate, including the 28-room London mansion in which he passed away and Austin still lives in to this day. Today Austin lives a quiet life away from the spotlight she often experienced as part of Mercury’s inner circle. The pair lived together on and off for the better part of two decades as Mercury’s profile rose and Queen became one the most beloved rock bands of the twentieth century. And due to the success of Bohemian Rhapsody, Austin is reportedly set to inherit more than $50 million as she now owns 75 percent of his estate. Freddie Mercury and Mary Austin met in 1969, a year before he formed what would become Queen with bandmates Brian May, Roger Taylor, and eventually John Deacon. Mercury, whose real name was Farrokh Bulsara, was born in Zanzibar, Tanzania, in 1946 and moved to England with his parents in the 1960s. Austin was born in 1951 into an impoverished family in South London’s Battersea neighborhood. Her father worked as a wallpaper trimmer, and her mother was a domestic for a small company. Both of her parents were deaf. Austin and Mercury first crossed paths while she was working at the fashionable London clothing store Biba, and Mercury, who had just completed art college, was working at a clothing stall in nearby Kensington. Initially hesitant about Mercury's flamboyant personality, Austin soon fell for him, and they became a couple, living together in a cramped flat while he pursued his music career. “He was like no one I had ever met before,” Austin told OK! Magazine in 2000. “He was very confident, and I have never been confident. We grew together. I liked him - and it went on from there.” The couple eventually moved to a bigger flat on Holland Road in London. In 1973, the year Queen released their debut album, Mercury proposed to Austin. “When I was 23 he gave me a big box on Christmas Day. Inside was another box, then another and so it went on. It was like one of his playful games. Eventually, I found a lovely jade ring inside the last small box,” Austin told the Daily Mail in 2013. Confused, Austin asked Mercury on which hand she should place the ring. He replied the left and asked her to marry him. “I was shocked. It just so wasn’t what I was expecting. I just whispered, ‘Yes. I will.’” As Queen's fame grew with albums like "Sheer Heart Attack" (1974) and "A Night at the Opera" (1975), which included the ballad "Love of My Life" reportedly written for Austin, Mercury's public persona also expanded. His striking appearance, charismatic performances, and powerful voice made him a star. However, their personal life was troubled. Six years into their relationship, the topic of marriage had faded, and Austin sensed something was amiss. She confronted Mercury, feeling like a burden to him. “I told him, ‘Something is going on and I just feel like a noose around your neck. I think it’s time for me to go,’” she recalled to OK! Mercury denied any issues, but the relationship cooled as Queen's success soared. Austin suspected Mercury was seeing another woman, but in 1976, he revealed his evolving sexual feelings. “I’ll never forget that moment,” Austin told the Daily Mail. “Being a bit naive, it had taken me a while to realize the truth. Afterward, he felt good about having finally told me he was bisexual. Although I do remember saying to him at the time, ‘No Freddie, I don’t think you are bisexual. I think you are gay.’” This revelation ended their physical relationship, and Austin moved to a nearby flat Mercury's music-publishing company bought for her. Despite this, she remained in his life and part of Queen’s extended circle. “She went on the road with them. There are photographs of them together backstage at concerts into the late seventies by which stage they were no longer a couple,” biographer Blake noted. “He was to all intents and purposes a gay man. It’s a very interesting part of their story, that having lived together as a couple and her believing that at one point they would be married and then having to come to terms with the fact that he was sleeping with guys. And they remained such good friends for so long after that. She stayed as part of the band’s entourage because she was part of his entourage. She was the most important person in that entourage.”
Thanks, Stacy, SO much for reacting to this gorgeous song. Another one that you HAVE to see and react to - "You Take My Breath Away" -- Freddie solo, singing at the piano will have you in tears. I cry every time I listen to it.
I think this was filmed on the Saturday coz I was there on the Friday & it was pouring down!! Not sure who wrote this particular song but there was a time…maybe still stands…that Queen were the only band EVER to have had a number 1 single written by each member of the band!! Kinda ends the question of “Who was the greatest band” in my opinion.
Great song imotional one I have chills when I hear this one and I'm not the only one it's magical his voice is cannot even describe in words just out of this world nobody can replace him too talented in every ting he does, great performer singer and musician like no oher❤❤thanks for the reaction❤
Many artists, even great ones, seemingly have a self consciousness about their voice/instrument, that they try to technically pull everything off amazingly. And they usually do. Freddie is like those few that totally commit to the act. Throw themselves into the deep end and just somehow swan themselves in perfect figure 8s, burning bright, and overshadowing us all with warmth.
