I would love to see Magnus Midtbo or Devon Larratt give it a try
thumbs up for Magnus, it's the guy I hoped to see in this video
i was thinking of Devon Larratt too
magnus probably level 4, devon level 5.
Literally was gonna say Magnus his grip strength is crazy
I wanna see Odd Haugen do it.
He's 73 and has world records and one of the strongest grip strengths in the world.
I would love to see Levan, Denis and Devon try it since they have best grips in the arm wrestling world.
for sure
we need Devon Larratt
Or David Shamey he have 1 of the best grips
Devon doesn't hold on? Does he
Devon did level 4 (250 pounds )
@@rafista3607 Devon needs to retire
I've doing calisthenics off and on again since I first found your videos along with some other channels and I just realized that I can now do a single-leg squat on both legs and am very close to doing a single-arm pull-up and a single-arm pushup with both arms. You guys always kept me motivated with your challenges and your light-hearted approach to fitness. Thank you for everything you guys do, y'all are awesome!
single arm pull ups is really crazy apart from all of that
Damn Sawyer really just beat Jamal? What a beast. Even seemed to struggle less with lvl 5 than Luke and Tom
"you think you're strong?"
"a little above average"
lol
yea grip strength doesn't really have to do with size
they just dont know the right technique..my grip is worse than theirs and could close level 6
@@powerzone7146 I hope to god you’re being sarcastic😂😂
@@peterlustig8661Fr tho, he said that then breezed through 1-5
Brian Shaw has insane grip compared to other strongmen. He could 100% close the 6th.
Yes True. And also do you know Jujimufu? He is not a competitor, but he is kind of a challenge accomplisher guy in the same field.
Definitely with ease 😊
Yes i seen his grip strength its insane

This video was really fun to watch! Thanks for posting.
I use them for grip training rn. Repping 3's for 2 sets and then moving on to 4's with less reps. Works like a charm
I'd like to see Devon Larratt (Canadian arm wrestler), Mark Felix, or maybe even Magnus Samuelsson give it a go.
maybe he could do it, i have hope
Let Vitaly laletin do it
Lvl 6 grip was Chimpanzees level grip strength lol
Allan fisher
Devon Larratt closed a 2.5 COC gripper on juji mufu's channel before which is 237lbs, Mark Felix doesn't do these because he said he's hands are too big for them to be comfortable and Magnus Samuelsson is the last person to close the COC 4 gripper officially which is 365lbs. Only Magnus Samuelsson can close the number 6 gripper in this video which is 300lbs.
Browney motivating the whole world to train..including old man like me at 52!!!!
Wow! my dad is 51 almost same age as you
Can't wait to test it to Mark Felix (the strongest grip ever)
Keep training man! I believe in you! All the best
Odd haugen is like 74 and his grip is like the top 50 or so in the world. Strong asf in everything else too
Grip strength is totally different to other exercises as it relies heavily on the tendons. You can't work your way up the same way you can with, for example, squats. You need to go for 1RM at the start, or you won't hit it that day.
Also - these aren't captains of crush, so you can knock about 30-40lbs off these imitations. These cheap ones are the reason there's little resistance until you get to the last 2-3cm. Captains of crush grippers are consistent across the whole range of motion.
The "average strenght" guy,did the level 5 pretty easy, even moved the level 6. :)
Would love to see Brian Shaw try this, that guy loves grip challenges
I doubt he hasn't tried council of crush yet
He would def get it
I believe he has making him and samuelsson the only 2 men to have completed it I may need a fact check but I'm not sure
It is also about hand-seize. With bigger hand you can grip the gripper further from the spring, which gives you a longer lever and reduces the resistance of the spring.
That’s cheating you have to hold them in the whole hand
🤣🤣
The reason why he could almost close level six but struggled on lvl 4 was because of the leverage. It’s easier to close it at the beginning than at the end
This is one the best videos I've seen on this channel.
Def wanna see Magnus Midtbo & Larry wheels trying it.
It would be epic to see them do this
Or Odd Haugen
I've seen Larry do stuff with grippers on his channel before
Larry will easily close the 5 and be really close on 6(300)
Larry has done grippers before. It would be interesting if he redid this video with king of crush grippers
i definitely would love to see either brian shaw or magnus mitbo try this. also keep up the great work!!
Wwe braun strowman
I'd say
he will smash it i guess

