Gen5Diy has the same one’s for $300 and you don’t gotta do all that wiring. It’s just a harness you plug into the headlight and the fog lights come on with your headlights and with better bulbs
This has to be the sloppiest nonprofessional install I have seen in my life. Relay upside down held in with a push pin. Spaghetti wires everywhere ran across the engine with no care. Fire hazard waiting to happen. I’m ashamed I even watched this video.
Your installation is incorrect and actually dangerous. You have run a wire directly from the battery, through the firewall, and to a switch. This then runs both to a ground and back through the firewall to a relay. If you are wiring in this fashion, you need to have a fuse on that wire. Surely the manufacturer of these lights intended a different installation. (A set I received for my truck recommends pulling switch power from a fused source inside the cab; this also means that only one wire has to run through the firewall.)
Installed a very similar kit and everything works fine. Only thing is the red indicator light on the light switch stays on all the time. The fog lights themselves aren’t on, but when you turn the car off the fog light switch stays on. Is this normal?
Trust me,trust me, trust me if you’re going to do this please do yourself and favor and go get the Gen5DIY harness kit. This is the worst way to wire it and worst set up of the lights Made. 0/10 would never recommend.
$242 for these seems excessive. You can find the same exact ones on eBay for under $100 with the same harness.

I was thinking the same thing!!
It was an example of the way the plugs go. Your to set up how you want your wiring to look

That’s what I was thinking… that wire is hot at all times coming into the cab. Not exactly something you want to have!
I was thinking that as well.
What was the need for the yellow one and where does it go to on? You lost me there

Seems like a waste since these guys never respond to any posts.....
