the model 3 is proably either a company car or a rental where someone else ( not the driver) is paying for the cost of charging so the driver is probably using the 350 kw chargers to charge faster that the likely version 2 site limited tesla chargers. where you have to observe urinal rules (one space in between stalls)or you're limited to 75kw. Either that or they didnt know/ care.
I did Philly to Pittsburgh, then to Erie PA, back to Pittsburgh and back to Philly this past weekend (almost 900 miles) in a 2021 Model Y Performance, the last leg (Pittsburgh to Philly - 290 miles) I did in just over 4 hours - short legs and lots of speed, longest charging stop was maybe 8-9 minutes. Gas car is still faster but you can cover ground really well in an EV if you do it right.
@@simplygregsterev I usually don't push like that but decided to yesterday (autopilot was at 88mph pretty much the whole way), maybe I could go 15 minutes faster in a gas car (if I did the whole drove with no bathroom breaks and I did take one bathroom break yesterday)
Ha! I know. Its the time we arrived around 4pm. They were pretty empty of cars. I could have taken any EV I wanted. They were trying to give me a BZ4X… NO Thanks! The Polestar 2 was brand new. I should have asked for the Atto 3 at the start of the trip but for some reason I really wanted the Jeep.
Looks like you drove the wrong way here 15:37 . I guess you don't get too many one-way parking areas in Canada. Love these reviews from someone visiting the UK. Look forward to your next visit and your view on the progress on the charging over here. Region locked app charging is stupid.
montreal to ottawa? There's Tesla in Casselman... roughly 6 different tesla places in Montreal, and many, manby other brands and netowkrs... Teslas has another two or three in Ottawa... In Ontario, the charging networks are a lot thinner... but I mean it's only 200 miles how many charging stops do you need?
417 and Ottawa in General having nothing CCS wise. Casselman is V2 Supercharger and 1 50kw CE post behind the bank. I was simply poking fun of how poor the network is.
I suggest driving slower than 80 MPH, your range will increase dramatically.
@@kab7044 if the infrastructure is there to charge I rather just maintain higher speeds.
@@simplygregsterev your choice, your money….
I'd suggest doing 70mph as that's the legal limit

Possibly
Ferrybridge is a V3 site so very likely someone company/rental reasons.

Yea I don’t bother with long charging stops anymore. Also If I need to use a toilet I stop vs iron bladder

Too bad you are missing out on the BYD. Would be cool if you could have driven it. But the updated Polestar looks good too!

Yea totally my fault. I was focused on getting to the charger before it was nabbed. Ill go turn myself in when we visit the West Country next year 😂
