@@AdventuresOfATravelingDon I recommend next time at Thessaloniki to visit the museum at Vergina and see the tomb of phillipe the entire museum is undergtound
I have never been to this country, but I am highly motivated to go there because it is not a typical destination for the tourist masses, yet the country has a lot to offer for those who want to explore it. It seems that the people are friendly and the food is delicious, especially their kebab, which I have tasted in another country.
Wow, so many statues. It's quite fascinating. The old town looks very cool, lots of nice scenic points and restaurants to check out. The National Museum looks like a great way to check out some more statues and artifacts too.
Wow, what a delicious journey through Skopje! 🍴 Loved how you showcased not just the amazing Balkan cuisine but also the rich history and culture of the city. Keep up the fantastic work!
Beautiful stone Bridge I love how the 4 bridges connect the split. Love the statues too. Bread with bread yummy haha 😄 Amazing views from the fortress despite the pollution. Loved the Balkan dinner with music 🎶
Your description of the bread with bread... had me. Wow looked awesome. And your dinner in Skopje (sp?) looked really delicious I love trying new food. The museum and bazaar seemed nice too.
@@AdventuresOfATravelingDon I hare when the weather conditions make travel less than ideal - but I guess that's a chance we all take with travel. Still looked awesome.
Yeah it sounds I do not need to go there during the winter. My allergies are horrible. I would probably just be miserable there during winter. And how cool are all of those statues, especially the one in the water. Lastly, your dinner looked delicious.
so you ARE heading to Tirana next?? exactly following my Sofia - Skopje - Tirana route!! lol. I didnt notice poor air quality there in March last year (Skopje) so interesting that you had issues especially as there didnt seem to be many clouds about. By the way, to BLOW you mind a fun fact - Cotton Candy here in Australia is 'Fairy Floss'. In the UK though it's 'Candy Floss'. How this differences came about I dont know. but WOW right?
@@AdventuresOfATravelingDon no i took the ferry to Italy. Kotor is lovely though I bet you had a great time there! although not sure what its like in the winter,,,, brrrr!
Technically Alexander was Greek. The original Macedonians were a branch of Greeks that settled the North. I believe they spoke a unique dialect of Greek but, they did consider themselves Greek. The old Kingdom of Macedonia I believe covered what is now the Republic of Macedonia, a big chunk of Northern Greece and bits of Albania and Bulgaria.

From the food to the diverse history Skopje is a fascinating case study in the Balkans.
Beautiful Macedonia ❤
This area is something brand new for me. The food looked delicious and the museum was really good. Thanks for the tour

I've never noticed bad air quality, but i also rarely hang out in the very Tsentar
It was bad the two days I was there. Not sure if that was an anomaly. It was just my experience.
Air pollution in Skopje is quite bad in summer
I saw a series about Alexander not that long ago. I didn't know that he was from Macedonië before.
