The first truck was an American LaFrance Patriot which is extremely rare, only a few were built before ALF was bought by Freightliner and the Patriot was replaced by the Eagle
This isn't the first fire station to burn and it won't be the last, it's sad but it happens. Kind of hard to fight a fire without your gear and equipment because that's wants burning. If your house was on fire, a garden hose isn't going to help. You need the pumpers and all the other equipment that it takes to fight a fire. Fire fighters don't show up at a multistory building in shorts and t-shirts. They bring what they need with them. Can't do that if that's what burning. Best of luck you guys.
+John Parker Yup, it's like, ya gotta have backups for the backups ... in this case, gotta have a firestation to put out any other firestation fires XDDD
Jeff Leonard actually if I recall from a police report and footage, a fatal MVA occurred at the station, involving a truck. the truck crashed off the road into one of the rigs, when a fuel tank exploded starting a fire. that is of course if I remember it correctly.
I have only just seen this video and hope that no one was heart in this incident and everything was rebuilt for these brave firefighters to carry on with their good work in saving lives.
Kevin Funk Funk it was a long road to get to were we r today we r truly greatful to all of people who supported us threw that horrible time but major upgrades were made to insure that never happens again
Looks & Sounds Eeerilly like what happened in Mount Eden, Ky. recently, the fire station caught fire, everything from fire department apparatus to fire department fire fighting gear went up in flames, there is a news story(from WLKY Television channel 32 in Louisville, Ky.) about it.
@ Hogwash you can go fuck yourself and if I knew what town you were in id have you black listed from the response area. lets see you do a better job then firematicly - FF. M. Reiter
Max Reiter You must really care about what I say....But I dont care about what you think. Now we know how you "real American heros are". You only save the lives of the people who you either dont know or people you like. The ones you dont like you are willing to "black list" and let die. I could just say "hope a fireball runs you over in a chemical spill you turd" but I wouldnt really mean that one and two I would never black list anyone and risk their lives. Cause I'm not like you, you hero you.....
Response times are dependent on where the vols are at the time of the call. I know with out station in Aus we heavily rely on members from neighbouring stations to help us with day time response as we're a rural community and most members work outside of our town. For me I work 20 mins drive from my station and often it depends on what mood my boss is in as to whether or not I can leave work and turn out as there's no requirement for them to let me go. Could be the same there but then again I dunno how the US works.
Leroy Hogwash Do you not understand what V-O-L-U-N-T-E-E-R means? It means UNMANNED FIREHOUSE! I'm a volunteer firefighter and I will fucking race to the firehouse at 2 am just to go save some sorry ass like you who doesn't appreciate what we do. Since you do not appreciate what us volunteer firefighters do, let me put it into perspective for you. We run into burning houses of people that we don't even know and if need be, find and carry them out. YES we would even do it for some low life piece of shit trailer park bum like you. So if you think for one minute that we are selective about the people we save. Your sadly mistaken. I hope one day your house burns down, because you fucking deserve it. Don't fucking disrespect our brotherhood. So go play with ur CB radio and pretend that you're mr. big shot because u drive a big rig. I look forward to the day that you burn in hell.
Gotta say that second truck firing up and moving under its own power was like it giving the middle finger and laughing at that what tried to take it out.
Especially with the 2nd rig, how the hell did the tires not blow from the heat? I figure that fire burned more than hot enough for the tires to explode from the intense heat.
+tarence319 Yeah, so much for the phrase "Kill It With Fire". Although a station house and trucks going up in smoke- well, that's pretty bloody ironic.
Just because the second one fired up doesn't mean its repairable. The heat damage to the frame would be enough to write it off, not to mention potential heat damage to the engine and transmission. Not really worth risking salvaging it as you'll be dealing with reliability issues afterwards. However you'd be surprised what can survive a fire so long as its in the right place. As long as its basic functions are intact (fuel pump and shutoff, starting circuit) it'll fire. I've seen a dirty old LN108 Hilux absolutely gutted by fire, but they threw a battery in it, jumped the starter solenoid and it fired up first pop
I can only guess that the station was not attended to when the fire started. It's hard to say anything when we didn't see it happen but if someone had been there wouldn't they remove the non-burning trucks before the fire got too large?
