Y'know, I really like the fact Kitty was there to overhear Puss saying he regretted Santa Coloma. It like, took the trope of "overhears a conversation and gets the wrong idea and is upset" and turned it on its head for the better
But she did turn it around on him. I believe because she overheard, she lied to make him feel less bad. Namely, the "I didn't show up either". Every reactor except 1 I've seen believed it. But if she didn't show up, how would she know he didn't show up either, and why would she be so mad at him, specifically for that event? I believe she lied, to try and make him get over his regret of hurting her by basically saying 'You didn't really hurt me'.

The wolf/death is the BEST portrayal of death/the grim reaper I’ve ever seen in media honestly. It took me a second rewatch to realize what his character was meant to be. Not a hero or villain, just a grim reaper tired of people who think they’re untouchable or immortal and feeds off the fear of those who he gives a reality check. So real of him
Antonio Banderas suffered a heart attack in 2017 when they were planning the sequel. The experience gave what he called life changing and "the best things that ever happened in his life" by giving him a newfound respect on life. So this sequel seems tailored made for him.
I love this movie for taking brave steps for a DreamWorks movie Portraying panic attacks realistically Having 3 villains: A sympathetic one, a fub irredeemable one, and a unstoppable force of nature Lowering the frame rate for fights And most importantly having British characters WITHOUT James Cordon
Calling Death a villain seems a bit inaccurate. A villain is a character that is evil in both actions and motivations. It is a type of antagonist. But an antagonist is not always a villain. Sometimes, an antagonist is just someone who opposes the protagonist and causes conflict within the main character, and is not necessarily evil. Death is neither good nor bad. It is a force of nature. An absolute inevitability. He hunts Puss because he didn't value any of his lives and lacks humility, but stops the hunt when he realizes that Puss has come to value his last live and gained some humility.
@@Ben_Kimber I can't help but disagree with this take. Do I think Death is as much of a villain as Jack just cause they both want to murder someone? No. But I still think Death qualifies as a villain because even though death is an inevitable force of nature, Death is trying to purposefully cut short someone's life because they annoyed him. Had there been a different motivation, I'd consider not calling him a villain. But because he's acting out of spite (I'm probably using that right, idk I can't think of a better word), I'd have to argue that he's a villain; that's literally the only thing holding me back: the fact that he wants to kill Puss early for not valuing his own lives. An honorable one since he does back off at some point, but a villain nonetheless (though obviously when Puss's 9th life does come to an end Death would not be classified as a villain).
The most hilariously terrifying line in this movie is when Death starts cursing himself after Puss shows how much he values his life. It literally translates to “WHY THE HELL DID I PLAY WITH MY FOOD?!?!?!?!” Death could have killed Puss the second he laid eyes on him. But instead, Death chose to have some fun.
He waited so long to take Puss' life and didn't wanna waste the opportunity to mess around, unfortunately for him that only gave time for Puss to change XD
@@ReddwarfIV No, a little girl got lifted by the monster and shouted, "Wee, I'm flying!" Puss responded, "No, I will save you!" Then a man was lifted and shouted, "Save me too!" and Puss responded, "If it's convenient!"
@Jerome Valeska th-cam.com/video/4Pys5mwmuv0/w-d-xo.html It's the governor. He still has his pants down, and he does shout "save me first". Puss replies "if it's convenient" because he's a hero, he doesn't want the Governor to die but he's also not going out of his way to save him first just because he's a VIP. If it was just a random guy asking to be saved at all, then Puss replying "if it's convenient" would be out of character. He's self-absorbed, yes, but he's still a good person. Contrast that with Jack Horner, who doesn't save one of his Baker's Dozen because he's "busy".

