Yeah, I highly doubt both games are going for the same thing.
It's obvious this game is going for a more usual platinum style, and Taros name isn't anywhere on it so I don't know why people would expect the same thing

I’m addicted to this game, so much so that my Switch was nearly out of battery. When you’re hooked on a game and you need to stop playing to charge, you know the devs have done a great job.
I hope this gets a sequel on Switch 2. One of the best games on the system hands down. Especially, on the OLED screen.

The hype is real, the control system alone is stunning. One of my new favorite Nintendo IP. Platinum Games have outdone themselves.

Just brought it recently, this is one of the most gorgeous looking games ever.
Everything that Astral chain has was lit, Nintendo and Platinum are an excellent duo when it comes to these kind of games
Finally got around to picking this up! I absolutely cant believe I slept on this game for so long!!

I believe Bayonetta 3 will be an asset reserved for 2020 to combat new Sony and Microsoft gen consoles, along with Metroid Prime 4. Nintendo knows both Sony and Microsoft are coming in HARD in 2020 so I guess that would make sense.
Metroid Prime 4 is honestly my most desired Switch game. So sad that development had to restart :(

@@DonutTPOTer It wouldn't be just a swordsman, as you could probably switch between the 5 legions. I mean, there's a Sword Legion, Arrow Legion, Beast Legion, Arm Legion and Axe Legion, plus the main character's weapon can change between a gun, a baton and a gladius sword, so it wouldn't be just another swordsman. I don't really see the issue here.

Can this be the game of the year?
I read a bit of a nonsensical review on The Independent recently that said it wasn't such a good game. Now, before anyone comes down on me thinking I'm biased let me explain. Here's an example of what I mean when I say "nonsensical": The columnist compared to game to Devil May Cry's Style changes saying that Astral Chain lacked a similar variety making the game too repetitive. Which to me makes no sense because clearly the different Legions you get would be the equivalent of Dante's "styles". Astral Chain you have a dog like legion, a sword like legion etc. Dante has his Trickster and Royal Guard styles etc. In fact Astral Chain has more legions than Dante has styles so if anything Devil May Cry is WAAAAAYYY more limited than Astral Chain 😅
There were two other points made that didn't make sense but I'll keep it brief
He says something along the lines of there being no incentive to mix things up because there's no grades unlike Devil May Cry. And Astral Chain doesn't have grades, sure... On *the easier modes*

Yes, a fighter, assist trophy, or just some spirits. Of course if they add a fighter from this series all 3 will be added.
A character would be perfect. Basically Rosalina and Luma. Legion gives you power if it's near you but it can also be sent out to dish out attacks on its own.

It's not exactly a random thought, not when, literally, in every game that gets announced for switch, there is at least one person that wants representation for that game in smash Bros, regulary the protagonist as a playable character.

I thought the opening was sung by Kate Higgins (Pauline) and I was gonna say "what?" Becuase it makes sense she'd dub a song in a Nintendo game also she's an anime VA.
While slightly slow to release than the UK trailer for this game, a bit better too. Mainly because unlike UK version, this does not spoil certain plot/story line.
This was such a no brainer for me, not regrets. Game oozes style.
I remember when the first trailer came out, everyone had mixed opinions between not liking it, and thinking it looked okay. I love to see that the majority of people have gotten hyped by the time the game launched.

Its Bayonetta with 「STANDS」
ok Warning your Nintendo switch when Docked will actually overheat after 5 hours of continued play of this game have had no game crashing at all but i did get the overheating warning and the system auto sleep kicked in when i was fighting file 4-5's boss so take breaks every 5-6 hours changing to 480p/720P does not stop it from doing this keep the back tray open when docked i have not played handheld mode so i can not say if it won't overheat from that as well have fun
good game this problem needs a fix something about load distance possibly can fix this but it will hinder the game or nintendo needs to make a new dock for cooling
