I've never owned a Citroen but I think this car brand is underrated.
As a passenger I drove different models and I can honestly say, Citroen is the most comfortable car in the world. Especially the C6, the highest comfort.
Great car with unconventional design, different from thousands of identical cars.
I totally agree
I love my DS5 for long journeys, no hydropnematic suspension, but comfortable nonetheless 😊
then you clearly haven't been in more premium brands like mercedes. mercedes makes the most comfortable cars in the world.
I recently bought a citroen c3 aircross 2022 and oh man for the price the car is amazing, i could not believe how comfortable it is for its price class.
The car rides so smooth, but the wipers would drive me nuts. Still a dream car though.
New wiper blades and it would be completely silent!
Had an argentine made C4 for a few years, the wipers work like this ones too. Once you get use to it it's fine, normal wiper left right left right feels boring now
@@LucianoRicci182 Yes. The mechanism is fine, but the wiper blades on this car is bad so that's why they make noise.
@@noelnicklasson6997 Unless he waxes his windscreen.
@@captainwin6333 Wipers should still be silent. I coat my windshield, it's not a problem.
I stumbled across this video by accident. I have driven through France and Spain to Portugal already almost 10 times since 2020, 3 of those this year. Watching this didn’t not help me, now I want to drive a long distance as soon as soon can :) looks like a very relaxing car to drive, congratulations! Wish I can try a C6 one day. Good luck with your car!
fala ai tuga, muito bom cortar o mundão ne nao
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed the video :)
makes me remember back in 2008- 2015 when me and my family (wife, three kids) making those roadtrips in out c4 grand picasso2.0 hdi auto with similar rims (krakatoa)…..indeleble memories, bring tears to my eyes the rt3/rt4 maps layout…. time with no carplay….. superb ride quality. Saint Maxime, Entraque, La Teste de Buch, Arcachon, Biarritz, Getery, Annecy, Antibes, Feldkirch, even Paris and London. Love my family, loved the citroen, cried like a baby when the engine died
how many km's did you get out of the engine? seems strange for a 2.0hdi to last not even 10 years
what happened new engine or new car
AHHHHH, I took my C6 from Vilnius to Beligum and back last year.
FANTASTIC car, and crazy good fuel economy
Sad we didn't get these in the US. We drive a lot but for some reason we miss out on quite a few fun and unique cars. Great content, I enjoyed it a lot!
Gotta admit, I underestimated Citroen for a very long time of my life.
i never stopped, especially now that i work on them quite a lot
@@melancrowlic9485 are they bad cars? im asking because i only know german cars.
@@gta4haterhqNo, why would they be bad?
If it was a bad car would you risk driving so far?! I've owned French cars all my life, mostly citroen and I never been left stranded. Silly things can go wrong but cars are all made of the same stuff these days so can happen on any car! I have c6 and love it❤
@@gregchambers943there's cars that drive like cars( German cars )and cars that's drive like bicycles those ( mostly French cars) I invite you to drove a German car bmw or mercedes then you would know wy
Thank you for uploading.
I used your videos when I was researching about a C6 and a month ago bought one (actually in Warsaw) and drove it back to Germany.
The trip was 1100km, didn't even need to refill the tank.
Of course, no sign of back pain or any other pain, it's like sitting in a living room :)
12/2012, 103000km, I intend to keep it for a looooong time.
Great choice ! The C6 is really the perfect highway car. Have a good road with yours :)
My friend, I live in Liguria near Monaco (1hr) and I enjoy this trip.
Amazing car! I drove from Italy to Warsaw in 2023 with my old mercedes.
This is very peaceful to see
I’ve never done a road trip in Europe, so I don’t know how it is
Very easy and relaxing for the most part, but roads are very narrow if you are from US of A
Bloody expensive on the toll roads in France, Italy and probably some others.
Traffic can be a pain.
I have taken road trips in Europe 40 years straight. Nothing better. Freedom, beauty and new cultures every few hours. You learn when and were to go...❤ from Stockholm, Sweden
And across the border there is a war raging...
@@johanswede8200 imagine doing it in a Porsche 911 or Aston Martin ! Would be very cool
This is a beast of a car. Hope to own one soon. So unique and refined, just luxurious and simple without gimmicky lights and touch screens
The C6 is such a cool car; the quirky looks, the rareness, not desperate to be sporty for the sake of it and the whole laid-back nature. These will be classics very soon.
I totally agree
The dashboard used to be so simple... physical controls all over the place...love it.
Now we have to interact all the time with the touch screen .
Back then you put you music on...and drive
Very elegant car!
French Embassy in Moscow have one.
All the best to your family! Have a great holiday!
Yes I saw photos of it in front of the embassy, glad it still serves in Moscow !
I also like the C6 because of its design and attitude. Not your average European car like every audi or bmw
Thank you for the journey across Europe with this very interesting vehicle😊
Damn you really love that left lane of the highway.
Best kind of videos on youtube, but this one in particular is just beautiful. You really managed to capture the unique atmosphere of a cross-continental trip by adding the footage of the cars exterior and the gas stations. And of course what's there to say about the iconic C6.