+kd5you1 I live in the area and from what I remember from the local news reports one of the engines caught fire after returning from an earlier call. Its an all-volunteer department so yes the station was empty at the time. The engine went up and took the rest of the station with it.
I just looked it up. According to a 2007 story in The Republican-Herald, it took 30 minutes for the fire to gut the engine room and cause more than $1 million in damage. It was later determined that a malfunction in a 1994 American LeFrance engine started the blaze.
How to fix it, Hooks really strong and buff horse to pull is around and tie an airhorn onto the truck, there that makes it a day. I bet repairs where thousands or even millions of dollars.
ya know im a firefighter as well and something like this aint nothing to really joke around about cause that is like 2 million dollars in damage and equipment
Didn't say they weren't going to be totaled by the insurance company. Just that they could be repaired and put back into service for a lot less money than buying new.
+JeepCollector91 Those trucks are dead ! The metal will rust with the speed of light.. All chemicals released in the fire gets in to the metal and you can clean it..
lol the second one rig did not want to go it started up the windshield wipers work the brakes work the tires were somehow intact hopefully they could save the station
I know right whoever had the audacity to set a volunteer fire or career fire station on fire should rot in hell I have great respect for the first responders including the men and women who put on their firefighting equipment not knowing if they'll ever see their loved ones again........... They'll be back up and running if you could keep me posted on the progress they are making I would appreciate it
A lesson learned from the 9/11 cleanup, don't do a cleanup like this without protective gear like masks for breathing, preferably something covering the eyes, long sleeves and long pants, etc.
the second truck was like: stupid fire, is that all you got?
Gc35 Zx2 that trucks is like " King Kong don't got shit on me"
Lol king of fire trucks
Hope they rebuilt the station and everyone inside was ok. The reaction of the guy driving the 2nd truck out was priceless when it came alive.
Josh W yes josh the station was rebuilt and some upgrades were added to insure that never happens again
I'm surprised that the second truck, even though it was destroyed by the fire, was still capable of moving under its own power.
The first truck was an American LaFrance Patriot which is extremely rare, only a few were built before ALF was bought by Freightliner and the Patriot was replaced by the Eagle
Those trucks were new! my station still uses a tanker from 1962
The oldest fire engine my fire department has in service is a 1987 Sutphen Engine.
James Beans we had an old 60s jeep brush truck and (I'm not sure which generation) Mack ladder truck
One of our volunteer stations still uses an 83 American LaFrance and an 85 GMC
James Beans same
The oldest...Mine still uses a 1996 HME tower ladder.
aww!! it was really a heartbreaking event!! "We Miss You" was written on the window of a house or in the station...😢😭😔😢
It was written on a school window.
If the Q works, rip it off and clean 'er up and put it in the next rig you guys get.
This isn't the first fire station to burn and it won't be the last, it's sad but it happens. Kind of hard to fight a fire without your gear and equipment because that's wants burning. Yup, it's like, ya gotta have backups for the backups ... in this case, gotta have a firestation to put out any other firestation fires XDDD
John Parker that's why it's good to have good neighboring towns, to help contribute in every way
at my vol. we do lol
3:00 That truck's screaming "I'M ALIVE, MUTHAFUCKAS!"

What happened
how amazing is that the fire truck can drive away when he is on fire
That'll buff right out.
There's a reason in the UK that fire sprinkler systems are required by law. The good old USA haven't figured that out yet
Not true since you made that comment grenfell happen mate.
Second one has engine and electricals working, I think can be repaired and used again. Are these equipments are insured?
Let's see the removed 2 trucks that's about 3 Million dollars gone Rest in piece firetrucks
Isn't it just a tad ironic that a fire station would be destroyed by a fire?
Jeff Leonard actually if I recall from a police report and footage, a fatal MVA occurred at the station, involving a truck. the truck crashed off the road into one of the rigs, when a fuel tank exploded starting a fire. that is of course if I remember it correctly.
