- Believe it or not, I was actually waiting for CinemaSins to upload this exact video, just so I can nitpick them. Puss in Boots: The Last Wish is a fantastic movie, and even they acknowledge it, but some of the their criticisms are really weak. So, here I am pointing them all out.
Oh, and apologies for the blurry clips. I know they suck, but those clips make the video unavailable to watch in some countries, so I tried blurring them out so it'll be seen worldwide. Hope you understand.
Disclaimer: I don't have much ill will towards CinemaSins, I just want to point out the many mistakes they've made in their videos.

I would have given him 500 or a thousand sins for ever saying that none of the previous Shrek were good.
I'm not a fan of any of the Shrek movies. But I loved this one.

Puss did not escape death, he accepted his mortality. That was the point of Pusses arc in this movie. Puss wanted to escape Death with the wish, but realised that there's no point as he'll only be prolonging the inevitable, so he decides to actually LIVE his last life.

Deaths mission wasnt ruined, he was actually proud of him and came to respect Puss.
I have a feeling Jeremy is just making dumb jokes instead of actually criticizing the movie.
That’s because he is.
But then he mixes in his actual criticisms, so he can sorta Schrodinger's Cat his way out of any scrutiny.
One sin that would have been legit (that CinemaSins somehow missed) is when one of the Serpent sisters got turned into gold, the other wheeled her out on a wheelbarrow. That gold statue would have weighed SEVERAL TONS, which no human on earth would have been able to lift into a wheelbarrow, let alone carry it out alone.

I also thought of the size/weight ratio of gold, and couldn't help but think that Jack Horner was being nice, giving the other sister wayyyy more than her weight in gold.
I like your new style! Not just copying from CinemaSins, you're using different sound effects and background! Underrated work!
I also sin CinemaSins in my own style. In addition, I use a different sound effect as well, which is a golf hit.
That's actually mostly just because I have a cheaper editing system, but thanks for the compliments!

Underrated video, also the fact that cinema sins didn't take a sin off the panic attack scene. That was well done even for a kids movie!

Another great video, and I’d like to say two things here:
1. Someday I’ll be doing both this movie and the first Puss in Boots movie.
2. I’ve already sinned all four CinemaSins videos for the Shrek movies (and I also really like Shrek the Third, but I respect your opinion).
I think Cinemasins has just become annoying now. He used to be funnier before. He just sins the most mundane of things now.

8:02 regarding this. the movie even directly addresses this by having perrito tell puss off for desecrating a grave. and given that we know that the family wanted puss' help, not to kill him or anything. they would have no reason to desecrate his grave
Missed SinSins:
1:43 Thunder claps are often minutes apart at least, the fireworks are happening one after the other. That would be far more disturbing than a single bang every few minutes. When setting an alarm clock, a single beep most likely won't wake you up, it takes several one after the other beeps.
3:24 Says this when literally showing Puss is out of the giant's path.
5:13 You don't need consent to talk to someone unless they have a restraining order against you.
7:48 Or these Wanted posters could be bounties, not necessarily wanted by the law. They probably are, but that's still a possibility.

10:43 Jeremy Sins something he likes cliche. Also, his pant leg holes are big enough for both legs on each side.
11:19 I'll give you the foam thing, but knives were commonly used to shave prior to razors being invented. And also, Puss is an anthropomorphic cat, a different subspecies to normal cats, hence how he can grow a beard.

12:35 Aside from "running away" not always being literal, maybe he was right at the church doors and then ran from there to this spot and then looked back before walking the rest of the way away.
12:53 Death, Goldilocks, and the bears are the nuanced villains. Jack is just the generic bad guy.

He should just stick to bad movies which are easier to sin. Like you mentioned, he was struggling hard to find any sins in this movie. I think his decljne started when he sinned ' The Martian '. Its a movie with very high consistency in which everything was explained properly, yet he sinned it for the most obviously explainable points.

there are rare instances where multiple variants of the same fairytale character exist in the shrek universe, both with completely different appearances. for example, there are also two rumpelstiltskins
Sinning the death montage is dumb when you also take into account its necessity from a narative standpoint. Not only does it show us how he died in all of his previous lives, something im sure people would've been wondering if it hadnt been shown, but it shows that he spends his lives dying in frivolous and frankly sometimes stupid ways.
Then later in the movie, he comes face to face with all of his previous lives and doesnt connect with them anymore. He sees them all as arrogant jerks, further solidifying his character arc. I cant belive i used to enjoy these videos

Jeremy will just say whatever to get the sin counter higher, regardless of consistency, because bigger numbers are more exciting to the people watching him. He has no integrity and is just minmaxing to put himself on top of the pile. And while some would say to respect the hustle, I say he's two-faced about the purpose of his channel, and implicitly encouraging bad-faith criticism. I've almost certainly seen comments on his vids along the lines of: "now i don't have to see this movie, i have cinemasins" and even if that was a joke, it's still very uncomfortable.

Y'know, in spite of everything, I still like Doug Walker's work, and I really liked his review of this movie, but I still rolled my eyes when he said something similar about Perrito. that while he does still think he works, he was still going to take out his "Olaf cross and Gurgi Holy Water" when he first saw him. 12:58-13:05 I did not understand this sin because I was unfamiliar with Dominic Torreto. I'm guessing your audience is largely Fast and Furious fans. For a sin with obviousness not being dependent on familiarity with a character from F&F (albeit a major one), how about the fact that Jeremy apparently never heard of the Mafia (and likely other organized crime outfits, but especially the Mafia) being referred to as a "family"?
That was supposed to be a joke, and the Fast and Furious movies are pretty popular, so I kind of hoped at least most people would get it.

What was with it being blurry at times?
That was because the video was blocked in some countries for copyright reasons, so I blurred out the clips to fix that. It still has a copyright claim on it, but at least it's public worldwide