I'm subscribing and hoping for more great stuff like this.
Thank you very much ! I'm really glad you enjoyed this format, stay tuned
Great video, very relaxing. I love this kind of vibe, night road trip across Europe. It made me feel this again after 10 years from last long car trip. Please record more of your rides because I need this content ASAP!!!
LOL
Thanks for this wonderful video. I'm subscribing in hopes of more relaxing long C6 drive videos. You have a great taste in cars.
Thank you very much! Welcome on board
When you refuel, the diesel cap doesn't have to hang on the side of the car. It slots in to that round thing on top of the diesel filler flap.
Amazing car, great video. Gotta love long road trips.
I owned a Citroen C6 during a couple of years I lived in Italy. I bought it to use exclusively as my daily driver but it was such a great ride that I ended up taking it all over Europe on family trips. Too bad there isn't a version for the US market.
Wonderful road trip to cinematic places. The appearance of the car reminds me of the influential characters played by Jean Gabin.
Gorgeous car!😁
Great video and great car!
Nice ride-along, thanks!
Great video! We had same issue with "airbag alert" (9:49) in our Citroen Xsara from 2002. When car was maybe 3-4 years old (cca. in 2006) there was sometimes same alert from time to time. We went in service couple of times and they could not solve issue, but told something like you (bad contact or wire under the passenger seat). But in end, when our wiper control knob breakdown during one trip (same as on Citroen C6, on right side od steering wheel) and we put a new one, then we never had this problem with airbag alert never again. We still own Xsara for 22 years now. Also great car ragarding comfort.
Well done! I did a 1200km (to and fro) drive between Munich and Lake Como (600km in a day) and I thought that was a long drive. Granted, I didn't have the work of art that is a Citroen C6, I had a shitbox 60hp Mk3 Golf 🤣
very quiet car. amazing
had one .... loved it ....
I love this car. The only thing Citroën neglected, was creating a sport version to compete with the Audi S4, BMW M5 etc. Can you imagine a C6 RS, twin turbo V6!!🤩😛
You're right but this is already a twin turbo V6, but diesel 😌
Really enjoyble video, great car.
Very Nice Drive! I drove from Hamburg to Warsaw, totaly worth it! Expescially your City Center! Total great City and even better and friendlier People! I definitly return to Poland!
Thank you for your comment
Thank you!
Thanks for the video. Citroen C6 is a really great car for long trips. Especially when it is southern Europe. Best regards from Ukraine, Andriy.🌍
Дякую for your comment 😊
Thank you for the great video, really enjoyed it. This may win me over to get a C6 instead of a C5 for my next Citroen. Every car I owned has been a Citroen. Only 1 without hydronematic suspension, a AKA dyane 😂. Thanks and enjoy your C6!!!
Yes I recommend you the C6, you will have this great feeling of driving something unique on the road and in perfect comfort.
many people think it's an ugly car,but I think cute, interesting, innovative, quality, comfortable !
Lovely car, subscribed!
Welcome !
The C6 is such a cool car_)))
Dream car❤
you deserve more subs
Such an elegant car.
The latest model of 2012. You can tell by the mirrors.
Infelizmente.
I would really like to try it and compare to my BMW E38 740d, which I consider the most comfotable long distance car I ever experienced. I kinda bought it because I wanted to go fast on long distances and I really liked how the V8 diesel sounds, but now it is my go to roadtrip car every time, because of how stable and comfortable it is. However I always liked the C6 and I could see myself owning one.
It's true théâtre the V8 diesel of the BMW must be really something. However in terms of comfort you will have a very different feeling in the C6, everything is very soft and smooth While in the BMW you have a feeling of rigidity and precison instead
@@Marcsauto Is the C6 stable at high speed? How fast can you go comfortably with a slight side wind? Does it behave differently with more people and more luggage?
@@darek4488considering he had over 200 in the speedo once, it does indicate the car would be quite stable. The suspension is also self-leveling so in theory everyday driving and comfort wouldn’t be affected with weight. These actually also have an adjustable spoiler in the back for added stability
you have a diverse but great music taste
Thank you!
Awesome trip, awesome car! Had two c5 in the past, but never c6 so maybe it's the right time ... 🤔
Wow, such a trip was so magic to watch, I did it while having my breakfast, it was so relaxing. I remember I told you I wanted one of those cars, you recommended me the 3.0 L HDI, sadly I couldn't find one in Spain during all this days and we really wanted a classy, comfy French car, like the ones are not made anymore. In the end I went for a Peugeot 607, 2,7 HDI, single owner. It belonged to a lady who bought it in 2009 and kept it very well maintained and, apparently she wanted to get rid of it because she got herself a new BMW (I guess she's got the bucks!). It doesn't compare how smooth it is against the C6 but I liked it, so we bought it (the wife said "approved" lol). Let's see how it goes, Hopefully everything goes well! Have good one! bye!
Thank you for your comment .