I've just watched your beautiful reaction to this video. Freddie had such an amazing connection with every crowd whenever he stepped on a stage, and I know you're seeing that in every performance you see of Queen. Unfortunately, we have something in common, I regret that I never saw Queen live either 😢😢😢. I also miss Freddie, Brian, John and Roger too! There is another version of this song that I guarantee will have you in tears. I'll search it out and post it in your comments here. But it will be a box of tissues video. Also, I think you need to join me at a Queen tribute night. As close as we can all now get to Queen
Freedie did have a talent for interacting with the audience no matter the size of the audience. As I have been watching you grow I feel the same thing about you. I am looking forward to that continuing as your audience grows. As always I am looking forward to your next reaction. 🥰
A song I love to play and sing as well, especially on the piano. At LiveAid Freddie and Brian also performed "Is this the World We Created", You should listen to it (the studio version is also beautiful) as well. I think it's the saddest and most touching song they did. If you like Freddie's voice also go for My Melancholy Blues, which is actually jazz, not blues :D
Hello lovely Stacey, another fantastic reaction to a beautiful song written by Freddie, beautifully sung and as you say brilliantly played by Brian. You definitely need to react to these songs, The Show Must Go On, These Are The Days Of Our Lives, Who Wants To Live Forever and Save Me live from Montreal. You are a breath of fresh air and i love your reactions,i can't wait for your next one❤
Wembley 1986! My wife at the time was unable to make the trip down to London due to her being very pregnant. I was 23, and I remember it like it was yesterday. Life changing!
The rendition people are talking about with both Brian and Freddie (Hologram) is "Queen- Brian May with Freddie Mercury video- Love of My Life - LIVE Birmingham"
A beautiful song and so emotional. Written by Freddie for his dear Mary Austin but from her perspective. If possible it is even more emotional now when Brian performs it for Freddie at the more recent Queen with Adam Lambert shows. Hit me right in the feels when I saw it for the first time. The most touching tribute I’ve ever seen.
🩷🩷🩷🎼🤍🤍🤍 .. all right , now that you know Queen so well Stacey.. I truly think you owe it to us to react to the official studio video of "Somebody To Love" , and I certainly know that you reacted to the live version. I have watched it a few (( dozen )) times. In the official video you will see a very young bunch of men Freddie, Brian, John and Roger perfectly showing their vocal skills and their friendship. I hope you can share this reaction. Thank you.
Hello young lady, thanks for following in up on some of the greatest music of all time, you are amazing, thanks once again from another loyal supporter
LOML was on A Night at the Opera album in 75, the next album A day at the Races (feat. Somebody to Love) had a song called "You take my breath away". The guitar is substituted for a piano but the feel of the song is similar and Freddie's voice is incredible as usual.
Loved your reaction Stacey (again)! As a fellow nerd, geek and dweeb trust me you have many many more great Queen tracks to react to - you really have no idea about the great variety they have in their music!! Please make sure that you have "White Queen" at the Odeon Hammersmith on your list and please add "In The Lap of the Gods" as well!!!! Stay amazing!!!!!
Thank you for reacting to the best live video of this song.👍👍 Everything is perfect in this video. Freddie, Brian, The audience, camera angles, sounds, visual, lights, clothings, mood, weather and all are 💯
Hi Stacey. I think, it's time for the ultimate experience for Your tears and emotions. After all those Queen songs, now you are ready for The Show Must Go On.
Brian still does this live, normally for Freddie, but if you want extra feels, at a gig in Sheffield in 2005 Freddie's mum was there and he (and the crowd) sang it for her.
It wasn't for Mary guys. I just happen to like that kind of music." Freddie Mercury 1976
If anyone has seen a Queen show today with Adam lambert, you’ll see that when Brian does love of my life this is the exact concert that Freddie pops up and sings the rest of the song when Brian stops singing
Freddie wrote this song for Mary, his long-time girlfriend and confidante. Freddie was devoted to he emotionally, after his passing she is the keeper of his estate.
Not true. According to Freddie himself, there was nothing personal about that song, that he made it up.

Pure talent, no gimmicks, no auto-tune. He should still be here.
He was the real deal. Completely genuine, nothing phony.
Yes.. He is so deeply missed 🎵🎤🎼🎹😢♥️🌠
I am now 65 years old and i believe that the best music ever written was in the 60's , 70's and some of the 80's. Such a wonderful time to be alive ❤
You got that right brother!!!!!
I'm 32 and I totally agree, although I'd definitely include some of the 50s too. Rock 'n' Roll!