I don’t understand Dreamwork’s obsession with Boss Baby. The movie came out and most people thought it was stupid. But instead of brushing it away like “okay that didn’t work” they keep making stuff and shoving it into peoples faces expecting it to be their cash cow. I wonder if they over paid or over contracted Alec Baldwin and had to keep making stuff to try and make it worth it.
I think someone explained it best this way- "why is Death a wolf of all things, just keep in mind this is also a fairy tale universe first and it starts to come to together- in old tales the wolf is a symbol of death, while also one antagonist that dies at the end of most fairy tales is the wolf." I feel like that is actually way more appropriate for Shrek that in that world IT IS a wolf and not just because the world has talking animals.
@@edgarallenpo8330 Actually the Wolf in a lot of fairy tales doesn’t represent death but an abuser. In red riding hood or in the twelves little goats for exemple.
While in mainstream fairy tales usually this isn't the case, In a lot of folklore and mythology wolves are the bringer of death, From Odin's Wolves to the unnamed antagonists of travel stories and war reports. There's a reason the werewolf is considered the most murderous, And arguably most fearsome, Creature in literature throughout the ages. Sure the crow, ghost and skeleton have heavy association with death too, But they aren't the ones that create death, That role is reserved for the wolf (or humans themselves)
Yea that panic attack scene was fucking phenomenal. It's such a good way to explain what that's like and a great callback to perrito wanting to be a therapy dog. And death is such a fantastic villain he's so cool. All the animation is fantastic as well. DreamWorks is pulling out bangers recently tbh.
Isn't almost every scene with Perrito, and most of the lines out of him, callbacks to him wanting to be a therapy dog? He always lifts people up, helps them see the good in themselves and the good that they have, and is there for them, etc.

@@DeadFishFactoryI had no idea there was even a movie until I started seeing videos like this popping up. Saw the animation style and was even more uninterested. Kept seeing the movie everywhere. Finally decided to watch it. If only because I ran out of stuff to watch, several of the reactors I follow posted reactions and I don’t watch those unless I’ve seen what they are reacting to. Holy shit was this a surprise. After that I immediately went back to watch all the reactions. Especially White Noise because they are animators and often admire animation I never gave a second thought to before, so I knew their reaction had to be great.
Perrito’s path being the “easiest” is probably somewhat thematic to his backstory too, even beyond just his having no wish and being an extremely optimistic person. Pocket Full of Posies - the nursery rhyme is a reference to the black death. Additionally, you have to stop and smell the roses to get through - you can’t breathe when you’re underwater and in a sock. The man-eating flowers are also a pretty good sign, imo, that Perrito knows the world can be horrible and scary. He just chooses to believe in the good things regardless. (EDIT: He probably knows his owners tried to kill him, and is coping by framing it as a funny story and focusing on what positives he can see from the situation). EDIT2: If you think about it, the solution being to just “stop and smell the roses” is also relative to enjoying life. The more you rush in search of things, the more obstacles you run into. If you just take things at your own pace, you’ll come across an easy solution to those obstacles. There’s no need to rush through Life. River of Relaxation - like the one his owners tried to drown him in. EDIT2: Again indicative of how Perrito sees no reason to rush through life. They just drift along the river and experience no issues. There is a clear destination, so it’s not aimless, but it’s also not frantic. Field of Quick and Easy Solutions - Considering how the other two can be read as dark references to his backstory, the quickest and “easiest” (it’s not easy at all but it’s easy to see it as that most of the time) solution to all problems is to die. In other words, suicide. But we never see the field, probably thematically because Perrito is so positive that those kinds of thoughts never occurred to him. EDIT2: It also ties into the idea of appreciating life. We never go into the field of quick and easy solutions because Perrito doesn’t need any. He lives and is happy living, so he doesn’t stress over finding the quickest and easiest solution possible to anything. He’s just vibing, man. Always looking for optimal solutions 100% of the time ruins the vibe.
As a separate thing to add, each character can be seen as having different things that keep them from really living. Puss - Living in fear of death, never being able to really “live” because of that fear. Kitty - Trying to go through life alone, unable to really “live” because of fear of betrayal. Goldi - Stuck in the past and on surface appearances. Unable to really “live” because she’s constantly thinking of how things should be. Jack - Greed and Selfishness. Unable to “live” because he never grows out of his obsession with material advantages, and lack of any connection to anyone else because he just doesn’t care. Of course, the one exception is Perrito, who lives mostly in the moment and actively seeks out connections with others. He doesn’t think too much about his impending death, he has no particular fixation on material things, he has no hang-ups with his past… he’s just happy. …well, Death himself is an exception, but he’s Death lol. He’s always there, and he always wins no matter what.
@@DeeGeeG There was this line in Cinema Therapy where they said "You can't shape the world around you, but you can shape how it affects you" and this is exactly it. They're all reflections of their past, but in the light in which it affected them.
I dont think its that deep. The path to your wish is a representation of your mind. You internally. Puss can’t appreciate his life no matter his material conditions, he will always have something dampening his ability to be appreciative and genuine. This reflects in his path. The dog is able to appreciate life no matter his material conditions, hence the path, his inner mind is smooth sailing
This movie had a three course meal of villains. Goldie the relatable/redeemable, Jack the hilarious greedy psycho, and Death the inevitable force of nature.
@@danielwoods3896 antagonist probably would be the better term to use. He’s not “villainous” in the sense that he is evil, but he does antagonize Puss. Puss is afraid to confront Death until the very end. Even though Death is just doing his job it doesn’t mean he’s not an antagonist.