I had a 607 just before the C6, truely a great car, also very comfortable. Have a good road with your 607 !
happy holidays
Wow, you've managed to capture a heck of a nice sunset here in Poland, quite spectacular indeed. And also I'm so jealous of your C6. Why the Citroën don't make such classy, timeless cars anymore? I guess I'm getting old...😕
I like your car🎉
Lovely car, I always turn head when I see one. I also have car with 6 in name. Mazda 6, 2009, 2.5 Benzin
The mazda 6 is a great car, unfortunately underestimated by most people in Europe who judge only by German sedans..
That car is a nice way to travel, it's a future classic for sure.
Piękna C6 i niskie spalanie
Dzieki
Pretty cool! Would you mind sharing how many kilometers your car has? Also, do you consider this engine reliable? Cheers.
Need a link to that playlist. Sounds like some great cruising music!
we had plenty pf citroens back in the dat..,mostly my father and me,,had a xm, xantia which both were superb now currently owninga DS,.its a comfy ride but when the hydraulic starts to break its a costly repair
This is a type of car you should listen to Enya while driving a long trip. Budget Rolls Royce.
Fun fact: Rolls-Royce licensed Citroën suspension technology already in the 60s
Thank you for the nice video, I dont prefer Citroens for reliability, and 2.7hdi is also not nice but this 3.0hdi seems perfect here.
The 3.0 hdi is really the best for the C6
I drove 1600km with the a4 45 tfsi from Stuttgart to clermont and back. It took quiet a lot for a 4 cylinder: one full tank to go there, then I added for 20 euros e10, couldn't find e5 unfortunately, back again 1 full tank. 58l volume. So it's over 120l
Did you take a nap somewhere?
Kind of video i searching for
Thank you 4 this wonderful video! You really get an Impression of the unique Hydroactive. III+ supspension.
BTW, I was wondering what you were listening to, especially in the 1st part (le Petit Prince, of course; what was it in french & russian?)
Thank you very much, I'm glad you liked the video ! The first book I was listening to was The dream of a ridiculous man bu Dostoevsky. You have a good sense of observation that you found out about the second one, or maybe you speak French yourself ?
@@Marcsauto Thanks 4 your prompt reply. I‘ll check if Достоевский is available on Spotify.
I‘m german native speaker. It‘s been a while since I was a student in Paris. The affection for french Cars still persists (C5 owner).
Please keep on posting C6 videos 👍
Nice video. The Vignette, however, is needed from Kufstein (German border) on and not only after Innsbruck. In fact, the Brenner Highway is to be paid separately as you mention. Hopefully this one is not turning into a very expensive trip as Austria has a very suffisticated automated recognition system...
Even Jeremy Clarkson was enthusiastic about the C6!
Diesel versions are too old for my country, LEZ et cetera and huge road tax.
Cool video! Love this car. Unfortunately never drove one, but I’m sure it will be just as good, if not better than the older Citroen models with the same suspension. From what I hear, the 3rd brake light causes the rear convex window to illuminate with a red glare. Did you have that issue? Anyways, I subscribed 👍
Thank you! I didn't notice anything particular with my central break Light
Amazing drive and what a car!
Also, what is that song from 14:15 till 14:45?
Work in austria. Am from portugal. Wife from bulgaria. This one is on the short list for next car. But diesel.
Good choice
14-00 - good low beam
Really nice video! I love those long kind of trips - always relaxes me a lot. Personally I have 607 2.2hdi 170 from 2007, not as good as the c6 but also quite a durable car. Have now 300,000kms on the Tacho, and cannot say a bad word. Btw. what is the song being played around 14:20. I cannot find it. It has a really nice vibe. It should be "moi, rien " but it's impossible to find it on spotify...
Yes it's Moi Rien by Benjamin Biolay but impossible to find anywhere apart on my good old Ipod

What year is this car? Such a solid video showcasing how ahead of it’s time this car was
Mine is from 2011, one of the last ever built
Merci ! J'utilise tout simplement iMovie. Haha et oui le Zin ;)
i also did 2 days ago 1.900kms with my 2002 Audi A4 1.9 Tdi in 14 hours, Valencia to München
It must have been a beautiful road !
A quiet Citroen C6. I drive even longer distances in a 52 year old Citroen GS at the same speed as you. But the GS is the real man and machine car!
What camera u used?
classy as f*ck
I would love to see the same video but with a Citroen CX25 GTi Turbo (168 ch DIN).
Do the wipers always make that noise no matter what wiper blades u use?
I just think that I must replace the balades
How many mpg?
25:20 wow fuel prices
Hardly over 2,000 rpm at 130 km/h makes it also comfortable😉
Doesn.t the handbrake auto release when you select drive and accelrate and then auto engage you select park and switch off the car. It should.
2:19
3d Classic!
i have never been so jealous of a car before, theres literally no diesel sedan in my country so i never experienced a truly modern diesel NVH smoothness
Which country is yours? As far as I know, only in Brazil diesel cars are forbidden. But you can still experience the modern diesels in SUVs, equiped with the same engines as the cars.
You havent tried the S class yet, that is even more comfortable
For having tried the 2011 S class I can tell that it's quite similar, also top clas silence, decent power with the 320CDI, and good air suspensions. But the S class are very common on the roads, you don't really stand out of the crowd of German sedans and that's why I chose the C6
