    If you boil the flaxseed, all valuable oils will be ruined. Instead, use freshly ground flaxseed and mix it with water or juice without exposing it to excessive heat. Even better, if you mix it with chia seeds.The rest of the information is correct.

    Pre grinding seeds is easier then chewing to help with motility. Some people may not chew softened whole seeds enough so they’ll just pass thru with little benefit. Safer with some who have swallowing issues.

    Since centuries the optimal manner to overcome not only occasional constipation but chronic constipation too will be taking castor oil. Remember that castor oil is the only laxative that will not work in the intestines by irritating them, but by activating and synthesizing certain substances in the human body. So any habituation of the human body or diminishing laxative effect is absolutely impossible and castor oil is suitable in a special manner for chronic constipation. Take 1 tablespoon (= 15 ml) castor oil early in the morning on an empty stomach and 1 to 2 hours later you will remark its relieving effects.

      There are a variety of products sold in the name of milk today. I personally felt that I was able to digest full fat whole milk better than the variants like double toned , low fat and UHT processed milk. I also prefer A2 milk , which is a milk from indegenous breeds of cows from Asian and Some African countries where dairy had been a part of life since senturies.

    Ayurveda suggests eating overnight soaked munakka (dried black grapes) half hour after the morning warm water. Ripe papaya is also excellent. Apples and bananas though good as fruits are not very good for constipation. But if one must have bananas they should be eaten along with fresh home made curd this is an excellent pre and prebiotic mix.

      @@HappyBellyfish I find this channels contents on the spot in that the food/remedies are very simple while trying to focus on a certain problem without being too scientific/overwhelming. Simple lifestyle changes and healthy food incorporation goes a long way. Ofcourse this particular topic of constipation has its roots in bad food choices in most cases compounded by either lot of stress or non active lifestyle. But people should realize that different parts of the digestive system might lead to the problem as well like low stomach acid bad bile quality lack of digestive enzymes bad gut flora etc. Taking laxatives is a temporary solution the root cause needs to be addressed.

    • @HappyBellyfish
      @HappyBellyfish  ปีที่แล้ว

      It can be taken with warm milk to work as a bulk laxative or with water. For one cup of warm milk/water , one to two tsp of psyllium husk ( for adults ) is added. Additionally 1/2 tsp of ground fennel seeds or 1/2 tsp of dry ginger powder can be added to improve digestion. Psyllium is used as a bulk laxative and it can suppress digestion so it is not recommended to be taken everyday.
