- Everyone told us not to do it, but we're not that good at taking practical advice. That's how we found ourselves not only visiting Karachi, but also loving it so much that we decided to make it a temporary home-base for a year! We still plan to continue traveling, but wanted to be near family, the ocean and the INCREDIBLE good food here in Karachi. I’m so excited to follow your journey in the coming months! I too have said over and over again that I would not live in Pakistan although having family from there and been a couple of times I do love the country 💚 And deep down it’s a place I yearn to be in having experienced it’s amazing warmth and hospitality of the people masha’Allah.
There's truly no place like it. And when you come, and experience the innate kindness and generosity of the average Pakistani person, you can't help but love the people and the place. Nowhere is going to be perfect, but what we can find here is a feeling of home, belonging and even peace (except for the crazy traffic lol)

We just got back from Karachi back in December. We were there for 2 weeks and rented an Airbnb for 2 weeks in Clifton near Dolmen Mall. I fell in love with the lifestyle!! I dont think we can do the 1 year thing like you guys. I think I would love that but not my wife, she probably wouldnt.
Karachi is AMAZING, like honestly such a great city for a short trip, especially if you have family or friends here.

Hi, what mic did you use when you are standing in the balcony... Coz so much of Noise cancellation is amazing!
I use the Rode Wireless II mic system, I love it! But I also made some audio adjustments during editing to suppress the background noise. Otherwise you’d hear the very loud AC units on the balcony 😅

You could be living in any country even in a Palace but without your loving immediate family you would feel empty inside.
I have been traveling to Pakistan forv30 plus years and seen it thru it roughest ups and down and still it is in its rough phase but never gave up the idea of one day retiring there as my family is there. If you have decent income than there are still chunks of karachi where you can live and be happy as cost of living is way way cheaper than USA, Canada, England etc. Regarding quality of life, it is you who is incharge to make your quality of life by tuning, and adjusting and taking corrective steps for issues you face while living in karachi or any part of Pakistan!

what is the rent and service charges in Emaar, who pay service charges
The tenant (or owner, if you own the property) must pay Emaar's maintenance fee. Depending on the size of the apartment, the fee is around 200-250 USD per month. But given that this includes SO MUCH security around the complex, I think it's worth it.

@@lonewalker1595 It depends on the size and location of the apartment (sea view vs. no view), but it can range between 500-1200/month before maintenance fees. Most apartments are between 2-4 bedrooms, each with their own attached bath and modern finishes.

I haven't seen all the cities in Pakistan, but so far, I have to agree! I'm super biased towards Karachi :)
