The best how to on Case Ingersoll clutch rebuild on The Tube. Explaining the reason behind the engineering helped me. I rebuilt my 448 clutch stronger than it ever was. My snow caster throws with impact now. And my mow deck will be stronger this summer. You rock.

Excellent video. I have a pair of 1971 Case 220's. I know they have never had the PTO repaired to that level of precision. One of the best toolboxes I've ever seen.

    I got very lucky.
I bought his parts and my mechanics did very well at a very fair price.
Now my doctors say no mowing for me so.......
If it's snow blower time I'm going inside.
    Maybe a genset?
At least the screaming is gone !

I have a Case 155, the basic deal. This video will prove to be solid GOLD when I put it back together. I love these old, made in the USA machines. Thank you ever so much!

Hi Thanks for watching and the comment and we are glad to help. But the 155 is much older and will have a different clutch system.

@@caseingersolltractorsnortheast Do you by any chance have a video on the 155 pto clutch? It has many of the same parts. I know few are interested in them, though. I can't find a good drawing of the clutch system.

@david9783 no sorry. Just not a popular topic on that machine as not many in use anymore and we have a very big list of videos we need to make. Thanks

I just finished adjusting clutch exactly the way you said, works better now ,than it ever has before,House just the proper “feel” to it ,so that it is not too heavily engaged, nor too lightly engaged , so that it pops out of engagement. Thank you for helping me to see the engineer ring of how the two nuts work together. Excellent ,excellent verbal explanation of everything that you did. Thank you very much

Thank you so much for a very very great video. Wonderful camera work. Excellent verbal explanation of everything. Very detailed. I’m gonna have to say, it’s the best repair video I’ve ever watched. I’ve probably watched 500 of them. Mini videos have a good camera work but no verbal explanation. Your video was absolutely incredibly well explained, and detailed thank you very much

My PTO hub was awful. I took it loose and hit it with an angle grinder to take down some of the scoring. Then I finished up with a flat double cut file. I cleaned both the fiction disk and the hub with 92% alcohol. It grabs with authority now.

Fantastic video. Will follow along again as I rebuild mine. So looks like the two clamshell washers go opposite one another, basically forming a flying saucer… void in the middle?
    Thanks for the hard work!

No do not bend it. Something is wrong or not adjusted correctly or missing parts.

If the old barings aint beat up to bad could u just repack them? I know its not as good as new but..

    • @caseingersolltractorsnortheast
      @caseingersolltractorsnortheast  ปีที่แล้ว +2

They are pretty cheap, since they are already out we replace then so there is no questions. Plus if a customers machine it would cost more in labore to completely clean the old ones and repack than to quick pack new ones and toss them in. But you are right if on good shape one could choose to clean and repack the old ones. Thanks for watching and the comment it's appreciated!
