With a division 2 football veterinary student, I can't help ya out with funding the content. But I was a fan of your brother, but with you taken over and doing a good job on his memory. I will continue to watch a like the videos. Best of luck, and continued success sir.
Thank you very much.
As a mere carpenter I echo your comment. I sincerely do miss Jeff, and seeing Boge taking up the flag gives me great incentive to also support the work.
My heart jumped at the sight of that wonderful levergun.
Thanks for keeping the channel going. One thing I really appreciated about your brother were his accuracy tests. Slap a 30 power scope on the next gun like he used to!
I'm more wood stock old timer, but that lever looks like it would take the weather and come out well.
Can’t wait for this version in the 1894 44 mag!
I recently bought an 1895 Dark series in 45-70. It’s a “Remlin” with manufacture date Dec 2020. Quality of fit and finish is excellent. Can’t fault it. I’m loving it.
That’s tacticool, the Trapper is gorgeous, I want both. Thank you for sharing!
I bought that rifle chambered in 30-30 3 years ago the dark series was a nice touch.
I've had my 30-30 Marlin for over 40 years. It's my deer rifle, and I really enjoy firing it.
I have a Dark Series Marlin from back in the day in 30-30 and I absolutely love it. I've wanted a 45-70 and now that this is coming out, looks like I might bet my chance!
I haven't seen this channel since your brother's passing. I'm back on to enjoy your content.
Thank you!
Glad I came across this video. I have wanted a lever action rifle for years but needed something a little more modern. Companies were asking too much to customize one. Glad Ruger came out with this.
Thanks for this. I have been waiting for this release. You gave an incredible review. Great job. This is my next firearm.
I had my heart set on the 1895 Trapper this work of art pops up. Only one thing to do, get them both. Great review thank you!.
Great review. Appreciate hearing from an intelligent and experienced professional.
Great news that the Dark series is back
It was already killed, so dead....😅😅😅
Thanks, Boge, for the enjoyable Ruger/Marlin review, and for the enjoyable clip of Jeff! 👍👍
Glad you enjoyed it, I appreciate those who watch to the end. You guys are the reason I add the Jeff bloopers.
Great looking rifle. Keep up the good work Boge!
Man , I was relieved when ruger bought them. Now they will be better than ever
Thanks for keeping the channel going
Well done, sir! I learned a lot about this new version.
Great review. Appreciate hearing from an intelligent and experienced professional.. Great looking rifle. Keep up the good work Boge!.
Informative video Boge. Thank you Sir.
Thanks for keeping the channel alive great content.
Thank you, sir.
Great video. While the old stuff is still viable, and will get the job done, the new stuff is impressive. Thank you for the really good information!
That was an excellent review of the marlin. I have the trapper, now I'm looking at getting a dark series lever action, same caliber.
I need this weapon in my life. Absolutely gorgeous and the Marlin 1895 has been a dream gun of mine for many years
I assure you that you won't regret picking one up if you have an opportunity.
I landed an SBL about a month ago after a decade of waiting.
Truly a beautiful beast.
Thanks Boge! We appreciate you!
Thanks!
Still a great channel.
👍
Thanks!
Thank you Sir for a genuine review on this new Marlin Ruger made Dark Series LG .
Thanks for watching!
Awesome review brother!!!
I was lucky enough to get the 1895SBL and plan on getting the 1895Dark. The 1895SBL has become one of my two favorite rifles.
Keep up the great work & reviews!
🙏🏼👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Impressive rifle! Nice editing on this video, enjoyed your presentation. Respects from Los Angeles!
As an AR platform shooter I always felt I was missing out by not owning a lever gun. I love the Dark Tactical look. But the only newer dark series was the Rossi... no thanks.
This video helped finalize my decision on a lever gun. Great video.
Thank you, sir.
May God bless America and all who protect her.
Wood stocks look so much better. I've been thinking of getting a Ole Henry
@@America-he5tzto each his one I prefer tactical over wood and it's more practical and lightweight too
Got to love the old lever action rifles something about the looks and the sound of the action it's like being a tactical cowboy.
