Great video. Thanks. I hav1992 model 21559. I kept wearing out my spring. Realized when looking at parts diagram, I had been putting spring on inside of clutch idler arm. Best thing I’ve done for pull power too, was to replacing my very worn shaft pulley (32 yrs old). This caused the belt to come off frequently. Snapper parts are getting hard to come by.
Have'nt worked on this traction system, yet but, now I know. Good information! Thanks.

Good job J. We just serviced an old International Harvester push mower. You remember, school bus yellow with a white top cover that looks like a hood scoop? Replaced the points and condenser. Lawn Boy D engine. Looks like the first time the cover was off. I'll try to get a couple pics up.

Only an idiot would replace a whole mower over an easily adjustable and replaceable spring, they cost like $4 online.

Hi MowerMedic1! Your video helps, but I have a newer model 7800709. I have the replacement part, but the spring inside a spring adjustment you show is more of a turnbuckle on my mower. I need to replace the whole cable. Hope you see this!
Hello, MM1. My question is about a Honda carb. I am working on an older model 214 (great mower) but while cleaning the carburetor, I broke the plastic piece that holds the float pin/float/needle and seat. The hinge.arm just snapped. This is a plastic piece that is easily removed but I cannot find this online as a replaceable part. Any ideas? Thanks.
Sometimes mine is hard to pull and it’s not because grass is gummed up on the inside around the blade. Any suggestion?

I'm working on a snapper Mrp216014. Holy deal I was having a kill switch problem. I'm on the side of mower just about to use a screw driver to ground out switch. The mower self propel kicked in and took off down my lawn. I just spent 100.00 on new drive parts. I wasn't even touching the mower. It would make a great video. Scared me to death

Opposite problem. My drive won't disengage. i loosened then completely disconnected the spring and it still takes off. please advise. thanks
I have noticed that with no 00 grease in the transmission that happens--ruined. For some reason with new seals the new replacement transmission still leaks excessive amounts of grease. The replacement from the shop had no grease in it. I have tried silicon spray for better results--it helps some.
I inspect the level at two hour intervals now.
Why would U tighten that more if the wheels where spinning to begin with ? Are they still good lawnmowers vs other brands fir home use, but commercial grade ?

yes, it only has one wheel that pulls when it breaks traction

Hey I replaced that belt that you just ajusted with new rotary belt, cut one small yard and all the grooves in the center of the belt were gone. What would cause that to happen. Thanks Leec

Love the OSHA approved bath towel and duct tape job. A thousand dollar mower operated this way is disappointing.
actually a good thing, allows adjustment as belt wears, instead of having to buy new belt, lets you get way more out of a belt than normal. JUst have to remember when you do put a new belt to back that spring off some
I have a commercial 21" snapper, 1 year old, garage kept. Less than 10rs on it. Cut about 15 mins. Today and just died. Put new plug, nothing. No spark, any help would be appreciated.

Are you using fresh gas? After about 4 months, gas ages and it's best to drain tank and start with fresh gas.
Sounds like a bad coil
