- Welcome or welcome back to the stash! today we go over the new issue of The Amazing Spider-Man.
PREVIOUSLY;
The Gang War rages on! Spidey's allies have scattered across the city to take down all the gangs vying for territory. But fighting directly at Spider-Man's side is his most unexpected ally yet, TOMBSTONE.
Along with She-Hulk, the unlikely duo took down the Tracksuit
Mafia before they could gain their footing. Meanwhile, MADAME MASQUE took her moves out of the shadows, finally revealing to the Maggia that she took out all three of their bosses, SILVERMANE, COUNT NEFARIA, and HAMMERHEAD, and announced she was in charge now.
Farther uptown, Tombstone's daughter, BEETLE, made a move for the DIAMONDBACK's uptown territory, but found she had made her move just a moment too late and the son of Wilson Fisk THE ROSE had already taken it for himself. To protect his daughter from biting off more than she can chew, Tombstone has called a meeting with KINGPIN to see if these fathers can rein their children in.

zeb wells has the midas touch but everything he touches becomes garbage
Dang even kingpins outta character in the comics not only did he respect Peter he genuinely saw him as a major threat to most of his plans. Cause not only was Peter strong in body he was just as smart if not smarter than kingpin. Heck he asked Peter if he feared him. When Peter said no, Kingpin feinted a punch in an attempt to make Peter flinch. Peter Parker, did not flinch, which garnered Kingpin's respect.
Dang zebb is determined to make sure Peter never gets a single Win.

Spider-man killed Kingpin nearly by using Just the back of his hand with one swat.
Leaving with the threat Spider-man would kill him next they would meet.
Zeb doesn't like to write Peter as the hero type unfortunately. hes ignored so much of what's happened in the past

I'm sure that this story has been written without any respect and likeness for the spiderman at all
its kinda sad that JRJR also getting a bad name because hes working with Zeb Wells, i blame mostly on Zeb this because he doesn't know how to utilize Romita's skills enough like give Spidey a rainy scene, give him a swing across the city scene ;that's what Romita do best.
You’re right there’s been none of that and it’s sad! I remember how cool it was to see romitas dynamic swinging poses for the first time reading the JMS run :(
Why do I get the feeling the last issue of the Zeb run is going to be worse than One More Day? Like undoing Peter's origin story or something.
What if he just leaves him with absolutely no personal life. He’s basically almost accomplished that already, when’s the last time he wrote a Peter Parker story

The only best thing about this worst issue ever is the cursed panel of what seems to be Kingpin and Tombstone presumably locking on face like they're about to do a passionate gay kiss like I know deep down romita jr is trying to convey Tombstone biting his face but no it doesn't seem like it to us! 😂

Another great video. I'm renaming this comic book to either "Ordinary Spider-Man" (OSM), or more appropriately "Unamazing Spider-Man" (USM). I appreciate the review. I'll admit I was wrong about Madame Masque being Michelle the Lawyer. I thought Zeb Wells would take the mantle from Whitney Frost, the original Madame Masque, and give it to Michelle the Lawyer. BTW, has Felicia Hardy The Black Cat, or Michelle the Lawyer been in any of the issues of this Gang War Saga? Your reviews are spot on because anything written by Zeb Wells deserves a 3 or less rating, even considering the artist's work, IMO. However, I can't deny the great work this channel is doing reviewing "USM". Let's hope "Ultimate Spider-Man", the other USM, continues in a positive direction and gets better each month. Hope springs eternal. There is going to be either another "Jackpot" mini-series or a comic book. "Jackpot and The Black Cat "1" is coming out and is supposedly going to be part of the Gang War Saga, even though it's not included in the original list of crossover comics related to the Gang War storyline. How many # 1s or mini-series do we need to tell the storylines of obscure characters? Cheese and Crackers!
Marvel and DC are absolutely awful. "Superman Legacy's" plot is Superman is going to reconcile his Kryptonian Heritage with his Human upbringing. Say what? This is ridiculous. That movie, set to be released in July 2025 might be a bigger flop than "The Flash" movie released last year. We'll wait and see. I discussed "Superman Legacy" for a reason. I'd like to recommend 4 Marvel-DC crossover comics. One from 1976Two from 1981, and one from 1982. Marvel and DC over the decades have tried this numerous times, but the more recent comics didn't do as well as these original 4 issues. First and Foremost is "Superman Vs. Spider-Man" from March 1976. The Wikipedia link is provided. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superman_vs._The_Amazing_Spider-Man. A follow-up series comic "Superman and Spider-Man was published in July 1981. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superman_and_Spider-Man Second is "Batman Vs. The Hulk was published on New Year's Day in 1981. There isn't a Wikipedia page for this comic for some reason, so I provided a link to Amazon to view the cover. www.amazon.com/Marvel-Present-Batman-Incredible-Treasury/dp/B002R2C0XO . I always thought Captain America Vs. Batman would have made a better pairing. Lastly, was "The Uncanny X-Men Vs. The New Teen Titans" published in 1982. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Uncanny_X-Men_and_The_New_Teen_Titans. A sequel comic was planned for Christmas 1983 but was aborted. These comics had good storylines, especially when I was 14 years old when the 1st Superman - Spider-Man crossover came out. Compared to today's comic plotlines, these comics were fantastic. Maybe you can do a Retro Review on the two Superman - Spider-Man crossover comics in a future video. You could start a new video series called "MNStash's Retro Specials" or develop your own title. Whichever you prefer. Keep up the great work.
Thank you for your comment :) this series is just so rough, in between making these I’ve been enjoying a lot of daredevil comics from the Bronze Age, just to take my mind off how bad this shit is. I feel bad that this series is forever going to tarnish the romita name granted it being jr. but still, jr. had a great sort of legacy going with his 90s and 2000s work but this is just undoing everything.
I really appreciate the series idea! I’ll definitely be sure to give them a read soon and write them down so I can maybe try to make some content like that! Is there a name I could use for credit of idea if I decide to make those sort of videos :)

Not a fan of saying people should loose their jobs. ASM has been boring ever since first half of JSM. Not necessarily the artists fault.
Personally, I hope they do something similar to FNSM by Taylor again. Best Spiderman run since early JSM. 😁
I said he should never touch a comic again. He’s proven to be one of the worst writers in comics of our generation and he doesn’t deserve a spot on the team while denying someone who actually cares a chance.
Hickman has done a pretty good job so far with issue 1 of USM, Chip I don’t think wants to write Spider-Man anymore which is a shame since his stuff was pretty good
@@mnstash Right. Well, that's basically saying he should get fired. :) Personally hope he still gets the chance to write something else, even if ASM has proven not to be especially good(neither was Spencer's run nor a lot of JSM's second half).
At this point I'm not sure who should get the ASM-job. Chip didn't seem to want it due to the fans. So that's something to think about I guess.
Read Hickman's first issue. Seems fun 😊
I remember my first time reading any of Zebs work was his SHED arc in ASM it wasn't raving material and hes only gotten worse now that hes the main guy.
He never deserved to be the main writer of asm I have no idea how he was picked