Let Levan, Denis and Larrat do it pretty sure they will close the 6 level.
no fucking way haha

Levan for sure
Im sure most arm wrestlers can
Vitaly 💯
Would love to see Brian Shaw do this 🔥

🔥
Brian Shaw and his friend Eddie Hall could definitely do it. Both of them have very large hands. But both of them have done something equally impressive.
There was a show called the strongest man in history with those two on it. In one of the episodes, Brian and Eddie matched up 45lb plates face-to-face, and pick them up off the ground with one hand.
@@craigwheeler4760 That is more pinch grip whereas this is more crushing grip. Brian Shaw can easily do a COC 3 gripper tho with no warm up which is 280lbs and the number 6 gripper in the video is 300lbs.
@@ronnana694 the technique described for picking up the heavy dumbbell here was pinching it with your fingers, so I think both those guys would have it easy.
Regardless, they're both gigantic men with big hands and that is one of the prerequisites for being good at this.

Love all the crazy challenges you come up with Browney
While others are commenting about who they want to see trying it, I would like to see how many levels can you & Arjen do as well!
This challenge is a piece of cake for Brian Shaw...🏋🏋💪💪💪💪
Yea probably he trains grip all the time 😂
Totally and 100% true!
yeah probably. i remember he tested at a ufc test centre and measured at 160kg grip strenght. lvl 6 was 135kg
What aboutflxskytv
@@Nillix1 Its not just about the measured resistance. Its about being strong in specific grip positions. Some grippers will be harder than others. Captain of Crush is the gold standard i would say, but those also have different versions. The fat ones with same resistance as the smaller ones will be much easier simply because of less range of motion and the hand being stronger in the closing position of the fat one.
9:14 that's a growth mindset right there 🔥
You need to get brian shaw to try it , he has possibly the best grip strength around
You should totally have armwrestlers try it!!! Larry Wheels would be great at it I'm sure! Also people like Brandon Williams, Chris Heria, Magnus Mitdbo, etc!!
None of them can beat level 6. Don't waste our time.
Magnus ka can do level 5 I think
Larry wheels we need to see
@markwagner3445 Larry wheels tired to shut a CoC 4 and failed he's admittedly said his grip is horrible
@@bradsmith7812 and? coc 4 is WAY harder than these grippers in video
Give this man some respect
You need to go to the people who litterly focus their training on pure upperbody and arms, namely armwrestlers. Vitaly Laletin is known for top tier grip and many other top level armwrestler have amazing grip power, so that is where you need to go next.
lvl 6 is warm up for brian

