In this video, I'm getting ready to hit the road again with my daughter for another car camping trip in a beautiful location. But first, my Dodge Grand Caravan needs to go from the 5-seater it's been for a few weeks now back into a no build camper setup for 2. After our first trip I thought some changes were needed to make things a bit more comfortable and functional in both day mode & the transition to evening/bed mode. I'm cleaning, stowing the seats, and loading her back up with the changes I made note of, so let's see how this works!! (I'd love to know what you think in the comments below) I'll let you know how it works after our next trip ==== My setup details **As an Amazon Associate, I do earn a small commission for any qualifying purchases made using the links below, but this is at no additional cost to you, and I only recommend the items I personally use and love. I think this is my favorite so far. And it does really look like you have more room. Taking your daughter along especially if it’s raining is a good idea, as it is a true introduction to real van camping.
I think it's actually pretty impressive all the different ideas you come up with for how to arrange you bed and everything else, and you make it comfortable for yourself and your daughter. This one looks pretty comfortable. Take care of yourself and have a great weekend.
I was a little shocked that I was able to fit everything I really "needed, into them - I thought for sure I wouldn't be able to do it lol! I felt so accomplished!! 😆
Amazon for that one! It's just a woven basket/hamper, but I like that you can mold it in different shapes to fit better! (They have all difference sizes too... was debating a shallow one for things too.)
Looks grade, but not clear how bed works. Sounds like it extends/folds out; in an earlier video I thought you were sleeping cross ways on rear seats with backs reclined ... when travelling alone. Yes? Thinking I want to try that ... being just 5'3.5".
It's a tri-fold mattress, but a full sized one, so it just barely squeezed into the back space with no wiggle room. During the day or in travel mode, i fold it into the couch position & I unfold it into a full size mattress that takes up almost the whole space in bed mode. I needed to come up with a quick and temporary way to comfortably sleep both me & my daughter, but when I'm solo I often use my 3rd row bench seat as my bed so I have much more space! I have a video showing how I turn it into a bed for me that might be helpful! th-cam.com/video/fIsZP6d4Gyw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=LJwGQb2XnMzAOI8y

Looks roomy, functional and very cozy!! Thanks and Greetings 👋
Thanks so much!! Hi!
I like it! Not having to move stuff when putting down the bed is perfect!
Yes! I'm thinking that will make things much more convenient!
Thank you!

I was thinking that, too! Hopefully any storms will be short lived though! I really wanna do her first campfire this time!
I think it will work !
Thank you! I'm optimistic about it! 🤞
This is so clever ❤ love the dynamic duo and looking forward to more videos 😊
Thank youuu!!

Thank you so much, I appreciate it!!
I really like this one Heather, It looks like a lot more room and very comfortable.😊 Im happy your daughter enjoys camping with you. 😊❤️
Thank you! Hopefully it works well for us (and the heat isn't to tough!) 🤞🤞
Hi Heather ❤🙋♀️The pants you were wearing are neat 😎This setup is great too 👍♥️ It'll be nice for sure
Thank you!!
I want to do some van camping with my grand daughter this year, and I really love this layout that you have! Thank you for sharing!!
Oh, I hope you two have a great time! Thanks for watching!
Nice job, Heather. ❤
Thank you so much!
I really like this. I'll always be solo, but if I ever want bigger mattress, I could do this. I need to pare down before I head out in Fall.
Thank you! 💚
This is great I have a 2020 caravan
Luv this set up. I need to pare down my stuff😊
I was a little shocked that I was able to fit everything I really "needed, into them - I thought for sure I wouldn't be able to do it lol! I felt so accomplished!! 😆
I like this setup. Where did you purchase the tote that looks like rope?
Amazon for that one! It's just a woven basket/hamper, but I like that you can mold it in different shapes to fit better! (They have all difference sizes too... was debating a shallow one for things too.)
And thank you!
