You have saved me from giving up and throwing my console in the bin! This has worked an absolute treat! It’s running so smooth now it’s amazing!! Thank you!!!
Just to confirm this worked for me after trying multiple things to fix this corruption issue, replaced the sata data side of the cable as advised and been working for months with no issues. You are an absolute legend sir !
My xbox one x was concerningly hot. Constant freezes. Long startup times. I upgraded to a SSD thinking this would solve the issue and for the first 24 hours it did. Next day xbox started throwing e106 and e105. I tried all of the microsoft troubleshooting steps, erasing data, updating, hard pwr off. I was convinced the xbox was getting to hot or something on the board was damage. This fixed my issue!!!!!!!!!!!!! She wouldn't run for more than 10 minutes before. I just got finished downloading 100gb, playing 2 games of madden 23, several races on forza, cruising through microsoft store! YOU ARE A WIZARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You are a hero, this worked for me thankyou so much! I only bought a to big sata cable (the head) so now my xbox won’t close. I am going to get a smaller data cable soon and hope it will still work. Thanks!
Update: I have been playing for a month now without any issues. I had all the e10x error messages before. After using your method my xbox has been working better than ever.
Replacing the sata cable revived my Scorpio edition, i soldered a sata power and the xbox lead together but should have watched this. excellent idea (y)
Thank you Repairing faulty machines at a private company seemed expensive. I couldn't even sell the machine with the problem. I solved the machine problem by referring to the video. thank you
Could I not just get a replacement sata/power cable for my xbox or are they know to be faulty too? I haven't looked up pricing but I don't trust myself with sawing the connector.
2024 July, my Xbox hardrive had started failing about 4 years ago , hadn’t been able ti find a permanent fix until now ! Had e102 and 105 errors . Have had so errors since
My Xbox one x Scorpio edition would not boot on its own. It would only show no signal unless I booted it into recovery! Sometimes it would work if I erased everything and set it up as a new console. It worked fine until I’d download a game and play it for a while then it would freeze and all the images on the dashboard would vanish and when I reset it I would be back at square one with a bricked Xbox. I took it apart cleaned it even though it wasn’t dirty. I changed the hard drive. Still no luck even though the new hard drive made it a lot easier to accept the offline usb update. But somehow I got a e106 error after trying to play lol so I TH-cam’d it and it brought me here. I was on my last leg with this Xbox and was going to get rid of it but I went to Best Buy and got the sata iii 2’ cable for $8 and took out my hard drive and cut that mf connector in half and grinder it down with a nail filer and put it all back together and no errors since. I’ve been playing all night 😆. Thank you brother. A $8 fix 🙌🏽. I think the original piece gets messed up from being bent
Damn I was so hopeful! I have an Xbox 1 original model. Getting to the preparing console screen and then it says something went wrong and gives me the option to reinstall the OS. Tried reinstalling but is stuck in the same loop. Any suggestions!? Thanks for the help!
@@lenzo2158 yea to be real wit you all I did was a offline update and got a new Sata data cable and I was set to go. I mean it’s still working rn but I need to get a new hard drive anyway. Just try a offline update and see if that works
listen man i have a seagate barracuda 2TB 3.5inch already formatted for xbox one s, when pluged to my power cables from his pc, and the sata from the harddrive to the xbox the entire thing works, but i want a adapter that eliminates the use of a pc so do you think theres one i can get thats for a 3.5inch sshd?
Before I do this I just have a few questions. How do I know this may work I have an xbox one x and started getting error 100 00000800 7045D I replaced the hard drive and it works for only a few small games like rocket league and minecraft. If I attempt to install any other game it will continually stop and if I try to force the download it forces me back to an error screen which I will be stuck in until it decides it wants to start again. The reason im writing this is because the connector works somewhat and Im scared to cut the connector that may cause me more problems. I just want to know is will this solution let me download other games or will I risk bricking my xbox for nothing.
Hey man, I understand your concerns and you’re right to be cautious. This video is actually an update to another one I made. The other video is a more in-depth look at why the problem happens and a few ways to fix it. Method 1 in that video will show you how to try the fix without damaging your connector: th-cam.com/video/E4L8LLYduGY/w-d-xo.html
My Xbox didn't work before but then I got a new properly formatted hdd. It worked ok and I was only able to download one and a half games until it kept on saying installation stopped. I turned the Xbox manually off and on. My downloads was still saying the same thing. So I did a hard reset where I unplugged the power. Still did nothing. The last thing I did was a regular reset option on the Xbox then I got the start up error e105. I restarted again and somehow got back to the Xbox home screen. It surely couldn't be a hdd problem as I just got a brand new one and was clearly working well as my game was syncing up fine and everything up until a point. should doing this method or buying new sata cables fix my problem for good?
I think it will work for you. This video is actually an update to my original where I talked about the problems that these fixes will help with: th-cam.com/video/E4L8LLYduGY/w-d-xo.html
Hi, I’ve been having issues with my one x. Basically, when I set it up from scratch after factory resetting it, it works fine on the first boot. Games play normal, no errors or anything. But as soon as I turn it off, and turn it on after some time (a few hours), it starts giving me save data error as soon as I start to play any game. And when I clear save data, it takes some time to restart, and then ends up at a e105 error. And then a cycle of errors continue. Do u think this would fix it? Please help Thanks P.S do u have an Instagram or any other social media I can message you privately on?

Yes, it works for the original Xbox One. The principal is the same, although the insides of the console will look different. You just need to find the hard drive connector so that you can do this.

There might be a corrupt file in one of your games guys. It happened to me. Try to avoid downloading that game.