When they're escaping on the cart, how many people realized that what the wolf was doing was symbolizing the two coins for the ferryman that they would place on the eyes of the dead? I believe it started in Ancient Greece as a way for the dead to pay Charon for passage across the River Styx into the underworld. It's a really cool touch.
I love watching everyone going in thinking they're about to watch another cash grab, and then having all the feels by the end. EDIT: I used to work with trauma survivors, and there have definitely been folks like Perrito who tell what they think is a funny story, but is actually a story of neglect or abuse. Others choose to see their trauma through a funny or positive lens as a survival tactic, so Perrito is surprisingly psychologically accurate. Puss' panic attack is also accurately depicted.
I will never forget this realization. I was telling my friends what I thought was a funny story that would make everyone laugh, only to see horror and concern on their faces. Whoopsie! Definitely the Perrito of the group
@@conquistadorrocketI’m a bit different. I learned what I was going through was abusive very young, but when I tell people I still tell it in a funny way even if the “joke” doesn’t land. Not as cheerfully as Perrito 😂
@LordDomielOfElysium I meant it as it is a movie children would more likely go see. Not a ONLY for kids movie. The puss in boots previous movie and series where directed more for children so I was just impressed that in a movie where they wouldn't usually have put something like anxiety and panic attacks , and could have gone for the more "childish" route they took it up a step to show kids AND adults that anxietyis okay and that someone can help. Not because it's animated lmao 🤣
4:18 ANTAGONIST. He is not the villain. Jack is the villain. Wolf drives the plot and the protagonist's actions (antagonist). Jack is evil (villain), but doesn't drive the story in any meaningful way. Most movies combine the roles of villain and antagonist to help the audience root against them. They don't need to do that in this case, as everyone in the audience can personally relate to the fear of death. Thus, the Big Bad Wolf can be portrayed as a morally neutral character, even a principled one, while still remaining the antagonist. He loses his role as the antagonist when Puss no longer lets his fear of death control him, but Wolf himself is just as scary as ever.
I feel like Death can be an antag OR a villain. Goldie is more of an antag than Death is. But Death was actually acting out of his _own_ desires. Even the plot calls him out for "cheating" by trying to kill Puss before it's his rightful time to die. And he only tries to kill him because he felt insulted. He also took sadistic pleasure in causing Puss trauma and fear, taking his sweet time to mess with him on _purpose_ , until he got mad at himself for taking too long because Puss changed as a person. Death genuinely wanted Puss dead, just because he had his feelings hurt. He's even got a weird vendetta/grudge against cats as a species just because they have get 9 lives. Death is questionable. While he has the moral sense to let Puss live, and he ONLY cared about Puss and no one else, it can't be denied his actions were for selfish reasons. It wasn't Puss' time to die, but Death let himself get bothered by Puss' antics and ended up wanting to kill him off early anyway. Death lacked patience and self control, he "played with his food". He enjoyed Puss' anxiety and struggling with no remorse, and the only reason he let him live was because Puss gave him no more reason to take his life. It wouldn't be satisfying for Death to kill him knowing Puss changed.
Loved your reactions to the movie! I absolutely love that you love Death just like the rest of us. I can definitely agree that DreamWorks makes amazing sequels
21:13 I don't think Welchy understands that it's quite literally impossible to defeat death. That's the whole theme of the movie. You can prolong it, hold it off as long as possible, but it will always win in the end. Death is inevitable for everyone.
I am not sure but I think Death's "angry spanish" moment is "why the hell did I have to play with my food?" I dont get why people are calling him a Villain, he just has a job to do. if I had to ferry people to the afterlife, making sure their final journey isnt a lonely one, and I never got so much as a thank you? I'd be irritated too.
@@danielkiran8174 Well, it's debatable. He didn't go after Puss ahead of time just because he wanted to make him suffer. He literally just got fed up with him because all he did was waste his lives doing stupid, careless things, which Death could not handle watching any longer. And he _did_ want Puss to appreciate his life and understand his mortality all along, which is the reason he spared him in the end. He had no humiliating defeat, Death CHOSE to back down and Puss accepted he'd never defeat him for good, but didn't have to die just yet.
@@danielkiran8174 If you rewatch the film, All the momments death appeared were momments where puss could have died. Overdose on milk/cream, a fight, putting a target on his head by stealing the wish scroll. The reason death was there is because he felt death was catching up to him and not because death wanted to kill him ahead of time.
they could have taken 2 deaths, like the cannon and him falling (2 random deaths), in Brazil they changed the "p" from puss to "b" from boots, I would find it really cool if they were careful with the difference between 9 and 7 lives of the cat
The best detail about Death's "I was there" is that if you rewatch Puss's fight with the giant, during the shot of the crowd doing "the wave" you can actually spot Death standing behind the crowd, in the shadows between buildings.
I understand why Goldie wants a "proper family." Baby Bear constantly rides her arse about being just a human orphan girl, so of course she would feel she doesn't fit in with them, and she has to learn that she's accepted and loved, even by Baby Bear, who at one point even said, "she's *not* my sister." That would be tough to come back from, especially if you already know you aren't related to start with.
I love how this man went from being hesitant about the movie to straight up be down bad for Lobo (Death) lmfao. I died at the "He's the physical incarnation of death. That's so hot." 😭😭😭
I'm so glad that Puss in Boots is getting the attention it deserves. also because it was tiring being the only person around my socials screeching about how awesome the movie is
Goldi’s wish makes a lot of sense when you factor in how many times Baby Bear teased her about being an orphan. It’s obvious she’d feel out of place, not to mention they’re literal bears lmao
I love how you mentioned the anxiety scene. As someone with severe anxiety, I've also been calmed by my dog. The representation in this movie is unparalleled.
Here’s another clever thing I found out about Lobo (death) The melody he whistles lasts up to 9 seconds, and he only whistles this song when he’s getting close to puss, who death tries to take away his 9th life
Not only that, the whistle has 8 notes... The 8 lives he took from Puss. But at the end, when he leaves after fighting him, he breaks the 2nd note into 2 different notes, making it 9...
Remember when the Death Wolf said "everyone thinks they'd be the one to defeat me, but no one's escaped me yet" which really sums up what death is. You can do anything to make your life longer but it will eventually have to end
I'm only 4 minutes in but I love how you (jokingly) gloated about being able to figure out he has nine lives, when Puss literally says, before the death montage, "I am a cat, I have nine lives"
14:08 Does anyone else realized that Welchy has 2 different colored eyes if you pause here? And also, this is a very amazing reaction video! And this movie was also the best after about a decade. You don't see movies like this anymore!
I saw this movie in full for the first time last night and honestly, the panic attacks were done so well. The way Dreamworks were able to portray the heart thumping and the overwhelming fear made me so glad to see that I'm not alone in my panic attacks, and the simplicity of the help Puss received. I know when I have panic attacks the best way someone can help is lean against me and give me a bit of a hug, so I was overjoyed (as sad and scary as the moment was) to see how they portrayed. Congrats Dreamworks again
This reaction was absolutely fantastic, this movie is _so good_ - as a cool detail, if you go back to that scene during the first fight where the crowd moves like a wave, in the top left near the white wall you can actually see Death watching Puss (in this vid, the timestamp is 2:25 right on the second)

