If a student pursues UG(B.com Hons) from DU Sol or IGNOU,will it considered as valid for actuarial internship?
They usually prefer people who major in Mathematics or Physics or Statistics or Engineering as it is very competitive and requires a strong foundation in degree level Mathematics. It is a very hard designation to get. There is no set pass mark like 40% to pass the exams. With each exam, the pass mark will vary because it depends on how well everybody has done and only the top few people pass.

Is there any institute for this course?? I've head about (Institute of acturial science of India, in Navi Mumbai) but didn't get much photos or videos of it. Or we have to study from home and prepare for exams by self like you told SA1....etc.????
You need to take membership with actuarial institute (like IAI) to take actuarial exams. The institute conducts exams, but preparations and all we need to do on our own. You can check IAI website for further info.
This is just like how we have ICAI institute in India for CA students.

Hi, if you are attempting from IAI- then you need to purchase the study material from IAI website. For IFoA, purchase study material from ActEd website.

Ma'am what is the best way do actuary after my 12 or after my graduation? Or along both
You need to have atleast a Bachelor's degree and so it is not something that you can pursue after 12th. Most people complete 2 to 3 exams while they are doing their graduation. It is a very hard qualification and so unless you are very good in calculus, writing proofs etc. do not opt for it. Only 40-50% of people manage to get the designation.

Indian students usually go for IAI or IFoA.
IAI- lower expenses, but exams difficulty level is high
Ifoa- expensive, easier exams, has global recognition.

I am working with a Big 4 currently in the international taxation segment.
Will it be necessary to get a job in the actuarial science segment for getting a better job ahead?
I am reluctant to do this bcz I am paid satisfactorily in the big 4 and I don't think I will get a job with salary at par or even better (when compared to the job I am having currently).

@@abhishekrathore3749 first 10 papers are common for everyone. Coming to SP AND SA stage - you can choose life insurance, general insurance, health, pensions, finance, and now they're also arranging paper/exemptions for banking part.

Broadly, actuarial science is more relevant to commerce with maths students.
But science students can also pursue this, without much difficulty. Yes ofcourse, little more efforts would be required by a science student to understand the macroeconomic and financial concepts.

Hey Commerce with Mathematics is the most relevant to actuarial science. Physics and chemistry are not needed at all.