How does yourown fire truck catch fire in the station where its parked ? ♨
Devin Hornberger faulty electrics may short out or overheat when the rig is charging
I have only just seen this video and hope that no one was heart in this incident and everything was rebuilt for these brave firefighters to carry on with their good work in saving lives.
sorry for your losses!! that's a tough thing to deal with.
Kevin Funk Funk it was a long road to get to were we r today we r truly greatful to all of people who supported us threw that horrible time but major upgrades were made to insure that never happens again
That second one... The one he started and put on the low bow under own power said... "Tuff", on the back!
I’m surprised the Q still worked even though the rig was totaled but still movable
The 2nd rig, Wow still driveable.
The 2nd one is tough
that's pretty sad for all of those poor firefighters!!)-:
Bizarre irony aside, I hope everyone rallied round until the station and trucks were sorted out.
Will they be able to be repaired
I don't think so
Samson Mintz it's a total loss sir
I read another post stating that they were both written off as total losses and replaced in 2008 and 2009
Samson Mintz both 1994 and 2002 American Lafrance engines were totaled and replaced with 2008 and 2009 pierce velocity engines
"Call the firefighters.... Oh wait... We are the firefighters"
It would be like a doctor operating on himself.
The response time in this town must be horrable! Not even the fire dept can get to the fire dept fast enough to put a fire out!
@ Hogwash you can go fuck yourself and if I knew what town you were in id have you black listed from the response area. lets see you do a better job then
firematicly - FF. M. Reiter

+Leroy Hogwash You are hereby granted the rank of internet troll.. Aren't you proud!!
How did the fire happen?
What a sad situation. How did that fire start???
the second one will need a major overhaul to be put back into service, but its definitely repair-able.
Even if it can't, the engine and transmission still work just fine, after all, the second truck could still move on it's own.
I know that feeling my old department that I was on caught fire but we where able to save all the rigs
3:00 Im alive, bitches!!!
Gotta say that second truck firing up and moving under its own power was like it giving the middle finger and laughing at that what tried to take it out.
2:57 that q is unusual
how did it happen
How did the fire happen
Why did the siren go off if their not pressing the pedal
The wires probably got welded together from the heat.
they're*
Benim ülkemde Türkiye'de İtfaiyenin,de Ambulansın da,Polisinde, Askerinde kralı var, yeterki insanlar saygılı olsun.
How did they turn it off
Trains and Sirens the what?? Sirens? The probably cut the wires
Trains and Sirens nah the siren brake there's a pedal
The trucks look fine It'll buff out. Lol but this really sucks
Ben Meyer
Ya plus how did they catch fire any way
HOW JUST HOW the last place you would expect to burn down.
Sad day for those firefighters.
Is This the Station where the Lights on the Rescue Truck Shortened out and caught Everything on Fire?
Tim Ass no it not
Can the fire truck be restored?
Arson?
I hope no one was hurt?
What caused the fire?
Especially with the 2nd rig, how the hell did the tires not blow from the heat? I figure that fire burned more than hot enough for the tires to explode from the intense heat.
Did they find out how the fire got started? Was it an accident or intentional?
When the second trucks windshield wiper and siren went off,....the first thing I thought about was the movie Christine!!!!
+tarence319 Yeah, so much for the phrase "Kill It With Fire". Although a station house and trucks going up in smoke- well, that's pretty bloody ironic.
I just said a similar thing before I seen this comment.
Both written off and replaced in 2008 and 2009
That second truck was like a dog when it is pulled from a fire, traumatized and in pain the dog lets out a wail just like that engine.
is their a link to the video of this fire
Did they replaced the trucks that got destroyed in that fire or not
crazychickally583329 what do you think?
crazychickally583329 yes they were replaced by a 2008 and 2009 pierce velocity engines
Was there a fire at the fire station
I can only guess that the station was not attended to when the fire started. It's hard to say anything when we didn't see it happen but if someone had been there wouldn't they remove the non-burning trucks before the fire got too large?

