Really like the attention to detail. You cut the bolt out and replaced it with the correct carriage bolt! 🇺🇸🦅🔧🤙🏻

I got a craftsman riding mower for 20 bucks and a Stihl edger for 11 bucks also. I was determined to get that belt on. I got home and was so excited to get belt on I started like at 9:30 at night I stopped about 11pm. Thanks for your support.

Great short cut. You did yourself a big favor leaving the rusted pulley nut or bolt alone. Good video my friend!

Ya, because I believe it's all one drive disk with a stud built in, I could be wrong. I seen that little opening. I was in business. Thanks for your support.

Have essentially identical mower. Good job getting belt replaced. I have taken the drive plate disc off. Might look into doing that anyway. I repacked grease in there. It does have a stud built into the disc. Alignment putting it back on is important. Square notch it has to go in. End of the threaded shaft has a slot to help align. Also the blade drive hub comes off of engine shaft you will need a puller to get that off - I did. Sucker was not coming off. Tried heat and hammer. Nothing worked. That I believe would allow you to get belt over the shaft w/o messing with engine bolts. Great job doing what you have to do to get the job done!

Ya it was a challenge. Putting in the bolt with the nut on top should help out next time. Thank you for your support.

I wonder.... instead of removing the engine mount bolts so you can move the engine closer to the drive pulley to get the new belt on, could you instead loosen the set screw on the pulley that's on the bottom of the crank (that the blade bolts to also) and just drop it down enough to get the new belt around the pulley, then slide it back up and retighten the set screw?

      Hey thanks for the comment.
Around 1:50 in the video I talk about the rusted bolts that holds the pully on.
14:34 I point out the rusted bolt.
Yes, I did cut one bolt off the shield that was upside down. I didn't want to risk cutting the other one off. I did find an alternative way to do it. If anyone has the same problem, I hope this helps.
But under normal circumstances, you would just remove the bolt. To the pully.
Thanks for your support watch my other videos help me out. Love the comments. Don't forget a thumbs up.
