Actually if you look at 6:39 his lightsaber looks almost like the one he wields in Rebels. He uses it as a cane when he meets Ezra and continues to utilize it even though he is able to fight proper.

PLEASE lobby Lucasfilm to make a movie of it. The story is short enough to be able to be translated well into screenplay, doesn't ruin canon in any way, and makes Maul a surprisingly... human character that would give interesting depth to future movies he could be in if illustrated in his own film
Real fans would have noticed all sorts of references from both Legends and Canon right away, like Teras Kasi for example. What I like about Solo is that it recanonized many Legends materials. Unlike JJ Abrams and Rian Johnson, the makers of Solo are actually knowledgeable in Star Wars lore.

Mail, they had their chance with Kylo Ren in Last Jedi but they didn't make him stand out to other villains in Star Wars. And the Knights haven't been seen since Ep 7 and weren't referenced at all in Ep 8. If they showed something good about the Knights in Ep 8 I would have been more excited. No, Maul is the one I'm looking forward to the most and he can be turned into a powerful and menacing villain whilst the Knights won't be because their leader is Kylo Ren so they won't be as powerful as him therefore won't be as good as Maul. Some people are saying that they might change Rebels. There is no way. People would be pissed. Also it would cause so many other plot holes with what happens with Rebels and that effects the books which would make half of the stuff non canon and extremely convoluted. They would never do that.
Well no one thought they would ditch most of Star Wars content from canon either, but this is Disney we are talking about, they have no loyalty to the Star Wars universe or it's fans and are only interested in how much money they can squeeze from the franchise. Well, its most likely that the shaft Maul fell down was not as far of a fall that Mace Windu fell.

Grievous is a coward who had zero skill and had to rely on others and cheap tricks to win.
Actually if you look at 6:39 his lightsaber looks almost like the one he wields in Rebels. He uses it as a cane when he meets Ezra and continues to utilize it even though he is able to fight proper.
I love fact that Clone Wars stories starts to be mixed into Movies, and Maul was a great addition to this movie

1) Vos' markings are not paint, they are his skin, he is "near-human" according to the Solo visual guide.
2) They won't overwrite Rebels or the Clone Wars because those are fundamentally canon (and they're fantastic series...go watch them)

In 2012, writer Ryder Windham wrote a 200 page book with Lucasfilm and Scholastic (really shorter than 200, it had large font) covering the childhood and growth of Darth Maul leading up to the events of the Phantom Menace. It was titled The Wrath of Maul, and is the entire reason why Maul is my favourite Star Wars character. His arc is this book is deeper and better written than most in the modern movies, and perfectly illustrates how he grew to have the character traits and convictions he has in the movies and animated series. PLEASE lobby Lucasfilm to make a movie of it. The story is short enough to be able to be translated well into screenplay, doesn't ruin canon in any way, and makes Maul a surprisingly... human character that would give interesting depth to future movies he could be in if illustrated in his own film

Real fans would have noticed all sorts of references from both Legends and Canon right away, like Teras Kasi for example.
What I like about Solo is that it recanonized many Legends materials. Unlike JJ Abrams and Rian Johnson, the makers of Solo are actually knowledgeable in Star Wars lore.
Sooo your definition of a real fan = watched some cartoon? I have read almost all of the now defunct Expanded Universe and consider myself a "real fan". But I needed the explanation cause I never watched Rebels or Clone Wars.

Mail, they had their chance with Kylo Ren in Last Jedi but they didn't make him stand out to other villains in Star Wars. And the Knights haven't been seen since Ep 7 and weren't referenced at all in Ep 8. If they showed something good about the Knights in Ep 8 I would have been more excited. No, Maul is the one I'm looking forward to the most and he can be turned into a powerful and menacing villain whilst the Knights won't be because their leader is Kylo Ren so they won't be as powerful as him therefore won't be as good as Maul. Does anyone agree or disagree I'd love to hear other people's opinions?

Some people are saying that they might change Rebels. There is no way. People would be pissed. Also it would cause so many other plot holes with what happens with Rebels and that effects the books which would make half of the stuff non canon and extremely convoluted. They would never do that.
Well no one thought they would ditch most of Star Wars content from canon either, but this is Disney we are talking about, they have no loyalty to the Star Wars universe or it's fans and are only interested in how much money they can squeeze from the franchise.
Maybe if Fans hadn't made Lucas's life miserable this wouldn't have happened. Oh well, what's done is done, now we live with the consequences.

A lot more exciting even though kylo ren is experienced with a crossgaurd saber he just has a tantrum when he doesn’t get his own way where as with Maul he doesn’t back down and he focuses on getting revenge when he loses and also his unique style of duelling with a dual lightsaber makes him more interesting