Don’t sleep on my man Sawyer! He made that look easy until the last one
@sawyer_klatt
Wow. This is super encouraging. I have these exact grip strength tests at my desk. I can do 150lbs pretty easily and have done 200lbs a couple of times. I'm 5'7", 160lbs, and I only lifted for about 8 months (about 2 times per week, 45 mins per session). I'm sitting here popping level 3 open and closed, clicking the ends together like it's almost nothing... lol... Genetics or just lucky to have good grip strength? I haven't been to the gym in 6 months...
bro same I am 18 pretty strong but gone to gym maybe 10 times in my life yet I do 200 easy and almost 250 even though I nerver trained for that
I've done 200 pretty consistently for a few years now, I also have them at my desk. I can close 250, but it's still very inconsistent.
@@Radvous That's solid! Apparently grip strength is one of those things you can train at your whole life and not get worse with age. So keep training!
After 10 months of very consistent training, I can close a 250 lbs gripper. I'm within 1 inch of closing the 300 lbs version, but mine aren't CoC, so those would likely be more difficult. I'm aiming to close the CoC 4 one day. Perhaps in a few years, if I'm able to keep on training regularly.
Proof that David liad is not overrated
That last little bit is a killer, you feel like you're so close yet it refuses to move!
Captain of Crush has a set that I like to use. "Let me hear 'em click!"
Davon laratt or brian shaw would be my best guesses. Brian has INSANE grip strength as showcased many times with his homegym grip gauntlets and davon laratt is just an absolute machine due to his specialised training for arm wrestling.
Other worthy mentions is Mark felix, or the likes of pro boulderes or climbers. Magnus midtbo would love this.
Levan is a good option as well.
Brian Shaw and Magnus Midtbo are definitely up for this challenge.
Strongest grip in arm wrestling world are not devon, Khaled, levan and denis are the top level
Anatoly : Can i grip here?. Give hime 6th level😂
9:14 am buying this and train 🤣🤣 he set his life goal to grip
I really like grip strength kind of stuff. I know how simple it is but it's great.
Joe Kinney, Nathan Holle, David Morton, and Tommy Heslep, they all officially closed #4 Captain of crush grippers, which are above 300 lbs
(I don't know if they would be likely to say yes, but you can always ask)
Don't forget Magnus Samuelsson
If I recall right, CoC 4 is 365 lbs. I think Richard Sorin also closed it, but may have not been official.
Brian Shaw that man’s beyond human grip strength I believe he can beat if
Im gonna train forearms the next 10 years on all the gear in the world. Just to beat that lvl 6!
Whaou Nice Thumbnail and edit !!
would love to see Anton Fomenko and Magnus Midtbo try that
Bjorn, Magnus, Brian and Devon... one of these 4 will surely do it
. I believe the distance from bar to bar of the grip is greater with the tougher ones, thats why Julian was able to move the 6th because he has long fingers (its better suited for his pawm).
i love your vids keep up the good work
Thanks Stan for your amazing content you have inspired me so much I have even started working out myself
Edit: Thanks for liking and pinning my comment
I love this content! Super wholesome and makes you wanna go out and workout 🏋🏻
I can close level 5, but far from lifting Thomas Inch dumbbell, my hands are too small for that, point proven. You do need good beyond average grip to lift the db, but with small hands it won't happen.
9:53 bruh, hella respect for this dude. He can easily walk down the street with a hoodie on, and if a street fight were to ever occur, this dude is gonna make them regret it for sure.

Those circus dumbells are incredible for a challenge! Those grippers must have been part of a truck suspension or something like that!
I would give it to some climbers - they use a lot of grip strenght, Adam Ondra, for example
I literally started working out when i was 9-10 because i saw your videos and i am making mad progress
Dang you must be mad young
You have to get Mark Felix to do this. He has some of the best grip amongst the strongmen.
Great call!
@@DylanFowler Ok I will call you!
Mark made a video saying they are too small for his hands so he doesn't do grippers
feels good being able to close that 300lb at 15 years old
You need to have rock climbers EXCLUSIVELY try these out. I'm willing to bet a champion rock climber has the best shot.
Interestingly, grip strength seems to improve with age beyond the point when other muscles decline. Mark Felix just retired from strongman aged fifty-something and was breaking the record for the hercules hold all the way until last year so if he can't beat it I'd be surprised.
David Laid is my kinda guy. The honesty level is off the charts. True defenition of only caring about the truth for himself.

wtf you on abt? XD@@Dumbmoviereviews
huh?????? are you high?@@Dumbmoviereviews
If you don't mind my saying, the thing with these grip strengtheners is that the angle to be closed is too wide and it takes knowledge of how to hold the gripper to best close it. It doesn't demonstrate greater grip strength to make the ends touch; it is purely a matter of technique. I use a 150 lb one made in China and it has a nice rubberized cushion so that the ends meet. For purposes of strengthening my grip, I am just fine with it. I don't need to become a collaborator with the COC economic machine or whichever producer is the latest one. Actually, I have an old gripper that has wooden handles and 4 springs to close. It is impossible for anyone to close the 4, so it is good for a lifetime.
Denis Cyplenkov breaks nuts with ease with his giant fingers. He can easily do level 6
Mark Felix. Probably the most insane grip strength ive ever seen.

