Man, I was trying to look away from buying new IEMs for a while... The Kato has a very special place in my heart and it's been my favorite for a long time but since I got some higher end stuff I truly don't need a new IEM. The problem is most of us here in the hobby are way past the point of actually "needing" a new IEM.
I remember when a friend of mine still had a Truthear Zero, and I had a BL01... 2 years later, he has a Davinci and a Blessing 3, as well as a pair of speakers and an ifi can dac, and I recently had a Hype2 and a 4U Pro, and I earn $170 a month 😂
It might work, but the cable will be too long since the stock cable is balanced. You’d need both an adapter cable and the bass adapter. It’s easier to just use the included DSP cable.
Yes, you can use it with any IEM. It's a great-sounding dongle that lets you create and save custom EQ profiles. You can adjust a 9-band parametric EQ for any IEM and store the settings directly on the dongle. However, it only supports 4.4mm balanced cables.
I don’t have the TRI i3 MK3 on hand, so I can’t compare them from memory. The Blessing 3, though, is noticeably more detailed than the Kadenz and has significantly better bass.
@@jondandavekinanahan7488 It depends on your preferences. The Project M has a brighter tonality, while the Performer 8 is more neutral with excellent detail. Personally, I prefer the Performer 8 for its balanced sound. However, at this point, I’d choose the new Performer 7 over the Performer 8.
This seems such a "put together" release...the metal of the cable and the adapters don't match, the nozzles give zero tuning, we lost the amazing blue colour and the chrome steel variant, he cable is still of mid quality, to the point that the Aria 2 have a better accessories bundle IMHO. I don't see the point in the DSP cable if the trade-off is to have a broken presentation. Also, from the description it feels like a repurposed Kato more than an improvement, so clearly not for me, since I disliked the original, despite it was a good IEM. I hope that the sequel to Variations will be a META-tuning great tribid and not another rushed released...

We were sold KATO for the second time) It's more like KATO PRO.
Thing is, despite KATO still being "good", its not worth 190$ in current market and neither is the Kadenz.
Looking like the perfect iem for me
Hope you enjoy it.
Pre-ordered one just for the echo-B dsp adapter 🎉
Glad to see 4.4 jack
Nice review but to be honest i was more curious about concerto with the mem driver.Xuan Nv i think is the best tune until now in dynamic drivers
I hoped you commented on using the cadenze's dsp with the Kato.
I hadn’t thought of that. You can use the DSP cable with any IEM, not just the Kato.
More resolving with the Kadenz than the Kato?? I find the Kato too harsh in the upper mids. Is the Kadenz faster with more dynamics?
The Kadenz is more resolving than the Kato with better dynamics.
@@Gizaudiothanks man
Hello, I don't understand English very well in videos, but can you tell me if even with 1 DD, it handles faster rhythms, like deathcore, well?
One day next year. Rn more interested in kima2. how different is the kima2 to kato and kadenz?
The Kima 2 review is coming soon, I will do a comparison to the Kato and Kadenz. 🙂
gonna keep my kato then
I love the Kato. Great IEM.
I wonder if the Zero Red's bass+ adaptor would work here 🤔

@@Gizaudio that sounds a lot like a bother 😅😅😅
Hey is the studio 4 an upgrade from the origin
Yes.
looks like a rebranded Kato hehe. But overall I feel people who like traditional Moondrop signature of KXXS series, they would be happy with this one.
Is it better than the kima 2?
How does this compare vs planars, like the s12 and the s15
Idk how angular form will feel in ear, especially on longtime use
Wait, so what if you use the echo-b dsp adapter with a different iem? How does that work? You can now eq iems with it?

@@Gizaudio that is actually amazing! Would remove the need to use wavelet! Thank you for the response and information!
I think the graph looks quite ok for a $100 IEM. The price is a bit too much.
Competition in the IEM space is intense right now.
@@Gizaudio yeah, specially the sub $100 single DD IEMs are awesome nowadays.
Fav Chi-Fi IEM as of today?
How does this compare to the tri i3 mk3?and B3

@@Gizaudio is the Dita project m worth it if the aful performer 8 costs around 291$ and the Dita costs around 271$?

@@Gizaudio technically speaking, with EQ,is the Dita relative or better than the p7?
@@jondandavekinanahan7488 I have to compare them side by side to give you an accurate answer.
ew300, dsp, hbb review when1?!?!?!
I have the standard EW300, and I like it. I’ll include it in the comparisons.
@@Gizaudio WHEN U bringing the COMParison!?!??! oh and and will u compare all 3 of em please?
@@Eden-qc8if I'll try to get the other two versions first.
@@Gizaudio thank you so much i want one of em on black friday!!
@@Gizaudio OH AND CAN U COMPARE IT WITH MOONDROP ARIA 2s cuz they are similar in prices

Moondrop needs to up their game imo. After variations, they have not yet come with something really good. This might just be my opinion.
Agreed
For me they peaked with Vari and B2
After that they are still competitive but their offerings are not the best on the market anymore
What about the B3 and Dusk
its not kayto
Early?
no.
It looks more like a HeartMirror upgrade than a Kato upgrade
Kato with a dsp cable and less bass, big nope
So…..another MoonDrop IEM with no bass…….ok……another Hard Pass…….
