That's why said before with your problems listen to doctors! I'm 49 now and will go as long as can. Know you love a kayak, maybe get a heated seat or cushion? Tight lines right. Ty tc

The connector you plugged into the headlight harness, is it the one that plugs directly into the headlight or is there another connector that supplies power to that harness assembly in the bulb or the housing below that you plug into? Thank you
When you hook up to your distribution box with the red wire, run this wire behind the other wires going to the distribution box. This will look cleaner. Just a suggestion. Awesome clip bro I’m going to do this to my truck . Thank you so much.

Bought my 2019 Silverado Custom in early August, had been wondering how I was gonna add fog lights to it. Found the shop chevy web site, made for my truck.... and without having to have the dealer flash the ECM... BINGO!. Now to order and install. Had Rigid Industries installed in my last truck, a Tundra, loved those... nice and bright!! Thanks for the E-Z to video!

Do they just run all the time then? I went with the dealer install, and my kit came with a toggle button for inside the cab that integrated into the cluster to left of steering wheel.
Did you call GM for a reprogram code? I don’t know why I have to reprogram computer for fog lamps. But I received a different harness that has to be plugged into the fuse box. But anyways that didn’t go well now only have the fog lamps install with the headlights but no power. So if I put the wire directly to battery fog lamps turn on but I can’t shut them off. Any idea what I can do? Thanks should I splice it to the headlight harness power?
I just picked up a Custom Trail Boss, but I believe that I'll be getting the light and wiring package 250507 right from 5th gen. I want the separate switch to operate the lamps independently.
@@FishinwithGRAMPS In researching a little further, I'm just going to get the wiring from 5th Gen, and the lights from EBay. 5th Gen uses the exact same lights in their aftermarket package as the Ebay package. Going this route I can save about $100.
I had the dealer install my fog lamps today but they gave me number to GM tech support so that they can re-program my computer to read the lamps...How did you bypass that process.??? Thanks

Hello! At 3:40 was that the actual connector from the truck assembly or just the end of the connector that came with the harness because you mention at 4:20 that's the one that came out of the truck. You only needed to connect to 1 of the light harness correct?
good question, that is actually the one from the harness I got from Gen5DIY, but I was referring to the one from the truck that was a pain in the ass to remove from the headlight.

Your way is $360 plus shipping , the time to install and they are wired always on (driving lights not fog lights) vs the dealers $500 installed with the option to turn them on/off. Sorry but this is not a DIY with any value to it.

The harness I chose has them come on with the headlights and also stay on with the highbeams. There are a couple of options you can pick chose from Gen5DIY, link in the video description.

I just installed mine but I added a small in-line fuse before wiring it to the battery!!! I would recommend adding an in-line fuse.

i didn't use the GM harness, i used the GEN5DIY harness. It plugs into one headlight and the fog lights

To disconnect the headlight wiring harness did you go from under the hood or from the wheel well? I'm having a very hard to getting it out
from the wheel well, that was the hardest part of the whole installation.
