    I had this exact year CR 80. I bought it new in 1985. Good to see this one in excellent condition after so many years. I really enjoyed riding mine. I hope you have as much fun on it as I did. 👍

      Dj Ray. It took a lot to get this bike where it is now. What I love most is the power band, it’s amazing on these older bikes. So much torque and speed you get it’s so worth it. It’s a blast and I’m definitely keeping it.

      I had the 84 model new. We paid $950 for it new!! I wish I bought two and put one in storage.

    Great job on everything here young man! Detailing what you did in a straight ahead no nonsense way, shooting the video, starting with care. You're miles ahead of other kids your age! I had this exact bike brand new in 1985. LOVED IT! Absolutely blew away the YZ80's I was riding for years prior. Night and day better bike.

    Wooow man! I haven't heard the glorious sound from the CR 80 in many years. The 85 was my best friend growing up. It looks and sounds killer! Brought back a lot of memories. Thought it was funny that a previous comment said "Should have torn that lawn up". Cuz It was the first thing I thought when you shifted into 1st gear. "Scratch the Earth!" as we use to say. Ha. That thing is a gem man. Killer job on it!

    I think they government took 2 strokes away because we had too much fun with them. You know how it goes, all the fun stuff gets taken away.

    Good job lad did u restore the parts yourself? I'm on doing a same bike now👍

    • @jakeyfz3078
      @jakeyfz3078  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I restored most of the parts on the bike. The hardest thing was finding new oem spokes for it. Most of the mechanical parts are new. I rebuilt the top end on it myself. All of it was super easy to do. Thanks I bet yours will come out cleaner than mine haha.