Growing up i had quite often listened to the "King Biscuit Flower Hour" , "The Midnight Special" with Wolfman Jack and yes of course The American Bandstand. Some of the music that i listened to was described to me by friends as somewhat "Eclectic" even back then.

It's nice to see these young people discovering one of our heroes of our times, it's been over 30 years and we still miss him each day.
Queen " who wants to live forever" personally for me one of the best songs they wrote 😊!
That song gets me every time.
I was in that crowd! I was 17,one of the greatest nights of my life ❤️❤️❤️
Lucky you! If you knew then that you were watching the performance of an immortal legend!
I was there too. I was younger but it’s the best concert I’ve ever been too. I’ve. Even to many after this and none compare
You´re a very very lucky Man!
Come on tottenham
This song was written by Freddie for the love of his life, Mary Austin who he stayed close with after they broke up. He considered her his common law wife and left her most of his fortune.

Loved your reaction.
Good riddance of this horrible singer
Often the more simple it is, the more powerful & memorable it is. Thank you for the reaction.
RIP Freddie
Queen left their imprint on the world and will continue to do so for generations to come
R.I.P FREDDIE WE MISS YOU

"Who wants to live forever” is a must listen...😉
The studio recording of this one is beautiful. Freddie sings all the harmonies and Brian plays harp!
This song always brings a tear to my eye. I saw Queen twice in 1984; once at Wembley and once in Bophuthatswana. In Sun City, I felt it was just me and Freddie singing. Perhaps it was?
Watch this song in Rock in Rio, 1985. The best audience ever. Thanks for reacting to 👏👏👏
This was so wonderful and actually being at Wembley in the crowd seeing the whole concert back then in London has given me lasting memories.
Saw them a year or so after this at Wembley, as an Aussie kid in London playing cricket for 6 months. He is the greatest frontman ever and that voice is just incredible. There are no computers there and no effects or autotune on that voice. 90% of the singers today can't say that...

This is cool to see. Freddie mercury, one of the greatest songwriters of all time, forever missed
I think that somebody once said that "love of my life" was the one song that was guaranteed to make a grown man cry.
Nope
Freddie, Brian, Roger, John. What's not to love about what these four lads gave us? Believe me when I say you're not the only one shedding tears. Beautiful heartfelt reaction as always.
I was there , a show never to forget , Best ever RIP F.B

Stacey
Brian May is now Dr.
Dr sir Brian May, he was knighted several years ago
The thing that Freddie Murcery, Meatloaf and Elvis Presley always did, they put in RAW EMOTIONS in any song, that is why they where MASTERS, I bet they are singing together in heaven now !!!
It is always a plessure to listen to a beutiful and smart girl/women and you seem to have fun, that makes the videos better
the live in Rio version: "Brian Brian Brian ...!" incredible
When talent combines with the heart...with the soul, rare poems like this song are born. Thanks Stacy for dusting it off
This will ALWAYS be my very favourite concert of all time, I first watched it as a kid when my dad bought me the VHS for my birthday when it first came out, and I played it TO DEATH.
I was at this concert which was Wembley 1986 a year after Live Aid. An unbelievable atmosphere that day and a fantastic crowd.
Love to see your emotion, this band is in the top five of all time
You do need to do the studio version of this song. It may be one of the most beautiful songs ever. The harmonies are just amazing. Freddy made Brian learn to play the harp on this song as well. PBBBBBBBLEEEEEASSSS!!!!!
As gifted a frontman as has ever existed in rock. He could own any crowd and was capable of any stylistic challenge.
As gifted as he was, Prince was more gifted as a frontman
It's so heartbreaking, this song... Freddie's last song to Mary...and it's perfromed on Wembley 1985
Yes, you should try Rock in Rio version. Is breath taking. Love your genuine reactions and complexity of comments for every song! ❤
Stacey
Freddie loved his fans dearly. They were a part of him
I was there, 10 years old, sitting on my dads shoulders! I will NEVER attend a concert more electrifying than this.
You lie
@Baldrick_dogsbody lol, jealous much?
@@Mattias_Stromberg
Why should i be jealous. I was there myself. Loser
That ‘I still love you’ part would be the final goodbye in Freddie’s last video ever, for the song These Are The Days Of Our Lives.
Beautifully song, and beautiful reaction! Cheers!
Freddie was a gift from god.
