I have a 1995 Snapper 21” commercial “Hy-Vac” self propelled, electric start mower. Best mower EVER! I replaced the 6.5 hp Briggs engine about 8 years ago. It began smoking and losing power. I quit putting $80 batteries in it several years ago and just pull-start. Best cutting (I bag everything), best drive system and best deck. And every time I take it in to my mower repair shop for maintenance they all try to buy it from me. “You can’t buy them like this anymore!”

One of the snapper mower you showed with the flare deck does not work that great. Had one and it did a very bad job. Get the high vac it just does a better job.

I just bought a brand new Snapper 7800891, which is basically a commercial grade machine without the high price. I love it. It has replaced my lead sled Honda Hrr216 VLA which I have had for 4 years. The first year I had the Honda it was pretty good but the last three have been a nightmare pushing that boat anchor around the yard. The engine on the Honda is fine but the drive components, suck.

The Honda engines SUCK. The so called Commercial grade GXV is only 160cc's, as in ZERO engine torque. They only make 4 ft lbs of torque people. They don't bag well either.

@@jimdavidson5208 never had ant issues with the Honda engine on my mower. Plenty of power. Briggs and statton is junk.

Snapper mowers are crap, at least the one I bought is, bought it brand new, mowed the grass with it three times and it's going back in the shop for the third time tomorrow, it just won't start.

Yeah.. that can happen.. weird things can wrong with any machine. If it keeps having issues, contact Snapper support and they might be able to replace it if it is a problem machine.