The most I've done was 174lbs on a digital grip strength thingy. It was an odd device but they said it was accurate. Idk.
You should try 30 days sit ups challenge
Hand size definitely has a lot to do with how much you can grip. The champion who couldn't pull number 4, but could nearly pull 6 shows this. He does have the grip strength to crush 100kgs, the device just needs to be smaller :D
precisely the range of motion and the v shape really makes it harder if you don't have big hands, especially since it can twist in your hand so you have to stabilize it.
If ur talking about that guy, who lifted dumbbell - then gripper should be bigger, because his hand is too big(but its super important for lifting wide dumbbells). Also u can see that Mark Felix have this problem with grippers too.
These things have a whole following, certificates and rules. Which state you're allowed to assist with the other hand until it's comfortably in your palm and fingers, then you close the last bit with one hand. Gives them small hands a fair chance!
That’s true but for grippers it doesn’t matter as much. My hand is like 7.4 in across. A little below avg and I can hit a 2 coc right now still increasing . Can farmers carry 225 lb in each hand too
I would love to try these, my grip is rather strong compared to my other lifts and I'd like to have one to improve my grip strength at home, I however have no clue which level I'd need for proper practice.
try magnus mitbo climbers have crazy grip strength
I've used those since I was 13 , 40 years ago. I can do them all even the chain grippers . I don't have big hands but they're as big as they can get and still play the guitar
no u cant bruh
Let Levan, Denis and Devon try level 6 I'm pretty sure they can do it.
There is a small chance that Levan and Denis might be able to do it, however I know for a fact Devon wouldn't be able to do it. He did a video with Jujimufu and he was able to close a Captains of Crush 2.5, which is rated at 237 pounds, not even close to 300 pounds. The type of grip strength for arm wrestling is different to that of pure crushing strength. Brian Shaw could probably close it, and I am surprised no one has mentioned Khaled from Larry Wheel's channel, who closed a Captains of Crush 3.5 which is rated at 322 pounds.
@nuttyfoodiefitness had to stop me from buying the whole set after this 😂

Hey Browney, my name is Nathan Bennett and I am 83 lbs as a 13 year old trying to bulk and get bigger and stronger and be confident. You are the reason I want to do this, so thanks ❤

I am also 13 year old my height is 5.10 feet
My weight is 124lbs

Those guys holding up upside down 😂
The golden grippers are no name grippers, they should be easier to close than real grippers(CoC for example). It's a bit strange that not even the Stoltman brothers could close the 6, but maybe grippers are more of a specialised strength than I thought.
I got myself cheap grippers from amazon, 150lbs to 250 lbs. Took a few weeks of training to close the 250lbs one, then I bought a CoC 2.5 which is 237.5lbs. Felt much harder and I couldn't close it. I wanna close a CoC 3 some day, but I got lazy with the gripper training.
Yeah, grippers require a rudimentary level of technique in order to apply ones grip output to the gripper. These grippers are off-hand, similar to heavy grips and grip genie. If it starts at 50lbs then the last gripper would be similar to the COC 3 but easier because it'd narrower, as all the levels are compared to captains of crush. COC grippers are harder lb for lb then these grippers for sure. The Stoltman Brothers with a few weeks training can close the last level easily. They are some of the strongest guys on the planet and although closing the level 6 is impressive many men (regular strong guys) who train can close the level 6. Closing grippers isn't easy! And you can never predict ones grip strength by how they look as grip strength is determined a lot by ones history using their hands. Ive said this many times, Even a young teen who worked at his dad's mechanic shop breaking g rusty lug nuts all day will have a huge head start regarding grip output vs even a guy training traditionally at the gym. Not everyone can close big grippers but if you train hard and dedicated and if you are somewhat blessed with the strength bug you may be able to close level 6 with a narrower set within a few years. Levels above the 6 which would be 3.5 coc etc is a bit of a different level. The stoltman bros with a good year + training would get there too. They are proven to just have all around strength at the elite level all around. Very technique based and a great sport.
10:20 surprised me, he's very strong
I can guarantee you the strongman Brian Shaw would smash these. He has mad countless grip strength videos and I'm sure he could give these grippers a run for their money
Jamal has unreal grip strength. Dude did 1100lb deadlift without straps hook grip