You're doing Gunblast very well. Very articulate and detailed.
Thank you very much. I try very hard to carry on as Jeff wanted me to.
This has to be the best lover rifle video I've seen
My last lever gun was a Marlin guide gun in 450 marlin. I payed $500 with two rounds down the tube. Glad to see them back but in my opinion ruger wanting 1400-2k is just freakin ridiculous. I love Ruger but their prices have gotten a little out of control
It's not just Ruger, the prices of everything have spiraled out of control, as the Usurper-In-Chief devalues the dollar.
I agree. Lever guns from marlin went from cheap n affordable and you knew what ya got. Now it's completely unrealistic regardless of quality
In my opinion Ruger isn't what they used to be! Prices far outpace inflation but my biggest complaint, they wouldn't help me with screw replacements for a Ruger Old Army which they had just reissued a year or two before, also current models most likely have the same screws. No surprise, they're no different than any big business now days!
@@user-in2xu3ne3z certainly. Just another big conglomerate looking to pad pockets
All prices are ridiculous. Just hit the grocery store.
Very nice rifle! Thanks for sharing 👍
Very very outstanding video. Great job friend. Thanks a lot friend. SC Navy vet. 1965. 🇺🇸😊
Great review on this rifle.
Marlins are where to Plink w/Benchrest. Great Rifle, Best 30/30 Level and even the .338 Marlin - Great Refined Range Gun
Me and your brother used to talk about the 480 Ruger in the Rossi lever actions. I wish that Ruger would make that in one of these.
Ty for the video
That’s a great looking gun. I just finished making my new R95 trapper look pretty much just like yours. It’s a sweet little shooter.
What a great video, nice job!
I agree with ya on the fiber optic sights. my old eyes pick em up a lot quicker but they definitely are not as precise
Great presentation! Thank you
Glad you enjoyed it!
Looks like they saw what people were doing to upgrade the Henry X model and released it as a factory rifle, and I love it! Good by tax return. 😍
I like this guy ...He's awesome ... very knowledgable ...doesn't B*ck around .... Great Job GunBlast ....
Great review thank you
Good looking rifle and good review.
On my wish list!
That is beautiful.
why have i not come across your channel till just now i dont know but well done man ., great content new sub here
Thank you, sir!
I could listen to this dude talk, tell stories, teach or poetically explain guns all day.
Thank you.
Great Rifle
But no one can afford !
It will never be as popular as before due to price.
I have a Rem Marlin Trapper that I modified for my use here in Alaska
Replaced Black Birch stock with Brown Laminated Marlin Stock
Replaced Trigger with WWG Happy Trigger
Replaced Cross Bolt Safety with safety delete kit from Bear Tooth
Replace the Skinner sights with standard Marlin factory rear and front with Williams Fiber sight with cut out hood
Installed Warne Tactical Steel Rail with Warne QR Lever Low rings using Leupold VX3 1.5x5 scope.
I replaced the big loop lever with a standard lever.
This 45/70 Trapper is a joy to carry in Alaska and is always with my family and I on hunting and fishing trips for Bear protection.
I handload using 350gr Hardcast FNGC and Reloader 7 @ 51.8 in WW brass exclusively for this rifle.
very nice job on the video, A lot of Info.
Well crap just when I thought that I had things under control this happens 🤦🏼♂️I’ll never be able to retire.
I’m waiting for the release of the 336 I can’t wait for it.
Very detailed informative video
Beautiful gun; I WANT ONE! I miss Jeff, but, you are doing a great job; I'm sure he would agree.
Oh that's a nice piece
This is an ingenious offering. I always thought lever guns were cool, but I never got one because I figured it would have to be a range toy since conventional lever guns can't be equipped with modern slings, lights, or optics. This changes all that.
