It's been nearly two years since Superman's (Henry Cavill) colossal battle with Zod (Michael Shannon) devastated the city of Metropolis. The loss of life and collateral damage left many feeling angry and helpless, including crime-fighting billionaire Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck). Convinced that Superman is now a threat to humanity, Batman embarks on a personal vendetta to end his reign on Earth, while the conniving Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) launches his own crusade against the Man of Steel.

The concept of Doomsday itself is nightmarish, the more it dies the more it becomes immune to death, gradually moving towards immortality, paired up with kryptonian physicality. It's an unstoppable killing machine and won't stop till you are reduced to dust.

The reason why the Kryptonian robot warned lex about the procedure beforehand is because this was done before and the last doomsday created by bertran destroyed one of krypton's outer moons before it was killed and such experimentation was banned by law. Also notice how doomsday learns and adapts the same way zod does while fighting. Cool detail!

Without it I’m not exactly sure how he would die. He can’t be pushed into space since he’ll eventually just fly back, it can’t be destroyed a nukes since all he’ll do is absorb them.

The theme was really creepy and doomsday was fast and strong
One of the main criticisms of Doomsday was its appearance. No spikes, etc… All the blame was put on Snyder. But in reality WB saw the original design for Doomsday, and said it was “too scary” for the general audience.