What I love about this reaction is it feels very different to every other reaction video I’ve seen and I think the reason for that is because Welchy had relatively low expectations going in yet we see him become genuinely surprised by how good the film is before he ends up fully appreciating it by the end
In hindsight, i honestly know one like perrito. Hes a bundle of joy, he tries to help mental things and he had some really bad history yet came out like that anyway
Great movie. Death was perfect, everyone's performances were top notch. I especially like the fact that after scolding Puss for not valuing his lives, Death lets him live once he sees he values this one. And everyone learned something from Perrito. Truly a movie for all ages. Teaches about friendship and valuing life. Also the fact that an adoptive family is still your family when you love and care for each other. Another thing, the animation is absolutely beautiful and all the little details are just great. I am really very glad I watched it. Once the blu ray comes out, I'm buying it.
So, Welchy isn't a furry, but he was making eyes at buff Puss, and called Lobo hot. The fact that he thinks the living embodiment of Death is hot... I'm gonna have to quote Mittens, from Bolt... "Now I'm concerned on a number of levels."
So fun fact: when the Wolf said he “loves the smell of fear”, he isn’t exaggerating. Wolves are able to LITERALLY smell fear (or something like that. I’m sure someone else more educated can correct me).
Little easter egg: when Puss is thrown through the buildings by the giant at the start, drinks the coffee and runs out, when the crowd is doing the wave you can see Death just watching him from a doorway. So he was actually there every time Puss died.