+kd5you1 Makes the irony more severe that the engine itself started the fire
+Richard Williams was it caused by the engine being too hot? since you said it was just back from a call.
can they be saved
ok
austin in block productions no they were a total loss and they were replaced by a 2008 and 2009 pierce velocity engines
Sorry to see this loss. Is there any thing worth salvaging off the trucks?
how did the station catch fire????

Jkas
***** They probably reported it over the radio like Cameron stated.
it was called in by a neighbor
simmonsaustin1 u r correct in what u posted it was a malfunction in 94 Lafrance
The Strong power of ALF fire trucks
What caused the fire?
What's the name of that fire department
Very sad to see but how does this happen?
What was the cause of this fire?
How in the world did a fire station catch on fire!?
Many the second one could be fixed and used again because it still works after a missive fire
What happened here?
looks like possibly the rescue truck caught fire
nicloe girl in yes , love
HOLY 3:05 THATS Nice now we need to drive it out ohhh yea ITS out!
How to fix it, Hooks really strong and buff horse to pull is around and tie an airhorn onto the truck, there that makes it a day.
I bet repairs where thousands or even millions of dollars.
the 2nd fire truck reminded me of Frankstein coming back from the dead
3:00 It is alive
What is going on with all the fire stations catching on fire? Something big is going to happen in my opinion
ya know im a firefighter as well and something like this aint nothing to really joke around about cause that is like 2 million dollars in damage and equipment
second one needs just some paint and new doors
lol
and a complete lights circuit and wind shields
A new case for the second fire truck :-) never touch a running system
this must be hard for the fire fighters to see this
I bet it feel heart breaking seening a rig go to the scrap yard
So I'm geuseing that somehow that fire station caught fire?
So sad how did this happen
I find it hard to believe that the tires still have air.
Why their were just standing around, and not fighting the fire
Nice video
It's sad to see a fire department all burned up. Who comes when the fire trucks are on fire?
It's hard to figure out I haven't the foggiest of ideas
heart breaking.
I feel safe assuming that this FD no longer has any appreciation for irony.
I think they now may fire trucks fireproof. That's ironic and super sad 😥
Does anyone else see the irony of this? A fire station burning down. I would think the second engine could be restored.
When the fire station catches fire, who do they call?
Also, it really is a FIRE station now :P
These jokes
Those two trucks can be rebuilt.
+JeepCollector91 No they cant there totaled.
Didn't say they weren't going to be totaled by the insurance company. Just that they could be repaired and put back into service for a lot less money than buying new.
+JeepCollector91
Gonna be a LOT of work though! :/
+Benjamin “Ozias” Esposti
Yes, but still a lot cheaper than buying new trucks.
+JeepCollector91 Those trucks are dead ! The metal will rust with the speed of light.. All chemicals released in the fire gets in to the metal and you can clean it..
it's a actual fire truck lol
I get it
lol the second one rig did not want to go it started up the windshield wipers work the brakes work the tires were somehow intact hopefully they could save the station
I know right whoever had the audacity to set a volunteer fire or career fire station on fire should rot in hell I have great respect for the first responders including the men and women who put on their firefighting equipment not knowing if they'll ever see their loved ones again........... They'll be back up and running if you could keep me posted on the progress they are making I would appreciate it
+Dennis Throckmorton was it set or accidental? Ahh, further comments show it was accidental, equipment malfunction.
+fastst1 what was the malfunction electrical?
Dennis Throckmorton
I think it was electrical on one of the trucks
Dennis Throckmorton it wasn't arson
g?
The fire truck burnt is very ironic
darn shame hopefully the sirens and air horn still work
That's bad when the fire house catches fire.
A lesson learned from the 9/11 cleanup, don't do a cleanup like this without protective gear like masks for breathing, preferably something covering the eyes, long sleeves and long pants, etc.
Mark NC stfu
This is sad but ironic
At least the siren still works! (3:00)
DAM !!!! THAT SUCKS !!!
