You assume the absolute plebian knows anything about Greek mythology, or understands it, or has logic enough to even think any of the stupid questions he made about the scene matters. They're gods, why would they constantly do whatever the random fuck they want if they can just have parties forever? And since they are having a party, they CLEARLY CAN get drunk, or the PG equivalent of drunk. Jeremy is a fucking mess.

Another thing, when Jeremy said that his parents didn’t look for him, they literally showed proof that they watched over Hercules, and watched him grow up with his adopted parents. They were distraught, as stated by the muses and shown on the screen. They couldn’t do anything about it. There wasn’t a “cure” for mortality, since the “poison” given to Hercules has never been used before. They never had a reason for having a cure before.

  • @DaoFAQ

This was actually my favorite Disney movie so I for once watched the CS video, they DID put their home address on his collar. The “symbol of the gods” is on the other side, meaning the collar is basically saying “this is Hercules, he is a God” and that’s really all that you should need to know, the problem here is that since Herc is a baby there haven’t been any exploits if his to spread to the mortal realm for them to know about him. Unlike Athena he assumedly doesn’t have a fantastical birth story where he popped out fully formed and was born the old fashioned way.

    Fun fact:
Blue fire is the hottest fire but it's the fire when Hades is calm but when he gets angry it turns into orange fire which is less hotter.
Another Fun fact:You can have different colors of fire depending on what chemical you use.
    For example you can have,
    yellow
    green
    yellow green
    violet
    purple
    Carmine
    finally white fire.
Which reminds me alot of the Dragon's fire vortex from Avatar:The last Airbender but this scene was about spirituality not science.

Well, the fact that Hercules is ostracized for being different is what makes it relatable. Sure, most of the kids watching aren't demigods with super strength, but I'm sure they can relate to characters who are outcasts for being "weird.

"Uh yeah, welcome to mythology," I would also like to add, "Welcome to cartoons." This is an animated film that plays with cartoon rules and logic, not only with the comical launching of the centaur to the sky, but also that punching him in the face somehow causes him to LOSE his horseshoes which all happen to fall at the exact same spot on his head.
On top of that, why does a centaur even HAVE horseshoes? Modern nailed horseshoes like that didn't exist until 900 AD. (admittedly the archeological evidence is a little spotty). At this point, horses would be fitted with "hipposandals", basically solid coverings for the hoofs attached with straps.

I am a historian, and as such, we have a saying: “The past is a different country.” This means that you cannot look into the past with your modern sensibilities and notions because they wont fit in to ever historical period and this you will misinterpret information. Saying Ancient Greece is a “faraway land” is totally understandable using this line of thinking. It is a vastly different land from any place on Earth today, including Modern Greece. Thank you.

That was literally in the song lyrics, and Zeus clarifies here that he could not live on Olympus because he was mortal. (I guess it isn't good for their health to be on Olympus too long, considering they had some guests up there)
17:14 Exactly. Jeremy does not understand time-passage montages. He acted as if Tarzan had aged in an instant, he completely missed the obvious implication that Hercules was training for a few years rather than going from clumsy to buff and competent with the snap of a finger, and didn't consider that it takes time for Hercules to find and fight several monsters and become a nouveau riche brand name, and for plays to be made about him.

While any god could kill you if you pissed them off enough, Hades is the only one that can direct you to Elysium (which is the Greek mythology equivalent of heaven and heroes and legends reside there), Asphodel Meadows (where most souls go to and neutral) or Tartarus (which is practically like hell and is where people who are evil and pissed off the gods go). If you piss off Hades enough, he might put you in Tartarus and your afterlife will be torturous.
