Despite its flaws, this game is absolutley phenomenal. Godly soundtrack, insane combat, so much content, I'm 70 hours in and not near done in 100%ing it.
Please do yourself a favor and get this fantastic game.

This game was definitely worth it. Makes me wonder what platinum has in store for Bayonetta 3. I really love their games.

Well deserved. The best thing about this game is that it came out of nowhere when we saw it on that direct. Such a wonderful surprise for this year.

Everybody loves the Astral Chain, so give them another place to shine. Let them be in smash and I guarantee they will be an instant success
More Smash characters are on the way after this pass and Sakurai wants more worlds to unite in the game. I don't see Daddy Sakurai skipping this game.

I’m just so glad to see Platinum getting the love they deserve. They’ve been great even before they were Platinum, and as long as they have the freedom to be themselves, they’ll continue to be great.
IDK how many times I've thanked Platinum Games and Nintendo for this but I can't stop doing it so once again; Thank You so Much.

1. Mr. Taura has surpassed all expectations on this game and I can't wait what's next for his directive career.

Best new ip on switch this year.. My game of the years.. I just wished it was longer.. I want more..
There hasn't been nor there will be any other new IP on Switch this year except for Daemon X Machina, so really zero competition in that regard. Also, the game's length is perfect, Automata was too long.
This game will definitely get 2 more games. Its bound to have a trilogy now the success is wild.

Michelle Tackett Being dual audio also helps. I wish Tokyo Mirage Sessions was dubbed instead of sub only. If it was dubbed, it would've sold A LOT better.
@@TMX1138 It does help but I honestly wouldn't care and I don't think the SMT and FE weebs care that much either. I think the game just came out with a lot of controversy on a bad console and at a time where the FE franchise wasn't doing so well. I'm happy that the Japanese version has English support. That'll help if the game gets any local censorship like it did in the past.

Alan Light I think not dubbing it also helped not do so well. If anything, Atlus and Nintendo just didn't care about making it a hit in the US and EU.

Got the game 2 days ago I have to give it a 10/10 it's so much fun
I knew I was in for a treat after starting the game with that opening sequence. The music, the futuristic atmosphere, the combat, it literally reels you in. I havent even got halfway through the game but man..each file is so jam packed with action it keeps you wanting more, wanting to explore, look at everything. The hype is real for this one folks
One of the best action games ever. And this is coming from someone who loves Bayonetta, Devil May Cry and Ninja Gaiden
Whoever edited this video, deserves a raise. The editing is FANTASTIC.
It's a shame that Akira and the different forms of the Legion didn't got their own amiibos

This game reminds me of playing both Perfect Dark and Golden Eye 007. I used to played them on the N64 when I was a kid. I love this game.

This game absolutely deserves every bit of this praise, it is most likely my favorite game of 2019. The story, the gameplay, the music it's all just perfect. I really hope this becomes a series because now I want more!
According to the director, they will be working on a trilogy of games after the success of the first Astral Chain.

So far from what I have found, Astral Chain 2 is a guarantee.
If it sells more than a million then its a legit success. I can see 2 million total sales.

Nortrodamas for comparison. Xeno 2 was barely 2 million and its a big hit for monolit soft. Bayonette 2 both on wiiu and switch dont reach a million copies sold tho buy still nintendo funded a sequel.
Nier automata at 4 million sales is still the biggest success of platinum games although is not an original ip from platinum.

Bayo and Astral always gives me that push to go practice. The more you learn to polish those new move, the better you feel when fighting the real stuff.
Reason why there is a training room where you can summon different chimeras to fight and you will never die in the training room
Or just keep redoing missions, it's waay less monotonous than the training room and there is so much to comb through in each level it would be impossible to find everything on the first run through.
This is such a great game! The soundtrack is UGH 😍😍
this chain based battle system is just awesome; with 5 legions and all are so useful in specific cases (especially utlimate mode), awesome game!
The Nintendo switch is made up of hardware from old smartphone devices.
The fact that Platinum was able to fit a game like this into it, shows true dedication

This game is a masterpiece !
I loved this game so much. The gameplay mechanics kept me hooked the whole way through and was surprised to get 40+ hours out of the game on a first play through.
It's definitely got the blood of your combo driven hack and slash action game like Bayonetta or Devil May Cry, but it's fleshed out with some really engaging exploratory puzzle solving elements.
Also the aesthetics, and premise is something that really snagged my attention as unique. Using two characters to combo and attack. Playing as a police officer who has to solve crime scenes and do ome detective work.
My only gripe is more questions were raised then answers given by the end of the game, but it also feels like they built this game fully intending to create a sequel. So here's hoping they will expand and answer those questions in the sequel. Cause I want to see an even bigger and better Astral Chain.
It's planned to be a trilogy, so I can't wait for the ride