Been waiting for this one, yeah 🎉! So many things I want to say about this movie but for now: Might be my favourite animated movie of 2022 (of course there’s Guillermo Del Toro’s Pinocchio to consider soooo idk) As a character who initially looked to be the comic relief annoying sidekick, Perrito was lowkey the MVP of the movie I’m curious as to when people realise who the wolf actually is. My mum knew it immediately when he appeared, I only started to figure it out when he put the coins on his eyes in that one scene, and for some reason my dad completely missed it even after the cave scene 😂
Perrito was definitely the best. He was one of the things I worried about most when it came to this movie and boy was I happy to have my concerns shot down
I just assumed he was Death immediately, but I couldn’t tell you why. On the second watch I realized it was meant to be a surprise but for whatever reason I just knew it.
I must say that Puss in Boots 2 did such a great job explaining anxiety. When I saw Puss having a panic attack, I felt sad for him because I know how it feels. Your heart’s racing, you’re running out of breath, you can’t feel your body, and everything is just so painful! But then of course help is on the way. I know it may sound crazy…but there’s also another film that depicts anxiety very well in PAW Patrol: The Movie. Chase had a fair share of his anxiety of Adventure City. So, when they had to go there to stop Mayor Humdinger’s madness, when there was a Humdinger Hyperloop train coaster made and the passengers were trapped on there, Chase tried to save them, but realizing it was way too high, that’s when they depicted a panic attack VERY well! I’m not gonna lie, I love the movie and I felt very bad for Chase when he had that panic attack. Normally you’d think it would be a dog basically cowering in fear, but when you get reality distortion, sounds fading and a heartbeat speeding up frantically, that’s when Chase has that panic attack. It’s also kinda funny when you think about it, a movie based on a Nick Jr show does as better as Puss at panic attacks than something that’s supposed to be for adults but failed (Velma)! There’s also another to name in Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 3. In one of Rocket’s flashbacks, when he frees Lylla, the High Evolutionary blasts her dead with a blaster, Rocket is wailing over this, and Floor begins having a panic attack while yelling “ROCKET, TEEFS, FLOOR, GO NOW!!!” over and over again. That broke my heart. As somebody who sometimes has panic attacks, it’s safe to say Velma lost!
I just saw this movie in theaters like an hour ago and it’s so good! I love how it depicts anxiety and the fear of death. I also really like the message of making the most of your life because you only have one. Also was the fearless hero song stuck in anyone else’s head after watching it? Because it’s going to be in my head for weeks now

