    Wow... I've done similar toilet swaps FIVE times now in 11 years and always had the same issue you mentioned about water input being in different places. Always had to make some kind of a funky new turn in the line for the new toilet. That simple 20" hose adapter you mentioned (and linked in the video description) is absolute GOLDEN help! I would have paid you for that kind of advice! You are incredibly helpful and kind to your audience, and I will be sure to give you and your channel the credit it deserves when I do my next toilet swap next month! Thanks again!

      Thank you. I've enjoyed your channel for a very long time and I'm happy to give back even a little. I'm also happy to hear I'm not the only one that's been frustrated by the water line connection.

    I know this is an older video, and i put one of these in my rv a year and a half ago and love it. I do, although need to change the hose to braided like you did here. Mine did fit, but not as good as i would have liked it to.

    Fantastic explanation of installation. Very thorough. My 5th wheel has a non-elongated bowl and I hate it. I guess I should be glad that I hate it since my anatomy needs the extra room. Thank you.

      We are hoping to replace our toilet and like the cut off idea. The pipe that comes through the floor on our camper looks like a hose, white with blue line. Will the SharkBite work with that hose?

    Awesome video, I just made this upgrade to my Highland Ridge Open Range travel trailer...I absolutely hated the Thetford toilet and was looking for an alternative. I used your Pro Tip and picked up one of those shutoff valves at Lowes. Very, very easy stuff...Thanks, great information. Yeah, I understand totally that filming does take a lot of time, but, it's fun to watch and videos like this are super helpful. I'm in Alabama and finding an RV technician is near impossible, but, I'm an engineer, so, like I said, this was easy.

    Excellently done video on the installation! thanks for posting. One recommendation: consider to always use PEX crimp ring connections. I've heard of shark-bite push-on connectors failing. The crimp rings are rock-solid and really easy to use with a crimper.

    BEST Install video I've seen yet! I have a 2021 Gulfstream Kingsport UltraLite 268BH that developed a toilet leak this past November! I have one of those thunder mugs, they're nice. I like the flex hose and valve idea. My vacuum breaker valve went bad and slowly filled the bowl. I didn't realize it and tea bagged myself early one morning.😬 I've had just about everything go wrong with mine. I keep every spare part on hand.

    I agree with you about the shutoff valve - any time that I have to repair a water line, I'll put a shutoff valve in if it doesn't already have one. Thanks for the videos, and for anyone that complains about not getting enough of them, have them buy you a couple of police-style body cams, and just start uploading raw footage, then demanding that they edit the videos into something interesting in less than a week's time, and for free!

    when you are installing new water lines install a water hammer ,,, sounds better and makes the system last longer .. i have very long lines in my RV going to my washer and dryer and one at the toilet was in the center of my system ...you can get them in 1/2 pex and there very small ... goggle 1/2 pex water hammer arrestor

    Cool video. Get a tri pod for your camera so you have both hands to work with. Been thinking about putting shut offs on all my lines, never thought about buying a complete braded line with shut off valve already on it. See, your videos are not only cool and you are cool too, but very informative. Knowing you are a mechanic first and do videos as whatever, they do really help an individual doing these diy jobs. It is better watching your videos than asking on facebook and getting twenty stupid and sometime dangerous ansewers. Although you-tube does have knowlegeable people. Keep up the good work and film whatever you can.

    Side note, install the bushing into the pex before you add the fitting to make sure everything seats correctly. Other than that, nice work. Edited to say, 1 extra inch might make all the difference

    Hi just a heads up from a plumber, the braided supply is cross threaded on the toilet. Caught my eye as you where finishing up. Like your videos , learn a lot n I like your work ethic, this isn’t a criticism, just a heads up

      @AZExpert  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I do appreciate that. I saw this and headed back the 10 miles or so, but it was not crossthreaded just a weird angle, but thanks

    Price on your advice I went ahead and got the part you recommended. I’m now going back to the hardware store for the fourth time. None of those will screw onto the back of the toilet. They are not the right size. It needs to be all pex bow.

    • @AZExpert
      @AZExpert  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Am really sorry to hear that. They are a 1/2 " fitting the 7/8 " is too big. The PEX 1/2" swivel nut is the same connection.

    • @robtball7629
      @robtball7629 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@AZExpert I ended up getting one that worked. I had bought the right size but the 1/2 fitting would not screw on because it did not have the right kind of expandable gasket in the fitting.

    Just seeing this Video. Great job. One question… I have a 2008 Winnebago and the water line is that funky braided line not PEX. What size or what connectors would I need to put in the 1/4 turn water valve?

    Very good video. Question, I would like to change the angle of my Dometic 320 toilet in my 2021 Keystone Montana 3781RL. I noticed at 7:08 in the video, you mentioned that you could remove the toilet flange bolts and twist the flange. Would this work without drilling new holes in the floor?

    Besides the top screws on the flange is the flange glued to the downward piping? I ask because my toilet is installed wrong and I need to give our toilet a twist. If I can turn the flange a bit this would allow me to mount the toilet at the proper angle.

    For our 2020 Forest River Flagstaff, we upgraded the toilet to the Dometic 320 however we have a fresh water hose pex clamped to the 1/2” elbow and then threaded to the toilet. Do you have a suggestion for fitting the fresh water hose something other than a shark bite? I don’t think the shark bite will be compatible with this type of hose.
