So.....upgrade to KATO? Bass compared to KATO? Same weight as KATO? Is the 3k region on the Kadenz as spicy as KATO? Sry for the questions but I need to know, thank you!
No, if you have Kato already, I don't recommend buying Kadenz, because it's not a direct upgrade in a plug and play stand point. Kadenz sounds more clinical and technical by default. However, if you don't have KATO, Kadenz is the one to get, because you can DSP it into KATO (with better technicality). Weight wise, Idk, i feel like it's around the same.
@@catadegen Kato fucking sucks in 2024 anyways. I have it, when using other IEMs I even wonder how this was considered so good few years ago. It sounds thin, metallic, harsh, lowest extension is 30Hz at best. Many many cheaper single DDs sound way better like the Cadenza or the new Inawaken Dawn. Can't believe I wasted 200 bucks in the Katos, but hey back then I was really happy.
@@tom_from_myspaceI've been using kato since its release. I've tried many many much more expensive iems. But in the end, i always come back to kato and will never change my mind of upgrading to a new one until it stops working
While I don't have any plan to review Moca, I'm definitely locking my eyes on Moondrop x Star Rail collab, which seems to be a TWS that Moondrop NEEDS to strike their best for.
No, but i mean, ECHO DSP function exactly the same as a dsp cable, so technically, you can enter the values, and plug your DUSK analog version into it and become DSP version.
@@catadegen okay but did you able to tweak the EQ with moondrop app? At this point it's hard to tell which one is allowed to EQ and which one is not because moondrop material doesn't mention these except their TWS
@@hilmyakatsuki1665 Yah, you can tweak the EQ setting and save it with the moondrop app, the limitation is the same as May/ Dusk tho, like no decimal allowed for gain value etc.
Hi. I hope your day is full of bliss. May I ask how it compares to the other IEMs in the same price range? I'm currently using Tanchjim Oxygen and thinking of buying one more to hear female vocal songs like HSR songs. And may I ask how it compares to the Oxygen if you had used it?
Thank you! Kadenz competes very well, even in the ~300usd price range, due to the flexibility of DSP and it's sheer basic resolution. Unfortunately, I've never owned a pair of Oxygen, so really cannot comment much on that. Given that, from what I've heard, Oxygen is a very capable 1DD set as well, I'd recommend save up to try some Hybrid set like DaVinci (250 while in sale, iirc), so that you can have a better development on a listening profile/ collection viewpoint o/
@@catadegen Thank you for your replies. I think I will save up to buy a better one. I currently have in mind a Tanchjim Origin which has excellent reviews about vocals. I guess I will add DaVinci to my list too.
If you have a full-blown desktop dac amp like me, I'd say I like the default sound of Kato more; If you don't have a dac amp or you know how to play around dsp to fully utilize the technicality of Kadenz, Kadenz for sure, and it's a more all-rounded package o/
It's better than 500lm, but cannot comment too much on ea1000 since I've never owned a pair of it. Comparing to other 200-250 dollar iems? It's a very strong pick in terms of completeness.
People will comment without hearing that it's not worth it since Aria 2 graphs so similar. Remember, graphs aren't accurate in the treble (some say past 8k it's all ear subjective), and that's where a lot of overtones and harnonics are, and they make or break the technicalities
You don't see me arguing with people claim that they can eq airpods into annihilator, since there are people who listen to music with ears, and there's some who listen with their eyes.
Woooof, tough question, because as of the time typing, Im wearing analog may. While technicality wise, it is definitely an upgrade and theoretically you can dsp Kadenz into May's tuning,,, but there's a lot more to consider, such as weight and comfort, price etc. So, hmmmmmm, I'll give an extremely biased answer, NO. ;d
@@ZeanRR-j2y TBH, nah, for asmr, analog May is good enough, and you may not like the more technical/clinical sound of Kadenz (not counting for weight/comfort as well). I'd say your logical upgrade for asmr, should be HD6XX, since headphones sound bigger in general.
@@ZeanRR-j2y Nah, it's more like, Kadenz obviously sound better than MAY in terms of techincal performance/clarity/build quality etc, but May is lighter, has a warmer kind of default sound signature that is more palatable than default Kadenz (of course you can dsp it afterward tho). There's always a balance between comfort/sound/price (at least for me), so if I have a pair of May already, other things such as headphones, dac-amp etc. will take higher priority.
no weeb part??? in sound quality, this feels like a good " one and done" type of set, but i just dont trust moondrop QA.