And we truly miss and love you freddie
I attended many Queen live concerts in my time, they never disappoint, the whole band were amazing musicians and all the members of Queen have written hit songs,Queen have performed around 700 live concerts around the world, and were one of the first bands to conquer South America, there greatest hits album is still today the best selling album ever in their home country United Kingdom, The guitarist in this performance Brian May is playing a 12 string acoustic guitar, Great song great reaction thanks 🙏
I had this song played at my late wife’s funeral this is the first time I’ve heard it since thank you for sharing it x
I appreciate the fact that you acknowledge Sir Brian May often in your Queen reactions. He's the Scottie Pippen of rock.
@@queenofmagic06 he actually didn't write it for Mary. He is quoted as saying there was nothing personal about that song and that he made it up.
To me, it was a marriage.”
When Mercury died in 1991 of AIDS-related bronchial pneumonia at age 45, Austin was by his side as she had been for much of his adult life.
I liked him - and it went on from there.”
The couple eventually moved to a bigger flat on Holland Road in London. I will.’”
As Queen's fame grew with albums like "Sheer Heart Attack" (1974) and "A Night at the Opera" (1975), which included the ballad "Love of My Life" reportedly written for Austin, Mercury's public persona also expanded.
I think you are gay.’”
This revelation ended their physical relationship, and Austin moved to a nearby flat Mercury's music-publishing company bought for her.
I was at Wembley that night. Best gig ever. Freddie was once asked what instrument he played and answered "The crowd darling".
Great reaction Stacey. On this tour I saw QUEEN live - just amazing 👌🏼.
He was the greatest when it came to interacting with crowds. Along with being a great writer and over all preformer.
BRILLIANT and insightful reaction Stacey! It's obvious that you love Freddie as much as we did/do.
What ??
I've just watched your beautiful reaction to this video. Freddie had such an amazing connection with every crowd whenever he stepped on a stage, and I know you're seeing that in every performance you see of Queen. Unfortunately, we have something in common, I regret that I never saw Queen live either 😢😢😢. I also miss Freddie, Brian, John and Roger too! There is another version of this song that I guarantee will have you in tears. I'll search it out and post it in your comments here. But it will be a box of tissues video. Also, I think you need to join me at a Queen tribute night. As close as we can all now get to Queen
such a beautiful song!! the Scorpions did a really nice cover on the Acustica DVD and CD
Freddie gets to me too. Even after all these years. He had it all.
Your feeling of missing him is a common feeling with anyone that reacts to Queen. We all do and I wish I could of seen the whole group live
Love you Stacey, your soul glows through your expressions.❤
Still nice to see your emotional feelings to this kind of music Stacey! I think you are a very good human being! ❤
The rendition people are talking about with both Brian and Freddie (Hologram) is "Queen- Brian May with Freddie Mercury video- Love of My Life - LIVE Birmingham"
When this came out I was 14 and living it ,still have a ❤
Waitin for this this song after The Live Aid.... Finally! Thanks Stacey =3
This song was dedicated to his wife, he always said that she was the love of his life, and he promised her that he would never abandon her
A beautiful song and so emotional.
Speaking of missing Freddie - there are more live versions on TH-cam where Brian sings this song as a tribute to Freddie which are very moving!
🩷🩷🩷🎼🤍🤍🤍 .. all right , now that you know Queen so well Stacey.. Thank you.
Next song must be who wants to live forever and show must go on.We are waiting stacey🔥✨
Hello young lady, thanks for following in up on some of the greatest music of all time, you are amazing, thanks once again from another loyal supporter
He was an incredible good Singer and an pure Showman
Thank you for reacting to the best live video of this song.👍👍
Everything is perfect in this video.
Freddie, Brian, The audience, camera angles, sounds, visual, lights, clothings, mood, weather and all are 💯
Was fortunate enough to have sung this with Freddy and an arena full of people twice in the early 80s. What an amazing performer he was.
I just happen to like that kind of music." Freddie Mercury 1976
If anyone has seen a Queen show today with Adam lambert, you’ll see that when Brian does love of my life this is the exact concert that Freddie pops up and sings the rest of the song when Brian stops singing
Oh girl, you need to watch the version of this song from São Paulo in 1981 to see an utterly mind blowing crowd interaction!
Rock in Rio 1985 too.
Bonjour my Stacey 🥰🥰🥰 !!! Thanks for this beautiful song 😍 i'm so like Queen !!! you are awesome as always ❤!!! thank you for everything you do ❤!!!
Hi, as anyone said, which instrument he liked to play most he replied " the audience/fans/crowd ".
Beautiful reaction, thank you! Queen, the greatest band ever! Greetings from Australia 🇦🇺
I got to know QUEEN too late, every time I see their videos they give me a lot of joy and I participate happily, with their countless viewers 🌺
