    Spot on with this list! I love using the bpm 1/4 for vacation trips- the glow and softness it renders just makes the photos seem so dreamy when looking back on past trrips. I gotta try that flash out ASAP!

      @@Liljoozy with the guy on the scooter? Put the shutter to 1/10 and pan across while shooting, keeping your focus box on the scooter so it stays sharp and everything else is motion blurred. A little bit of trial and error but fun to mess around with!

    100% agree with everything you've mentioned and have a majority of what you got. Truly makes the X100V feel so much better to use! Great video as per usual!
    Only other recommendation I'd add would be an SD Card Reader to Lighting or USB-C (depending on if you are team Apple or Android). The Fuji Photo transfer app is to be frank, dreadful and unreliable to use. Using something like an Apple SD Reader to lighting makes it real quick to dump photos onto your phone and quickly review and edit for any socials.

    • @EddyMaynard
      @EddyMaynard  ปีที่แล้ว

      thanks for watching!
      yes usb reader is a good shout for sure! although fuji have just released a new app for x100v which is much much better (apparently). you need to update to firmware 3.0.0 to use it though on the camera, and ive heard some dodgy reports about it being unstable so ive not actually updated mine & tested the app out yet

    I can't tell you how many photography channels I've seen with hundreds of thousands of views and subs that just completely bore me because they don't show any pictures!!! You have a nice little growing channel here and there's honestly so much more weight to your opinions and the information you give out in these videos because you show your life through the pictures. Also I have mad gas for an X100V now purely because of your Dubai video and seeing what can be done with it, damn you!!!

      No problem! There are better (TTL) flashes but none as cheap as this with the wireless capabilities, so that’s why this gets my vote! But I agree, in a professional setting I do think it would hold you back / increase stress on the shoot

    Great video! With that square hood filter, do you still need the adapter from the beginning of your video as well thanks

    • @EddyMaynard
      @EddyMaynard  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! The square hood has a filter adapter built in, it comes in two parts, an adapter and a hood. You screw the filter into the adapter, and then the hood goes over both of them :)
      The other adapter ive included in the video is more for when you're using flash, since the squarehood blocks the flash a little bit.
      You could get the squarehood and then just unscrew the 'hood' bit when you want to use flash though, If you like. Its just a bit awkward to get straight again, which is why I just have both.
      Links for both are in the description :)

    I've also used the pro mist filters for years and just recently switched to Black Satin 1/2 and Glimmerglass 1. Since, I've never looked back, check them out if you have a chance! Personally, I feel they give me the halation and softness I'm looking for without too much contrast loss which I wasn't a fan of the pro mist, especially when backlit.

    • @EddyMaynard

      I use glimmerglass 1 on my sigma 24-70 for filming weddings and I love the effect! nice and subtle. ive not checked out black satin yet though, will have a look into that, thanks so much!

    • @EddyMaynard
      @EddyMaynard  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hello! Technically no, you can take the front (square hood) bit off and just use the other part as an adapter ring. It has a rubber O ring on though (helps with getting the square hood to line up square with the camera), id worry that this would pop off and get lost, so I just spent the £6 on the extra standalone adapter ring. But you could definitely just use the square hood one, to answer your question :)

    • @EddyMaynard
      @EddyMaynard  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yep sony image quality is much better, but the Fuji is just way more fun to use. The a7iv does all the work for you and personally I find it feels a bit like cheating. Much prefer using the x100, but I will always grab the Sony for paid work since it gives me the freedom to focus on everything else and have much better image quality like you say!

Cause i have another type of flash, which is kinda slim and it makes a shadow if i screw on the wide lens cause its too long that way. Do you know if the lightpix flash solves this problem cause it is a higher flash? Thanks!

    How would you compare the bpm 1/8 to the glimmerglass 1?

    • @EddyMaynard
      @EddyMaynard  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Glimmerglass has more contrast and only really blooms around the lights, whereas BPM blooms around the lights but also reduces contrast of the overall frame. The difference is subtle but personally after using both extensively I prefer the pro mist 1/8. It’s personal taste though!

    • @ksoohw
      @ksoohw 8 หลายเดือนก่อน
