- In this video we will show you how to rebuild the Case Ingersoll RM model mower decks under 60 inches. These are the right hand discharge decks found on all 3000 and 4000 series tractors as well as similar to some other model mower decks.

Wow awesome video. I learned a lot from it. Is this type of rebuild something you do on all the tractors you sell?
Thanks, it all depends how bad the deck is, if it just needs bearings or everything new. Lots of decks are in working condition and we do not do much to them when selling with tractors. Many we put bearings in. Some we sell as is. It all depends. We also rebuild many decks for customers as a service and also sell rebuilt mower decks by themselves. It's nice to see more case ingersoll videos. I do take shots of a lot of what I do but just for my own reference. I wish I had more time to share. Save your knuckles and possibly eyes on the next deck rebuild..... Try mounting the tension spring first, then get your belt laying in place except for the right hand spindle pulley..... then simply rotate the belt over the pulley as you turn the blades. (must be propped up off the bench so that it may spin freely. Alternatively, use your half inch breaker bar in the square hole on the tensioner bracket to tension the spring while installing your belt. Much easier, not to mention safer. Keep the videos coming!

We like to show different ways of doing things, especially if the videos are similar subjects. But probably should have done this way second lol. In the other video we show it similar as to how you do it lol. We have lots of footage waiting to be edited, the time is the issue and it takes tons of time lol. @@caseingersolltractorsnortheast What is the chance of getting a RM deck to fit & spin on a 444 which is left handed. Need it for right side mounting Leaf Vac. possibly just put a twist in drive belt ! -
@@staciehusen not really a good way to make it happen that will perform or not chew belts.. Would be better to get a left side vac.
Great video. I do have an older left hand exit mowing deck. 48” it’s on a 1975 Case 224 so I believe it came with the tractor. I’m not sure on the model number of the deck. But I would like to see a video on those.

Anti-Seize instead of WD-40 Would probably be better about keeping your threads from rusting or protecting them as you say.
Hi we use anti seize often in situations where we feel it's the best choice. Buy here we do not feel it's the best choice for mating surfaces. It would take a fair amount of it and time to apply. Being so thick it could possibly create voids and unevenness, where moisture, dust and debris could get in and stick to anti seize. May be fine 9 out of 10 times but possible it could creat issues. Like the video said point is to use something, whatever you have is better than nothing. We often use old motor oil for the mating surfaces, but the spray was quick and easy for the video. If one wanted to use all that anti seize and take the time to level it and clean up extra mess so nothing sticks to it when mowing, then it could be used. But it's just not our choice here nore want the customer paying shop rate on any unnecessary time. That's just why we choose not to in this situation. But thanks for watching and the comment and suggestion. We always like to hear suggestions or how others do things and your suggestion others may find very useful and go with it. Just wanted to explain why we choose not to use it, but not saying it's not a option. And yes its a good choice for threads in many situations. Have a good one.