I had no idea this happened. That’s actually fascinating the movie really feels tailor made for him when taking that into regard.
I love this movie for taking brave steps for a DreamWorks movie
Portraying panic attacks realistically
Having 3 villains: A sympathetic one, a fub irredeemable one, and a unstoppable force of nature
Lowering the frame rate for fights
And most importantly having British characters WITHOUT James Cordon
Calling Death a villain seems a bit inaccurate. A villain is a character that is evil in both actions and motivations. It is a type of antagonist. But an antagonist is not always a villain. Sometimes, an antagonist is just someone who opposes the protagonist and causes conflict within the main character, and is not necessarily evil. Death is neither good nor bad. It is a force of nature. An absolute inevitability. He hunts Puss because he didn't value any of his lives and lacks humility, but stops the hunt when he realizes that Puss has come to value his last live and gained some humility.
If James Cordon was Jack then he truly would’ve been irredeemable
I lowkey thought Baby was voiced by James Corden for a while 😭😭
@@Ben_Kimber I can't help but disagree with this take.
@@47ratsinahoodie That's fair.
The most hilariously terrifying line in this movie is when Death starts cursing himself after Puss shows how much he values his life. It literally translates to “WHY THE HELL DID I PLAY WITH MY FOOD?!?!?!?!”
Death could have killed Puss the second he laid eyes on him. But instead, Death chose to have some fun.
That's so awesome XD

@Jerome Valeska th-cam.com/video/4Pys5mwmuv0/w-d-xo.html
It's the governor.

I wonder if they over paid or over contracted Alec Baldwin and had to keep making stuff to try and make it worth it.
@@fightingfaerie Hey, quick question: Did you watch Boss Baby?
@@realKhalilGI did, & I couldn't stand it.
I'm conflicted that one of my favourite personifications of death is a DreamWorks Wolf but "I'm death. Straight up." Is so fucking cool
I think someone explained it best this way-
"why is Death a wolf of all things, just keep in mind this is also a fairy tale universe first and it starts to come to together- in old tales the wolf is a symbol of death, while also one antagonist that dies at the end of most fairy tales is the wolf."
I feel like that is actually way more appropriate for Shrek that in that world IT IS a wolf and not just because the world has talking animals.
He's almost one for one with Death from the Darksiders franchise. That can't be a coincidence.
@@edgarallenpo8330 Actually the Wolf in a lot of fairy tales doesn’t represent death but an abuser. In red riding hood or in the twelves little goats for exemple.
@@edgarallenpo8330 it is also pretty fitting for a cat to have death come as a wolf
While in mainstream fairy tales usually this isn't the case,
In a lot of folklore and mythology wolves are the bringer of death,
From Odin's Wolves to the unnamed antagonists of travel stories and war reports.
There's a reason the werewolf is considered the most murderous,
And arguably most fearsome,
Creature in literature throughout the ages.
Sure the crow, ghost and skeleton have heavy association with death too,
But they aren't the ones that create death,
That role is reserved for the wolf (or humans themselves)
Yea that panic attack scene was fucking phenomenal. It's such a good way to explain what that's like and a great callback to perrito wanting to be a therapy dog.
And death is such a fantastic villain he's so cool. All the animation is fantastic as well. DreamWorks is pulling out bangers recently tbh.
He isn't a villain, he isn't evil, he's not a hero either, he's just an antagonist.
Isn't almost every scene with Perrito, and most of the lines out of him, callbacks to him wanting to be a therapy dog? He always lifts people up, helps them see the good in themselves and the good that they have, and is there for them, etc.

