Same lol. I'm on my fourth run now though. At 200 hours so I know the context behind everything. It's crazy on how much you can pick up from the couple second snippets/dialogue and realize all the endgame routes were spoiled lol

Only Koei Tecmo deserve praise, Intelligent Systems only oversaw it and gave "minimal" staff.

@@elizabethllenn1067 Fire emblem Fates got a great concept but justt the worst writing and storyline and dives to deep to anime waifu stuffs. The veteranism on this series is also rather heavy. Luckily, 3 Houses did a massive step on the francise and surely have changed that and brings balance to the veterans, newcomers alongside bringing quite a great story and characters to the franchise.

@@elizabethllenn1067 It mostly started with Awakening. Both mechanically and artistically, it was a big departure from previous FE games, and it did a lot of things that older fans didn't like. However, it brought in a lot of new fans who got into the franchise because of it, and that kind of started the trend of the FE fanbase being at war with itself.
Also Gatekeeper dlc as a recruitable npc or Rare Battalion.
10/10 Will buy.

IS and KT even dipped into different color logic for gamers when they made each house and their leader.
Edelgard (Black Eagles [actually red tho]): wants to go to war to fix the continent and will kill anyone who stands in her way. As her house is red, she’s a huge tryhard
Dimitri (Blue Lions): wants to stop Edelgard from getting her goal and protect those who disagree with her. As his house is blue, he’s an anti-tryhard.
Claude (Golden Deer [but really yellow]): just wants to have a good time and bring people together peacefully. As his house is yellow, he’s the memelord and the peace seeker.
You made me want to play the game even more WHILE I AM CURRENTLY PLAYING THE GAME! HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?!
GOTY hands down for me right now. The game touched me in a way that games don’t touch that often. My upmost respect for the developers, and for Nintendo.

This game has proven to me why Nintendo feels confident enough to list Fire Emblem as one of its a-listers. I only hope it sells as much as it deserves.

@@chatterbox4422 I agree. It's a nice change of pace and allows players to focus on the lore and world-building as well as the battles themselves. I was once skeptical of the school system, but after experiencing the second part of the game, it really felt nostalgic and I missed it quite a bit for keeping the game comfortable at the start of everything

Cool. Maybe try some non-highschool emblem sometime? Awakening was my first FE and then I went back and played Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn as well as newly released Fates: Conquest and Echoes and realized Awakening is actually kind of a hot mess. A lot like this game in a way really.

The more the days are going, the more people are discover "the second part" and the Game of thrones stuff..the more the good word spreads ear to ear about this game
And every player for now is doing their first campain, every one have a different point of view about the war.
It's insane marketiing, it's like BOTW when every player at launch have gone in a way that other don't.
Yeah the war views are so freaking intresting, just shows how well they did the story
Honestly, I went for the Edelgard route and was like “damn the Church is evil”, rn I’m in the Golden Deer route and saying to myself “damn Edelgard’s a dick. Also, maybe the Church isn’t too evil”.
Every path convinces you that you’re right, it’s actually really impressive.

I really can't wait to play Edelgard's route to see the "other" pov, probably will play Golden Deer last because it seems the most neutral.

This game already outsold Awakening twice over, and it's a Fire Emblem game that feels like it's returning to form.
“Death... Death.... Despair... Death..” Welcome back Fire Emblem. One of Nintendo’s darkest franchises. I guess that’s why victory tastes so sweet. This is the first modern mainline Fire Emblem I started first in classic mode. (FE Warriors doesn’t count since it’s a spinoff, even if I started that one in classic)
Still. Something about this game. It almost marries Fire Emblem with a touch of the Persona experience. I think the biggest surprise is that it works. It really works.
I also like the school. Even when just looking around, they put such nice little touches there. I like how the Pegasus riders are patrolling the grounds above you. Just that little touch that screams what kind of world you’re in.
I like that Fire Emblem is Nintendo's most dark and grim story narratives also including but not limited to messed-up stuff like...
...brutality of war, you or someone killing your family, sacrificing your loved ones, affairs with relatives, burning people to death, being possessed, human or semi-human trafficking, and actual blood in a Nintendo game huh.
I really never played any Fire Emblem game before but this game got to be my favorite game of all time
If your new to Fire Emblem and this is your first one ever playing, you can play it in Casual Mode. If you want a good challenge but don't want to permanently lose your favorite characters in battle and have to restart again and again to keep them alive, choose "Casual & Hard Mode" and play that way. If your character/characters die in battle when playing Casual Mode, they will come back in the next chapter. Just like in past FE games. Don't ever be ashamed of how to play and enjoy Fire Emblem. Just remember to play strategically and have fun.
Not everyone plays FE the same way. The gameplay, characters, and the story are what matters.

