Gary Moore's version is of course my favorite, however the solo on this video is different to his album version, at least the release I'm familiar with. As much as I like and appreciate Nightwish, they sort of lost the feel of the original, a good rendition, none the less.

You nailed that analysis as Chris took up the guitar late at 21/22 and learned to play hiding in the store room at the family ice cream parlour in Middlesborough, England. Chris has spoken about how before the Road To Hell album he still owed his record company a lot of money (hence the "just paper flying away from you" line). Many great tunes by Chris Rea with many live versions on YT. Two of the best are the two for his daughters Josephine and Julia both wonderful songs (and daughters too no doubt!).

Whilst Madness songs are almost always have upbeat and fun tunes the same isn't always true of the songs subject matter. - Embarrassment and Johnny the Horse are quite poignant despite having fun upbeat tunes. - Land of Hope & Glory was inspired by Lee Thompson's time in Borstal, a young offenders institution. - 'In the Middle of the Night', 'Mummy's boy' and 'Mr Apples' are about people with dodgy secrets. Whilst the songs are funny the subject matter isn't. - 'Drip Fed Fred' is a lighthearted song about East-end gangsters.

You guys were certainly a subject of conversation during the family get together, and a summer song that had sprung to mind during this event was Ol'55 ''Feels Like A Summer's Night''. I suppose you can count this as a suggestion. Ol'55 also have another good song called ''On The Prowl'', which has an entertaining video that should be checked out. Happy New Year, guys. Glad you enjoyed this one. It’s a great song and I figured you would. Maybe the next step on the Cat Empire exploration is one of their funniest and frenetic songs is The Car Song. Has to be with their official video. Harry (the trumpet player) sings this one, and whilst his voice isn’t conventional and is a bit of an acquired taste, you’ve probably heard enough of his vocal contributions to realise that he leans into his vocal character rather than trying to be something he’s not. In The Car Song it especially works due to the subject matter. The immaturity of the lyrical protagonist works with the vocal styling.

My crew and I used to do the Melbourne Shuffle while they played their awesome mix of Ska and Hip Hop. I will keep making mention of Kate Ceberano's ''Bedroom Eyes'' as the one song I would like to see get the reaction treatment. Happy New Year!!! 🍷

A nice Richard Clapton song. Best Years Of Our Lives makes mention of Australia Day (26th). Might be one to consider.

I like Womack and Womack, I highly recommend, "Love Wars" and "Baby I'm Scared of You" by them, that said this is a lacklustre track from them in my opinion.
