@@oblue0033 There's nothing to get lost on, it's the first of the 3 planned games. The only inventory you have is a wheel that you set items on. You can upgrade your legatus and weapon. It's really simple and the game explains it all.

I'm pretty sure they cut out many legions to make the legions we have now more fleshed out. There's concept art of them.
I 1000% recommend this game. Wish it had Dlc though, buy it in a heartbeat.

No. Stop spreading that misinformation. Platinum never said that there would be two other games coming out, but what they DID say is that if Astral Chain sells well, they will certainly *consider* a trilogy.

Put all characters aside, I want Akira with Legion sidekick to be a character in Smash.
Adam K I’d be afraid of it being similar to Rosalina/Luma.....
@@da_shadowwarrior8613 I kinda picture the differentiation being that Akira has more control over the Legion than Rosa and the Luma. So maybe borrow from how Persona 4 Arena does Personas and Dragon Ball FighterZ does Android 18 and Videl, have the Legions appear for the duration of their moves and recalled soon after.
I didn’t play Astral Chain yet, but could a smash bros Akira work a little bit like Joker? The Legion and Persona look like they could perform a similar gimmick.
Wasn't sure about this at first, but having beaten it today Akira would be an awesome addition to the roster. They would have a ton of move set potential using legion swapping.

If y'all don't have this yet, get it. Platinum knows what they're doing; they did make NieR and Bayonetta so they aren't messing around here.
And honestly, it feels like they combined the two with xenoblade, zelda, and a detective game to make this love child. One of the most unique and engaging things I've played in a while.

@Stand up to the Comment Section Why bother comparing sequels in long established franchises to a new IP with a less common setting? Sure it may not have suited YOUR tastes, but it sold well enough to justify production on more entries in a series. It was a smash hit as an experimental IP, not because you compare it to long established franchises that consumers are going to buy regardless.
Best action game of the year, and in a year where Sekiro and DMCV released, that is no small feat.

If you are still debating on getting this game, I cleared it a week ago and still play every day just because the gameplay is so much fun. So if you haven’t bought it yet, do yourself a favour and go pick it up.

You're frankly doing yourself a disservice if you own a switch and still haven't picked up this game. It's SO SO good.
When I heard news about Platinum games a few months ago, I was sure it'd be a trailer for Bayonetta 3, so I was super duper disappointed when I first saw the trailer of that game, I really hated Astral chain at first. But a few months and 60$ later, I'm singing Savior while kicking chimeras butts in style with a pink arm legion. What happened between now and then ? A trailer about character customization

This game is so damn good, and up there with Platinum's best. Alongside games like Bayonetta 1&2 and Nier: Automata. Combat is engaging and in depth, there's an immersive story/world, with interesting characters, and the music slaps. definitely in my top 5 Switch exclusives, and one of the best games this year.
The best part about this comment section is the plethora of positive feedback. I need this game now!

@@number-kg3ul Wearing the Lappy costume is part of the story in the game. You run around the police station trying to chear everything up. Maybe later in the game you can equip it.
@@number-kg3ul If you mean the Lappy item for the boy in the hospital place, you have to go talk to the lady with the short blue hair that helped you get in.
@@peachgirl625 I've finished the game but if you collect the six lappy costume parts then you can use the costume freely so I'm told at least and I'm missing only one.

Astral Chain is one of my favorite games of this year. Please buy it if you haven't already.
The game is sold out Australia Wide so it definitely did well here. So hoping for a sequel of this game and even some merchandise would be amazing!
Rumor has it that Platinum was planning to make it a trilogy if this game sold well...so chances are good.
I made a comment earlier today highly recommending everyone to try this game. I just beat it this night and that reccomendation has upgraded to "You must buy this game if you own a switch". Seriously this game is one of the top 5 games in the Switch's library, and my favorite game this year (so far).

How do you go through most of the game with c1- legions
With a lot of skill in the base mechanics. I don't use most of the skills and specials the Legions have, myself, but I've done pretty well just at the usual techniques I've learned from Platinum games.
Definitely definitely worth a cop! Great game play cool graphics cool levels straight 🔥 music it's one of my favs on switch i recommend and them boss battles tho!

Only issue i have is that you cant change the chain/energy colour as blue can clash with other colours
I Just finished the game , a must buy but it have it's issues, the investigate section sometimes slow the pacing of the game, and portable mode works fine, but where you are in a corrupted zone there is too much red lines surrounding the character, the combat is godly tho , once you understand it it opens more and more, especially when you learn to rapidly switch legion to combo certain skills, upgrading you weapon and legion will also unlock some new commands ,once you master it you'll be hooked
Little tip once you are able to customize your legions, use purple, black and green, evangelion style they all look badass !!

@@MrEmberCraft Sometime that Noah guy took out my whole health bar in one hit, but I realize I wasn't at my hights abbilities, that's why I want to start it again and max everything out
