Today we went on a huge Balkan food tour in Skopje, North Macedonia, tasting some of the most popular food in Macedonia and best food in the Balkans, this is one big Skopje food tour!
We started our huge Balkan food tour tasting the incredibly delicious, flavourful and tasty Macedonian burek at a local bakery in Skopje. Burek is one breakfast food to eat in Skopje that you don't want to miss. We continued our North Macedonian food tour tasting Macedonian cevapi. Cevapi, or Kebapi in Macedonian, is such a popular North Macedonian food, as well as one of the most popular Balkan foods that we had to try.
Our Balkan food tour took us to eat a famous Skopje street food at a very local shop, stay tuned to see which one! We finished off our food tour in North Macedonia to try pljeskavica and rakija, two of the most must try foods and drinks in the Balkans and Macedonia. The pljeskavica was on another level, and the rakija dangerously delicious.

You will never go hungry in Macedonia or any of the Balkans and the prices are very reasonable BUT the food is absolutely delicious!

Soo in Macedonia every city has it's own recipe on making food. For example you should visit Negotino to try their type of pie by the name Pita, visit Stip to try their own type of pie that they call Pastrmajlija and at the end you should go to Radovish to try their own kind of pie that's the most different of them all. They are all pies but have different names and look and taste different!
I would assume you are in Skopje, so from there u can get to Stip first than go to Radovish (they are like 50-60km from Skopje and 10km away from eachother) than after that u can get from Radovish to Negotino in about an hour or like 40-50km driving on mountains. I promise you it's worth to take a day and go on this journey, we can even meet and I can give you guys some of my wine and rakija ; ) Hope this helps!!

Well, now I really want to return to Macedonia. The food of the Balkans as a whole is really underrepresented and there are so many variations of these and other dishes is mind boggling. Even town to town, house to house in Macedonia, you will find unique deliciousness. And the debate over what city has the better pastramalilja is as fierce as the debate between New York and Chicago pizza, lol. Great video, liked and subscribed, looking forward to more food adventures.

Hello you two! What an interesting video! I never thought of Macedonia as a place I wanted to visit, but after watching your video, I have to say it looks like an amazing city! All those statues are very cool and Skopje looks like a fun city to be in. The food, as always with you guys, looks so good. I have to try those kabobs and the burgers with that white cream. The people also seem like they are very nice. Way to go you two, and way to go Macedonia!