@@kevinramirez3134 Wow, I made a very similar recommendation a while ago, but basically saying to play casual to learn the ropes and then switch over to classic for the next playthrough to see if you like it or not. That's also what I'll say now: At least try classic once you know how things work.

If OG is before Awakening, then kinda. I started with Binding Blade (I think that's the actual name, it's the one with Eliwood, Lyndis, and Hector.) I also played a bit of Path of Radiance, my brother bought it since he was an Ike main in Brawl, but found he didn't like FE all too much, so I played it a bit.
I'm not super OG, or maybe not really OG at all, but I did play FE before Awakening, which was the game that really brought interest to the series. (In the west of course.)
I wish I had been a player from the NES days, but like the person above I joined in on the GBA game. I have however gone back and played almost all of the originals. 776 being one of my favorites.
My first was Sacred Stones. Like most people, I was introduced to the series through Marth and Roy in Smash Melee.
My first was Awakening, but that game made me start playing them all, old and new.

I love how the school system works both logically and mechanically. Exams to pass for a class change from learning the right skills? What a smart way to enable customization for the characters. It's also fun to bond with students and staff and there's always something new to learn
bruh i finished my 1st playthrough with Golden Deers and now I'm on Black Eagle route. I haven't been this addicted since Awakening
The game has sold insanely well so far! I think Fire Emblems future is looking bright and that makes me so happy.
I bought it twice. First regular edition, then I fell in love with the game and wanted the art book and soundtrack so I bought the collectors edition too lol.
I was going into this game completely blind and not expecting too much from it. I was happily surprised at just how addicting I've found the game and how much I've enjoyed it. Definitely my GOTY so far!
I went in blind too. Two days later I spoiled the whole thing for myself.

I prefer all the 3 lords from three houses then Byleth, mostly because Fire Emblem needs representation that is not a sword
Wild Tea Sipper I’d imagine that being possible for someone like Kiran and the Askr Trio from FEH. He’d be able to switch between Sharena, Alfonse and Anna and they’d have mages, fliers and Cavs based on their weapon colors.

Me too technically. :D I played the Gameboy one on an emulator a few years ago but I got bored and decided to restart and kill everyone in the tutorial. (I did it by taking away their weapons and just waiting forever)

Good idc what anyone says. So many great games last yr but this was my goty 2019. I was skeptical at first but so much care went into this game. The writing, design, branching story paths, character development, how every single thing u do outside of battle has a purpose to helping u get stronger. Just a well balanced and fun game l. The only way I can see someone not wanting to play this is if they are not a fan of the genre. Which i don't knock since there are games I won won't play but a great game is a great game.
This is honestly in my top 3, if not my favourite game of all time. This game is absolutely amazing, and exceeded my already high expectations by such a huge amount.

As right now i'm through Dimitris Story and i cried at the End. I never cried for a Fire Emblem game once.
Crazy thing is, I've never related to a FE main char as much as I do to Claude (77 hrs in, almost done with the first playthrough) but I STILL can't wait to play a second time with one of the other two. And the funny thing is, before I had no interest in either Edelgard or Dimitri, but now I can't choose bc I want to play both so badly. If that's not great writing, I don't know what is

With so many ways s/he can be built, s/he could be very different from other FE Super Smashers. His/Her Final Smash would be summoning all students from all Three Houses in a Gambit Boost Batallion.
As a big fan of this game, we don't need a new character every single time one is released.

They dont fit the actual background like... geometry wise... so there are weird warps that look really unnatural and artificial and break immersion sometimes

I would love an axe wielder. Maybe edelgard? I think byleth would be a better fit but he is another sword fighter. Unless of course they add the *insert spoiler* form with his/her special weapon. That would be cool.
