Looks like a great, heavy duty upgrade. I like the points you made about the length, chamfer and stainless steel.

I like your welded kit idea. After the pin is installed, then it is especially important to keep grease between those plates and the axle. You don't want to wear down the axle. The plates can even be replaced cheaper than the axle.

Thanks. Yes grease is key, we added fittings to the collars on the ends too. More grease points lol. Thanks for watching and the comment.

What is the point of the set screws on the weld on collars?

Hi Ryan, i recognized one tractor on this video haha. Great video and very informal. I think the pin on my tractor is stainless, should i replace it ?. Eric with the 4016/18.

Lol hey bud! Ya I think yours was here getting fixed if I remember lol. As far as replacing that is up to you, the biggest thing I would ask is there play in the axle? If not then I would say not a "need" at that point sine you spent money on it. If there is play and wont tighten then you could if you felt better. Thanks for watching buddy hope all is well!

@@caseingersolltractorsnortheastWelcome. No play what so ever, actually had to adjust the bolt tightness to give the axle less resistance as i had it too tight at first. Happy Holidays to you both.
      Thanks for the fast reply.

I like the idea of the weld on one. I will have to look thou to see about belt clearance with the snow caster on. What is the OD of the bushings you are using ?
I have repaired the holes and slots on mules and aways weld in as big of bushings as I can to spread the load, even if it is just a couple 1/8" washers to ride on the Snap Fast spring loaded pins.

Hi MrGordy first thanks again for watching and the support its truly appreciated as are the comments! Off the top of my head I think they are 2.25" if different I will get back to you on that. Yes we are the same way the more load bearing surface the better and we do the same on the mules. Many folks do not realize how much some play on the mules effects the cut quality and lifting and lower ranges as well as fore and aft moment of deck and carriage.
