It's been nearly two years since Superman's (Henry Cavill) colossal battle with Zod (Michael Shannon) devastated the city of Metropolis. The loss of life and collateral damage left many feeling angry and helpless, including crime-fighting billionaire Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck). The concept of Doomsday itself is nightmarish, the more it dies the more it becomes immune to death, gradually moving towards immortality, paired up with kryptonian physicality. It's an unstoppable killing machine and won't stop till you are reduced to dust.

The reason why the Kryptonian robot warned lex about the procedure beforehand is because this was done before and the last doomsday created by bertran destroyed one of krypton's outer moons before it was killed and such experimentation was banned by law. Also notice how doomsday learns and adapts the same way zod does while fighting. Cool detail!

Luther knew Doomsday wasn't going to be rational and somewhat accepted his death when he closed his eyes, waiting for the final punch. Earlier in the film, we hear Luther go into why he hates God (basically Superman in this case) and how he didn't save him from the punches of his father...

Hate this movie or not, the CGI is well done.
When you think about it Hulk is a lot like Doomsday when they take damage they get stronger they are both full of rage. The only differences are Hulk feels remorse for the damage he does and does not have heat vision

Without it I’m not exactly sure how he would die. He can’t be pushed into space since he’ll eventually just fly back, it can’t be destroyed a nukes since all he’ll do is absorb them.

This "Doomsday" looks like a cheap version of The Abomination from the 2008 Hulk movie.
Itfyou see the BvS concept art, you'll find that there were Comic Accurate depictions of Doomsday. Why they didn't chose them?!?! I don't really know.
Besides, confirmed by Zack Snyder, there's also another Doomsday off planet (The suposed REAL Doomsday).
Which makes things even more stupid, since there's more Doomsday's than other DCEU heroes.