@@DeadFishFactory not really, i expected it to be good, i always liked his character
The River also symbolises the River Styx.
It's also representative of the characters heart. He got the easiest path cause he was easily the most pure character in the movie.
Goldie the relatable/redeemable, Jack the hilarious greedy psycho, and Death the inevitable force of nature.

anxiety? no thats call survival, we all do it.
Its powerfull display of him no longer running from his fear, but facing it head on.
I might’ve had a few Perrito moments of telling a horrible story in too light a way.

I meant it as it is a movie children would more likely go see. Not because it's animated lmao 🤣
my man really said "If this wolf doesn't kill me, I'm not dying" XD
4:18 ANTAGONIST. He is not the villain. Jack is the villain. Wolf drives the plot and the protagonist's actions (antagonist). Jack is evil (villain), but doesn't drive the story in any meaningful way. Most movies combine the roles of villain and antagonist to help the audience root against them. They don't need to do that in this case, as everyone in the audience can personally relate to the fear of death. Thus, the Big Bad Wolf can be portrayed as a morally neutral character, even a principled one, while still remaining the antagonist. He loses his role as the antagonist when Puss no longer lets his fear of death control him, but Wolf himself is just as scary as ever.
holy shit shut up theyre all antagonists
This movie was the biggest suprisingly fantastic animated sequel of the decade.

He's a villain, cause he wanted to kill Puss ahead of time. He was enjoying his suffering and fear.

Same in greece
Same over here in Spanish-speaking places

they could have taken 2 deaths, like the cannon and him falling (2 random deaths), in Brazil they changed the "p" from puss to "b" from boots, I would find it really cool if they were careful with the difference between 9 and 7 lives of the cat
The best detail about Death's "I was there" is that if you rewatch Puss's fight with the giant, during the shot of the crowd doing "the wave" you can actually spot Death standing behind the crowd, in the shadows between buildings.
I understand why Goldie wants a "proper family." Baby Bear constantly rides her arse about being just a human orphan girl, so of course she would feel she doesn't fit in with them, and she has to learn that she's accepted and loved, even by Baby Bear, who at one point even said, "she's *not* my sister." Here’s another clever thing I found out about Lobo (death)
The melody he whistles lasts up to 9 seconds, and he only whistles this song when he’s getting close to puss, who death tries to take away his 9th life
🤯
Not only that, the whistle has 8 notes... The 8 lives he took from Puss. But at the end, when he leaves after fighting him, he breaks the 2nd note into 2 different notes, making it 9...