Thank you Sir.
that is just cool as hell... there will always be a place for old school wood stock lever guns, but nice to see some updates as well. even with modern automatics that will run with hardly any problems, if you're not stupid or neglectful with em. but a good lever action is even more reliable, when it just has to work every shot. of course, there's still room for a jam. but so much less to go wrong. be interesting to see if somebody comes up with a higher capacity lever somehow. you could always go with a box magazine or something. that would be pretty interesting. a detachable box lever... then, no need to stick with conventional lever action cartridges.
In October, I shot an all-new lever-action from Bond Arms, which has a detachable box magazine.
@@Gunblastdotcomhow much did it Hold ?
Looks good
I agree, Ruger does it right for most of their firearms. I don't like their pistols much but all of their other products are great! I plan to get one ... 🙂
Thank you.
Good looking gun
My God it’s beautiful!
Beautiful gun 😍
That's a beautiful gun carbine
Awesome rifle.
Had a marlin 30-30 very accurate. If I could explain but no time. Very accurate
Picked one up today. Can't complain.... yet...made a video
Thanks!
hahhahahaha I just noticed the shirt underneath your overalls, a fellow man of culture I see. Re-Animator is a classic!!!!
I wish I were watching this live with you with a stout whiskey. You are the best!
And you’re wearing a Lovecraft shirt! Even better!
Elle est vraiment superbe cette carabine 👍
The dwarf at the back is cool
Check.
Got it.)
Dealer was only lowed to get limited ammount.
I got one of them and only because it's who you know.
Last one in the store.)
Love it.
Trigger is floppy which I hear is part of the design and normal.
Liked the Chiapa take down as well but I am happy with bit cheaper and lighter lever rifle with tactical upgrades and Ruger/Marlin legacy.
Optimal presentation ... Best product ...
Just bought the trapper and plan on tricking it out through ranger point precision and getting cerakote
That's a beautiful rifle. Unfortunately out of my price range but she's still pretty. I had a early marlin Remington manufactured. I sold it and replaced it with a Henry. I miss that marlin but not the quality issues I had wi th it.
Gunbroker prices are double MSRP. Love my 1895 I don’t have the need for the dark series but it is a good looking rifle.
I'm definitely glad I bought my Henry big boy x. This is way too Tacticool for me. I sure do wish I had that tritium sight setup though.
I own 3 Ruger weapons and they are GREAT.
Boge, this is the first episode of Gun Blast I have watched since our friend, your brother, Jeff, left this Earth to reside in the Kingdom of Heaven with our Lord & Savior. He is truly missed. I know he'd be pleased with the job you're doing and in the way you're carrying on and honoring his legacy. I hope you're doing well, have a wonderful Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Sweet
Nice vid I wish I could shoot right from my back porch talk about life goals! ;p Sick bro nice review as well! I want one lol
Very good review my friend Boge God bless you be Safe My friend 😇
Thank you, sir.
I like it!
When Ruger bought Marlin I was hoping they would bring some innovation to the lineup and this is a good start
From the start the main thing i wanted to see is Ruger taking advantage of their bery own cartridges, imagine lever gun in 480 ruger ( would make a great reat combo gun with the revolver ) and i think Marlin should have a lever action that can shoot modern rifle cartridges with spitzer type bullets like a blr and long ranger competitor
Good video looks like a great rifle I’d like to pick up. Save that brass😂 that double tap ammo I want to try
I love this look! Ever since the Mossberg 464 SPX I have loved the "tactical" lever look. But the Marlin site says 1049.99 but on Gunbroker they are going for $2500. Can't do that! That's battle rifle money.
thats nice
I wish I could find these up here in Canada! Pain to find.
Hey Ruger/ Marlin how about a new 1891 side loader .22?
Forend holes are not QD compatible.
Only stock.
I tried it.
If you shine light into them you see there is no middle groove.
It's for specific brand extra cartridge holders.
Please suggest to Ruger they build a model 336 in 357 Maximum. Such a rifle, able to fire 38 Colt, 38 S&W Special, 357 Magnum and the Maximum. Such a rifle, especially in stainless, would be a all weather, four season all around rifle for the outdoorsman. In those states that require deer hunting with rifle chambered in a straight walled cartridges, such a rifle would likely be dream realized.