So, Welchy isn't a furry, but he was making eyes at buff Puss, and called Lobo hot. The fact that he thinks the living embodiment of Death is hot... I'm gonna have to quote Mittens, from Bolt... "Now I'm concerned on a number of levels."
"down, down!" welch youre bold ☠️
So fun fact: when the Wolf said he “loves the smell of fear”, he isn’t exaggerating. Wolves are able to LITERALLY smell fear (or something like that. I’m sure someone else more educated can correct me).
18:46 "Death is not fun" - Welchy, 2023
DEATH IS OFFICIALLY THE BEST VILLAIN EVER CREATED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!🤩🤩🤩
Little easter egg: when Puss is thrown through the buildings by the giant at the start, drinks the coffee and runs out, when the crowd is doing the wave you can see Death just watching him from a doorway. So he was actually there every time Puss died.
i love how much you enjoyed this. i had more fun watching you watch it than i did watching it myself
Love that 🤣
I really enjoyed watching how much you loved this movie. It's up there for me, just below How to Train Your Dragon 1 & 2 (not 3). It's SUCH a good movie, I loved everything about it.
Welchy, you NEED to watch Arcane!!! The animation is incredible, and the story, the characters, literally EVERYTHING about it is amazing. PLEASE.
They really did go hard on symbology and psychological tricks for Death in this movie. And most of it goes unnoticed by the audience.
your experience was the same as mine. Had no intentions of watching this movie but word of mouth changed my mind and watched it once it came out on Netflix. It blow me away and it really is that good. Watched it a second time you you notice more things. Humor is great, characters great, The villains! Chef kiss. This movie goes in my top ten maybe top five favorite animations movies.
“I am not a furry” bolder lies have ever been spoken
"Am I seeing an animated movie with thought behind it?" You've never watched "Into the Spiderverse" then. You should, it's one of the best superhero movies and Spiderman movies ever. And the previous movie before that was "The Emoji Movie."
He’s done both for the channel 😊
Been waiting for this one, yeah 🎉! So many things I want to say about this movie but for now:
Might be my favourite animated movie of 2022 (of course there’s Guillermo Del Toro’s Pinocchio to consider soooo idk)
As a character who initially looked to be the comic relief annoying sidekick, Perrito was lowkey the MVP of the movie
I’m curious as to when people realise who the wolf actually is. My mum knew it immediately when he appeared, I only started to figure it out when he put the coins on his eyes in that one scene, and for some reason my dad completely missed it even after the cave scene 😂
Perrito was definitely the best. He was one of the things I worried about most when it came to this movie and boy was I happy to have my concerns shot down
I knew he was death before seeing the movie, but I WISH I hadn't. I wonder how much better the reveal would have been if I hadn't known.
"Why does this wolf go so hard?"
A few words can have a thousand meanings
😂😂😂
I like how he starts off so cynical and ready to hate it but as it goes along he falls totally in love with it.
"there is nothing more beautiful than seeing a fat man explode in a star" what a quote
I love that the Wolf never blinks! That is just so freaking cool!
Oh yeah its Welchy time
Ayyyy
I just saw this movie in theaters like an hour ago and it’s so good! I love how it depicts anxiety and the fear of death. I also really like the message of making the most of your life because you only have one.
Also was the fearless hero song stuck in anyone else’s head after watching it? Because it’s going to be in my head for weeks now
the timing of this upload is crazy, i watched puss in boots yeasterday and searched for a reaction cause it was good.
and my G here uploaded 11min ago
Trully a masterpiece! The Wolf sent the shivers down my spine.
Rec for reaction: Bolt (2008)! It's about a dog who tries to come back home. The Most Underrated Disney movie.

Goldie and the bears are some of my all time favorite side characters. Idk why, i just really love them. Also, goldies hair is styled to resemble bear ears and thats so cute 😭❤
Also Death is INCREDIBLE. everytime I heard that whistle, I got chills. Idk if it was because he reminded me of the "smile dog creepypasta" or if it was just the way he was portrayed, but he was terrifying. I love that he wasnt defeated in the end, Puss accepts the fact that death WILL take him one day. But he will fight as long as he can.
UGH AND DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE ANIMATION. this entire movie took my breath away, from the opening scene, till the last one, it was spectacular. I wish i could watch it for the first time again. 11/ 10 this movie was AMAZING. I see why everyone is talking about it now 😂
What´s great about this movie is that (as I read somewhere), nobody get their wish from the star, because everybody did the thing you are not supposed to do - told their wish to someone. Yet everybody in fact got their wish, even without a star, just not how they expected it.
Jack wanted all the magic - he ended literaly drowning in the most potent magic there was
Goldi wanted a family - she got one, not the one she imagined, but one that was "just right" for her
Kitty wanted someone she could trust - she found that in Puss and Perrito
Puss wanted new lives - in the end he started a new life with Kitty and Perrito
I’m very happy that kids movies are finally starting to not treat kids like idiots again! Serious subjects, blood, real emotions, fears! It almost seemed like a horror movie in few moments! Love it!!
I Shouldn't have to say this. But they're even treat Adults like idiots............ Because the shit half of us were watching 2009-2010 didn't make us adult......They want us to be kids (who are humans) the same reason will Assault them.A it RARELY be called assault.is the same reason they're treated like idiots
@@trakepower sorry, I don’t understand
